I really hope Andy doesn't think i'm speaking out of turn. He is truly one of the most caring compassionate people not just in wrestling but in life and for you to write what you did about him is fucking disgusting.

I think it was pretty fair in context. If he doesn't like people criticizing him on a public forum regarding something that unfolded on this forum years ago and his mental opinions regarding the welfare of wrestlers, he should man up and get a new job.

On Topic, looking forward to seeing what happens on Impact tonight (haven't seen the spoilers). Must admit, when I saw the post at the top of the page about a Dixie Carter announcement, I thought she was announcing TNA had been put to bed, but she seems (sorta) positive, so hopefully with a few more cutbacks (Mr Anderson) TNA might not be too bad, and they can actually bring through some new talent

I'm glad he now seems to have stopped doing the "Rapey" take your trousers off thing he was doing with the Knockouts.

 

They could have turned this around for him after he was announced as the final participant in the Lockdown match. He had come back from an Aces & 8's beating and could quite easily have dropped the comedy side enough to put him over as a serious threat to Bully, if you built him up by trying to get a match anyway he could and trying to win the X Div belt to get to Bully (is he light enough???). Could have been good and I would have loved to see Young vs Samoa Joe for the title at BFG. Interests me a lot more than any potential Sabin match anyway.

I was thinking the same thing. When he returned as the last member of Team TNA for the match against Aces and 8's, he came back and put a beating on them in the ring and stood tall with the rest of what is now the Main Event Mafia, an looked pretty bad ass. Since then, all I remember him doing is giving Brooke Hogan the Knockout Tag Titles back with ODB

I'm not saying Daniel Bryan getting pushed is a bad thing, but how long ago is it that Chris Sabin has been going 50/50 on the first match of ther card? His only loss is to "Suicide" / Aries since his return isn't it? He's been injured for so long, and prior to that he was in a sucessful tag team

Does the whole destination x concept not just make the X Division title look weaker than it already is. The fact that Sabin binned it off for a world title shot the second he won it back?

 

On the contrary, I think it reinforces the idea that at any time a guy that's good enough to be the top guy in the X Division could also be a credible threat to the World title. That's not something we would have said 13 months ago.

 

For me it just devalues the world title. "Oh, the man who's been going 50/50 in opening matches beat the world champion? How shit must the old champion be then?"

Is that any worse than WWE pushing a guy who got beat at Wrestlemania and lost his World Title in just a little over 7 or 8 seconds?

Mark Briscoe will be returning to ROH on the 7/27 show in Providence to face Adam Cole in the first round of the ROH tournament.

Jay Briscoe will not be in the tournament, selling the shoulder injury.

Someone needs to tell Pritchard to make a spreadsheet with the list oftalent in one column and thee date their contract expires in the other. And stick a post it note on his desk telling him to check it once a month.

Not to be picky, but they should also tell him to sort the sheet by the Contract Expiry date, with the closest date at the top, and the furthest away at the bottom. That way, it's not too much of a chore for him to look at who's at the top and when their contract needs to be picked up again

Watched the Kel Brook and Luke Campbell fights tonight. Backed both of them to win by KO, so was happy with both results. The Luke Campbell fight never got going though did it. The commentators were hyping his opponent up a bit, and he got finished inside 1 round.

I've just watched the reveal of Aries as Suicide from last weeks show. TNA have dropped the ball putting the title back on Sabin. Aries got a great reaction from the crowd, and from Bully Ray.

Now I've seen that, this weeks show is much more disappointing

My point is about the sexual harassment. I watch it now, and even based on what everyone has said, I don't look at it and think "Sexual harassment" I think "Austin Aries being a dick". The whole situation could have been sorted out and handled so much better than it actually has

I'm not defending Aries here, but having watched it, I think what he did was him being in Charcater and being a Dick Head heel, he saved the situation a little bit by playing up to it, over stepped the line a little bit, obviously for Christy to make a complaint about it.

But I have a question regarding the situation. Had Christy made this complaint, and everything got sorted out behind the scenes, would we really be talking about this? Did anyone actually notice this whilst watching Impact and think "fuckin hell mate, that ain't right. That's sexual harrassment that is"

Anyone else reading X-Men at the moment? I was sceptical with Brian Michael Bendis taking over, but it's been superb. Uncanny X-Men and All New X-Men are my two first buys, right now.

In case anyone hasn't seen, Marvel have put up 700 issue 1's on their app and comixology and their own app until tomorrow. You might struggle to actually download them, but as long as you complete the "purchase" by tomorrow, they're all yours for free.

 

Servers are knackered for both apps. They've been swamped. Comixology won't let me login, or use the forgotten password link, or create a new account. I downloaded the Marvel app and that one keeps flashing up "failed to connect to store" after a bit, and trying to download anything it just says "cannot connect to billing service at this time." Saw online that they might be extending the offer to allow it all to calm down and everyone to get them.

 

Managed to download about 50 before I got kicked off. I got pretty lucky, I happened to be on just as they were setting it up. The advantages of living in a completely different time zone I guess. Lots of free #1 issues from recent series too.

 

Apparently the promotion is now "on hold" until they can resolve it.

 

Utterly barmy promotion. I'd love to know if it had a positive / negative impact on their overall profitability.

I'm imagining they're thinking fans will pick up older issues of titles they may have just started collecting, hoping to entice them into buying some older titles titles too, or that fans will pick up issues of a series that they may have been thinking about picking up but haven't yet picked up. I doubt it would have a negative impact, but as far as how positive of an impact it makes, only Marvel / Comixology will know

I always *try* to be fairly easy about the big accas like that. I've won a lot of money off them on the past, so much that over the period of time I've been betting often I'm way way up. Still pisses you off, though, doesn't it?

The problem was, I did all teams who's odds were 1.5 or under. Except 1 team, which were 1.73 and I only did them because they were a part of that facebook page's big acca, and it was the same team that let them down.

Did a 14 team accumulator yesterday on all pretty heavy favorites. 1 team let me down. I now instantly hate this team.

Today HT-FT on a czech u21 league match seemed a bit random for me. It's rare he does HT-FT I'd probably just have done it as a win which would've been up. He still has a very good record, he's just made me look a tit recomending him though.

I've started following that now. Backed his later 2 options last night, along with Ajax Reserves. The Man U - Reading corners bet let me down though. Might have a look what is posted today though and maybe jump on it
