  1. Im curious as to what they'll do with GTA Online. It's a stand alone game these days so I'm curious if it'll remain and get small updates for some time and we get an all new GTA 6 online or something like that.

  2. We've watched the first 5 and enjoyed it so far. They did a great job remaking the set to be true to the series and it all feels spot on. Quite a few nods to the show itself too with some of the contestants and how they act which is cool even if they were likely pre orchestrated.

The online reaction doesn't seem to be great and lots of the contestants had a hell of a rough time filming Red Light, Green light by all accounts.

Can't wait for the 2nd batch!

  3. I used to have feeders up in the garden which constantly attracted a group of around 20+ Starlings that would descend and decimate the food  in moments. I absolutely loved it but I read if they get too comfortable they'll end up trying to nest in your roof/attic so the Mrs made me stop.

We did have a Robin that would chill on the fence until the Starlings fucked off and then he'd have a nibble of what was left. My Mother loved Robins and I've since read that many believe they are your lost loved ones checking in on you so I was always happy to see him.

Fuck it, the feeders are coming back out!

  4. EA UFC 5

Absolutely no idea what they've been working on for the last 3 years as it seems no different to the last game. Career mode is basically a carbon copy of the last instalment as is the create a fighter system. No new fighters have been added at all and it plays virtually identical (Mike Goldberg) outside of a slightly tweaked submission system.

I haven't played the last game for a few years so I'm not completely jaded yet. Happy I bought the disc version so I can flog it when I inevitably get bored.

    2 tomatos out of 5.

Not a fan of this main event personally it's a huge let down in comparison

Jones fighting is always a massive spectacle, but I don't think anyone really gave Stipe a chance here. It seemed one way traffic to me. Big Sergei v Captain Tom should be a really interesting match up.

This has royally fucked up Jones' graceful exit plan. From what he's said, he had no real motivation to fight any of the new blood at Heavyweight, but I think it's gonna be hard for him not to now we'll have an interim belt in the mix.

So many questions here... What happens with Stipe? If Jones does come back he's surely not side stepping Pav/Tom to give Stipe the fight?

Can Jones keep a level head and not go on a mad one in the meantime?

    Crazy sport.

  6. I thought it was pretty decent overall. Matt Jones certainly feels like a dick but I thought he came off ok at the end. There's a particular scene with him that was pretty hard to watch and I'm surprised they kept it in. My only other takeaway is that Haley J's boyfriend is an absolute tool. Him getting interviewed in his wreck of a car was very apt.

All this chatter reminds me I bought a 'Got Head' T shirt in 1999. Al was over with me, even if he never drew a dime.

  7. Main talking point for me was how Usman faired. Really took me by surprise that. I've no complaints with a 10-8 in the first but I had Usman winning 2 and 3. Chimaev didn't really seem gassed in the second, he was moving well with lots of feints and head movement but he just never got going at all. Very odd. DDP might get the Strickland fight after all.

Absolutely gutted for Volk there and seeing him at the presser was crushing. Rushing back for Topuria in January probably not the best idea right now. Fella needs to look after himself

The Johnny Walker madness continues. Weird old night of fights.

  8. I'm not sure. Perry is pretty much the face of Bare Knuckle at this point.

It's all a bit mad. On paper, leaving the UFC and ending up in BKFC seems like a career killer, but Perry appears to be making better money, is a bigger star in a prominent position and seems like he's in a much better place in his life mentally than ever before.

    It's a crazy world.

  9. Bit of a nothing post, but audiobooks are just fucking great. I've always wanted to read more, but I just can't sit there for any length of time with a book in my hands without getting fidgety and shortly giving up. Since joining Audible, I'm averaging around 50-70 hours a month of listening time. I absolute love that I can stick a book on and get on with any mundane household task that doesn't require much thought and just happily listen away. It's at the point now where I'm looking forward to a full ironing basket on the weekend! Madness.

  10. Drive confidently in unknown/busy areas.

Approaching 20 years since I passed my test but I still put off or just completely avoid driving unknown places if I can help it. Sat Nav has made things easier but I still absolutely hate it.

  11. 2 episodes in watching it with the other half. I could see her getting a bit disinterested early doors but the end of episode 1 with the mother and daughter part seemed to grab her a little bit so maybe there's hope.

Couldn’t quite believe my ears when I heard Al Snow say that he used to bring the Mannequin Head with him to restaurants.

I was more shocked when Al Snow proclaimed himself to be a draw. Madness.

  12. I'm going to be away during UFC 295 but I'm hoping I'll have a little time to watch in between.

I've never used the app before but on downloading it, it seems pretty rubbish and the search function is just throwing up random stuff for UFC that doesn't seem to be in any particular order, nor do the majority of events appear.

Can anyone speak on the reliability of the app? Do the shows go up pretty quickly and am I likely to see spoilers the day after the show?

    Cheers.

  13. Since we're on dreams.

Last week I thought I'd woken up in the night and could feel my Mrs lying dead weight on me, she was almost clutching me around the chest but it didn't feel familiar. I glanced at her in the dim light and she just looked like a black shadow holding on to me. I was trying talk to her, asking what was wrong but I couldn't get any words out nor did she move at all. Freaking out a bit I thought I'd try and turn on the bedroom light which is just about reachable from our bed if I stretch. I was stretching, but not seemingly moving at all due to her grabbing on to me with a strong grip. It felt like I was struggling  to reach for some time and eventually managed to move myself with her attached to me and reach the switch. My finger got to the panel but there was no switch to press. I remember feeling terrified and collapsed back on to the bed with her holding on tighter and it felt like I was being swallowed up into something. I started to try and call out but again, I couldn't make any sound. It seemed like I was being pulled down into something and after a few moments I felt complete acceptance of what was happening.

Woke up a moments later gasping for breath.

    Never again, please!

  14. To call Strickland 'Dana's boy' is  laughable considering the UFC seemingly didn't want to give him the title fight at all until Izzy pushed for it and there was no one else. Strickland's coach has come out and said the fight was in jeopardy and that Jared Cannoniers (who was there as backup) had coaches flown over last minute after Strickland punched a fan in the guts whilst doing media and they were concerned the UFC would pull him.

I'm not even sure that was the point David was making. Read to me that  Dana was flip flopping other than anything else.. If he was hell bent on 'his boy' getting a defence in so he can call himself a real champion, surely he would have shit on the idea of a rematch to start with?

If you've seen or heard anything from Dana regarding Strickland before or after the fight, it's pretty obvious he is massively indifferent and is crossing his fingers Strickland doesn't do anything else stupid.

Izzy is one of their biggest stars, but I'd say the vast majority of people are against an immediate rematch. He hasn't made a defence during this reign and the win was very one sided and not a flash KO that could be debated as being lucky. There are a ton of challengers backed up including a potential match up with Khamzat if he gets through Costa next month.

Or are we just assuming it's a race thing?
