@Chest Rockwell The Walkerswood Scotch Bonnet sounds like I must try it - is it one you can find in general supermarkets?  Agree that Scotch Bonnet has a nice fruity flavour, I always try and grow them but not had much luck so far.

They sell it in a local shop here, but I feel like I have also seen it in the 'ethnic food aisle' in the supermarket..

This is probably the one I use most. It's really fruity with a good kick, but on the right side of being too sugary / jammy (really can't abide stuff like sweet chilli).

This is my choice for something milder, but more tangy.

Those are the two that come to mind first.

  3. Cauliflower hash brown. I really like them. The outside is still nice and crispy by they have a sweetness to them and a softer texture on the inside. (There is a mix of potato and cauliflower in them, I think).

  4. I don't see it. There was nothing awkward or ridiculous from his side there. "I'm a cricket fan, I also like to generally watch sport but I don't follow football closely enough to have a team", is a pretty reasonable stance, with Kay trying to make the exchange some kind of half hearted gotcha moment.

  5. I was given the job of choosing some jazz my dad would have liked for his cremation so I went very on the nose and picked Horace Silver - song for my father.

Originality really isn't particularly important in this scenario is it?

Was it my mum by any chance? This is an old Indian woman's remedy to everything, rather clarified butter than regular butter but put it in any hot drink containing milk and it is apparently the answer to pretty much any health problem. Diabetes? Butter in hot milk. Cold? Butter in hot milk. Sore throat? Butter in hot milk. Arthritis? Butter in hot milk. Add a bit of tumeric and it will turn you in to an invincible God.

Did she ever advise putting ghee on your baby's anus? As that was the home remedy mine advised for constipation...

I drink an outrageous amount of tea through the day, sugars no good to you, I like to keep fit and I don't really like the taste of it either to be honest, in my opinion tea with honey tastes much nicer anyway.

I have bad news for you, and that is that honey is still refined sugar. It's just been refined by a bee.

I’m a bit obsessed with the dumpster fire of Kanye West. It’s as tragic as it is funny. As is the Charlemagne interview where he talks about Kanye ringing him distraught about Pete Davisons big white willy.

I love that that is so specifically the exact opposite of what played out on here with that chap and his girlfriend's Kanye poster.

  9. The obscurity of the process is probably our first line of defense so I feel like it would be irresponsible of me to take any steps to demystify that in any way...

  10. Palace is my local team. He played for them around the time I moved back in with my folks after Uni and was hanging out with old mates from the area who were all big Palace fans.

I think I might have actually seen him play at a home game (I've only ever been to three football games).

  11. Same for me. I don't buy or read newspapers anyway but will always try to avoid giving clicks to those publications, and if I'm looking for a source to share on a topic will go out of my way to avoid sharing links to them.

I didn't even think of it until you mentioned it because I've been doing it out of habit for so long..

Just started watching Uncharted. Will see it through but fuck me... Wahlberg is just intolerable. And also I can't listen to him speaking without hearing Andy Samberg's impression from SNL.

Halfway through this I realised I had seen it before. That should tell you about as much as you need to know about how memorable it is.

I really wanted to like it a lot more than I actually did.

I went to see Wonka on Monday. It was a lot of fun. There are some decent songs, that will no doubt get stuck in my head as my daughter plays them on repeat around the house, but the musical numbers didn't wow me.

The film overall was good though, with some really great performances (Hugh Grant sterling the show of course). I thought Timothee Chalamet's version of Wonka suited the film if you don't worry too much about comparing it to previous versions or what you think the character should be. He's young and more earnest and trusting, and has not yet become an eccentric recluse.

Paul King loves a jailbreak and heist it seems, doesn't it?
