I mean, he's the hottest heel in the company right now but you do you.

Absolutely. Drew winning after sneak attacking the already injured Seth in a short almost squash match is great. It is totally what Drew would do and it would make people hate him even more. Lad's on fire right now. Utterly hateable bastard who is completely justified in his resentment and disdain for others. Give him the belt.

Can people now stop pretending that Nash is some Liberal nice guy? Guys A cunt.

Yeah I used to like Nash and Sean Oliver and I didn't expect Nash's response to the whole thing to be exactly damning considering his friendships but ... really not good. Completely tone deaf and offensive.

Jim Cornette's response to this whole thing was better than theirs. Think about that for a second.

I don't get why it doesn't make sense to some? The Rock and Roman are family. He may not LIKE him, but he is Family. And he's never  gonna choose Cody over his blood. It makes perfect sense. Loved it, Love Heel Rock, Loved him slapping Cody, talking shit to Haitch, it was fun seeing Roman and Rock strutting off together.

Have to agree. Only one who looked like a chump after all this was Seth Rollins.

Great pivot. Am looking forward to seeing what they do over the next few weeks and months.

  4. I've just been reading about the tanning salon incident with Vince from 2006 too. I'd forgotten about that until all this stuff came up.

I hope Ashley's family get justice. It sounds horrific what she went through. She is not here to give her voice to this whole thing but hopefully there is enough testimony from when she was alive to add weight to the case.

Just seen the amazing comparison of Ultimate Warrior coming out in 1990 and saying "Yeah, I know I accepted Hogan's challenge, but I've decided to step aside and let Bruno Sammartino take my place."

Hogan v Bruno would have kicked arse too though.

Sable's lawsuit was nearly 25 years ago.

Sunny also said that her food was shit in (I believe X-Pac confirmed both this and shitting in Sable's bag.). Amy Weber also spoke out about Randy Orton and Edge in 2005 after she was released too.

Honestly, if this does go to a criminal trial Vince is (quite rightly) fucked.

Another major Tony Khan announcement next week, presumably it's either Mercedes Mone or Okada? Or maybe both?

I'd honestly be shocked if Okada goes to AEW.
I can't see him officially leaving New Japan, relinquishing whatever title he had and (apparently) moving to America to go to AEW.
I know money talks and all the reports are saying he's going to AEW but I just can't see it.

  8. I've always thought 'Party Hard' by Andrew WK is a great All-Star Wrestling, full-on babyface 'get the crowd going' kind of track.

Also, during my tenure training at FWA North East (RIP) in 2005 we were coming up with gimmicks and I thought of a 'fat stripper who thinks he's the sexiest man alive' gimmick. His entrance music would have been 'I Touch Myself' by the Divinyls.

He gave back 400 million dollars because the Saudi's murdered a journalist. I don't doubt he cares about the bottom line, it's his job, but to claim that outweighs any moral objections he has does not appear to be based on precedent mimsy.

A journalist was murdered. It got worldwide press attention. It was great PR for his company to stop any dealings with the Saudi's at that point. 400 million for a multi billion dollar company will not be a fatal hit. I'm sure there's probably some way he could even claim it as a tax write off or something

As horrific and abhorrent as this whole thing is it has made barely a blip in the mainstream. A sponsor dropped out but quickly got back on board when Vince publicly resigned. He has no financial or PR reason, currently, to do anything else.

I'm sure he has some kind of moral compass like everyone does but you don't get to be a billionaire by being nice. If it's good PR or can make you money, you do it. If you're forced to do it because it will be bad PR or cost you massive future earnings, you do it. Otherwise you hand it to legal and make it quietly go away or ignore it.

  10. Okay, a moan..

I used to love the Rumble match. It was a guaranteed hour(ish) of non stop action.

Over the past God knows how many years it has just felt so lifeless and formulaic. If someone was in the match for twenty minutes they were fighting the entire time. Now it's come in, do one or two spots, lay down for ten minutes, maybe have a staredown with someone, lay down again, wash rinse repeat.

It feels very 'Going through the motions' rather than an actual struggle or fight.

Maybe I've just not watched enough modern mainstream wrestling lately and everything is like this now but the whole event felt a bit like everyone was just cruising.

Paul London is live now on Rene Dupree's podcast channel and just said "this is the tip of the iceberg"... lots more to come apparently.

He dated Ashley Massaro and has referenced some of the intimidation and harassment she received from certain executives in the company when they both worked there.

If Ashley's story gets used then, yes, I can imagine there is a lot more to come.

I imagine if (allegedly) Christy Hemme is able to circumvent her (alleged) NDA she might have quite the story to tell too.

This seems to be exactly it. Sad but true . I wonder if the Netflix and Rock announcements were expedited to “get ahead” of the bad news or if it was just a  crazy week in terms of timing ???

    Nothing like that is coincidence.

It's a 'look how mainstream and wholesome we are. We have The Rock on our Board of Directors. We're a wholesome company! Americana! USA! USA!'

As mentioned earlier, their share price hasn’t been dented at all really .

I would have thought it would have dropped significantly but no…

Outside of wrestling, do people care ?

People may care from the perspective of 'Oh that's horrible' etc but beyond that I sadly doubt it. Professional wrestling is seen as the lowest form of entertainment in most circles anyway. The general non fans think only idiots or weirdos watch it/enjoy it and it only ever gains mainstream traction for the negative stuff.

Advertisers and decision makers won't care as long as it is seen as a good investment.

'This company is run by a paedophile and a drug addict, Sir'

    'Yes, but is it profitable?".
