I’d give anything to have the optimism of Triple H, truly believing this time, on his fourth or fifth push, Karrion Kross is going to finally get over.

Fitting they’re putting the Authors of Pain with him, since Kross is the embodiment of this. A worthless pile of shit that’s destined to fail.

Wow, someone pissed on Supremo's cornflakes this morning! I mean.... wow! :)

Fucking hell lads. He's had a few dodgy promos but he's still absolutely one of the best wrestlers in the world with an insanely great body of work. Let's not write him off based on a shite Jericho segment.

I guess it depends how you define 'best wrestler in the world'.

I remember Lance Storm and Chris Jericho giving separate interviews to Powerslam back in the day and both said who they thought the best wrestlers in the world were.

Lance said Fit Finlay. Jericho said The Rock.

Even the most positive fans here are starting to notice what's happened to Kenny Omega.

Omega needs 6 months off, and to adjust his style to something he can do for a few more years, like Austin or (better example) Scott Steiner did.

Difference is Austin and Steiner also had bucketloads of charisma to mask a lot of their short comings. Omega is showing that 'Good in Japan' does not mean 'good'. He's always been over hyped and had the good fortune to be in the ring with genuine stars (like Okada) who could make him look better by proxy.

Fair fucks to the fella though. As has been said, him and the Bucks have managed to bag themselves massive guaranteed contracts so why not either stay at home or turn up and half arse it. I would.

I stick to talking about the real Punk, who I met some years ago at International Showdown.

He was surprisingly down to earth, and VERY funny.

I was training with Stevie Knight at the time and he came in the next day talking about what a twat Punk was - and this was coming from a guy who was friends with Alex Shane.

Agree with this. In-ring I see him as nothing more than a 2023 Snitsky, minus the acne-ridden upper back.

Yeah maybe I bought the smoke and mirrors too much. I always thought he was money when he was in NXT with the entrance and the overall presentation. He worked well in quick squashes where he could look like a monster.

Sadly, I think he has been exposed and as much as I like to think there is still something that can be salvaged there it is looking increasingly like there isn't.

  6. I thought Karrion Kross might have a chance now Trips is in charge. I figured keeping him off TV they were going to hope people forgot about how badly he's been jobbed and bring him back with a renewed push.

Clearly it was not to be.

Him making AEW jokes no one cared about and getting the crowd to chant L… A… Knight just didn’t do anything for me.

It was a reference that was fun for those who got it and made sense for those who didn't. He's right. You can't go around punching people backstage. If you were a fan with no knowledge of AEW it would make sense.

    No passive aggressiveness here, bud.

But, @Snitsky's back acne, I think the answer to ‘what do you want?’ is probably just ‘wrestling stuff, please’.

So stuff like, setting up future feuds with people by taking digs at them, that kind of thing? Giving your opponents ammunition to use against you in promos, that kind of thing?

Again, I can take him or leave him, but to he has been sowing seeds to future feuds and getting people talking about what he will do when he say/do when he shows up, which is absolutely 'wrestling stuff'.

  9. It does seem a little like Punk can't win at this point. He does a promo where he makes no insider references and gets criticised. He does one where makes a couple of digs and it's 'he really shouldn't do that it's not the right crowd'.

I'm not exactly a fan of the guy but it does seem a little bit like 'Christ, what DO you people want from the guy!?'.

Yeah I'm sure one of the best wrestlers in the world right now is dying to sign to a company so he can take 7 years to get over.

Shinsuke got over almost straight away in NXT. Again, it was mainly due to his entrance but go watch his main roster debut. MF'er was over. It was only as he was there longer than he got less over.

Considering WWE's terrible history with Japanese wrestlers (male ones, especially), him going there would be ill-advised for both sides, surely.

Admittedly it's a very low bar but they have got better. Nakamura won the Royal Rumble, got a title shot at Mania and was IC champ. He's currently the most interesting he has ever been and was massively over (well, his entrance was) when he was first called up.

I'd love to see Okada in WWE just from an intrigue perspective if nothing else

"Sometimes i'm angry at the world, sometimes i'd like to punch a lot of people."

    You can't fault his consistency.

He's just saying what we all think.

It's a really weird type of misogyny that I never understand. If the male wrestlers are given more leniency because the weirdos love their work in the wrestling, I'd have assumed female personalities would be forgiven even quicker when they qualify for (a) love their work in the wrestling AND (b) love them "the other way" as much as Sunny was adored in her prime. But it's not the case.

It's a fascinating siphoning process that people have with their morality when it comes to these things.

Regarding the DUIs, she seemed to get a much rougher time of it online than Jeff Hardy or Jimmy Uso, who seem to get immediately forgiven everytime once they return to the ring.

That's wrestling fandom, sadly. It's why certain people in Speaking Out are still active and others were exiled completely. Double standards in the wrestling world should come as a shock to no-one.

  15. Danielson and the committee did Punk a favour anyway. He wanted out. It was clear from most reports he wanted out. He's back in WWE on what is no doubt a massive contract. Punk won in the end.

There's been talk of a Dark match ever since Saraya debuted. Doubt its more than that. With the demise of the Youtube shows we'll never have to see it.

    Spoiler

He has apparently relocated to America so I doubt it is just a one off.

To be honest, everyone who took advantage of her and contributed towards her issues should shoulder some of the guilt for what's happened. That includes HBK, Raven, Sabu and all the rest.

They didn't make her repeatedly get behind the wheel of a car while drunk, however.

I agree that she was enabled by a lot of people during her time in the industry but her actions over the past 10 years or so are hers alone. Many people are addicts and/or have mental health issues but don't repeatedly drive while drunk, nor do they laugh about it/dismiss it after coming out of jail for doing so.

I'm also curious as to how the person who shit in the food gets away with things, the person who eats it sent home.

It's pro wrestling. Normal rules don't apply.

Tammy is a tough one. As has been highlighted, she was clearly treated horrifically in the wrestling business and was around a load of scummy people when she was very young. However, she has also never taken responsibility for anything she has done.
I have seen shoot interviews after her previous jail stints where she said 'All I did was drive a car!' and made light of her time inside. After the fatal crash she went on social media saying the man died of a heart attack and that she was not speeding etc.

I understand bluster and addicts denial etc but she clearly felt an entitlement to drive. In the aforementioned shoot she even said 'I know I wasn't allowed to drive but I'd just bought a new car so I HAD to give it a test run'.

We can feel bad for how she was treated by a scummy industry but also be glad that she has finally received some modicum of punishment for her clearly arrogant and reckless behaviour.

As the title of the thread says, what a car crash life!
