Listening to the last scheduled 'Letters from Kayfabe' - excellent podcast. Really enjoyable, terrific topics. Thank you gents.

Did the WWF/WCW archive all that content they put out on the Superstar Line/Mean Gene hotline? I can't imagine they did, but I imagine there's some real historical value to some of the stuff that would have aired on those.

Buy it! NJPW World! It's like seven quid. Come on. You can definitely justify it for this match, believe me.

Bret was first to kick out of the Perfect Plex.

How good does Tugboat look?!
-
Ricky Morton and Jeff Hardy jostling on top of cranes as a volcano went off in the background was the best bit. Bonkers. And when they beat up the boat. The shot from the boat's point of view creased me.

Anything can happen in the WWF.

I really liked their first one as well. Great chemistry.

Why do referees not get beaten up these days? Security always get it but refs remain untouched. Is it something to do with PG and showing respect to authority?
Makes sense. Protect the referee's authority and any cheating a heel can get away with means so much more.

The Wrestlemania VII Blindfold Match is a thing of beauty from a psychology perspective of that match format. The hate it gets is absolutely daft.
Quoted for truth. Absolutely brilliant professional wrestling.

I watch both Superstars and Main Event every week, enjoy them both. There was a period about 4 years ago when I honestly thought Superstars was the best in-ring WWE show on TV at the time. The likes of Hunico, Primo, Matt Bourne etc were absolutely tearing it up every week, and given decent time.
Can't believe I missed a Doink comeback!

I actually liked the Heyman thing more on the second watch than the first. It's obviously the angle of the year overall, right?
-
Goldberg's return promo was promo of the year.
-
Not for me. It was okay. Did the job.
-
Surely any deal would have made them a Mickey Mouse promotion.

Was Sargent Slaughter an advocate for slaughter?
-
He's gotten the chicken wing over like Rover. Smart guy and top talent.
-
Of course it was planned.
-
I liked how all the Scottish guys went over. That's just smart business, but a lot of promoters wouldn't have pushed for that.
-
The one in Manchester is off tonight, sadly.

I guess Bret Hart's 20-year contract would have been up last month.

Borash is a talented guy and versatile with it. If I was running a company and he became available, I'd snap him up in a second.
-
Are today's fans the worst ever or what? Ruin a guy's last match in the only time his kid ever sees him? Wow. I really hope not.

I think they're bored. I think they've exhausted everything they're willing to do on TV and thus will be on this continuous autopilot until somebody reinvents the wheel to the point they need to change to keep up. But even then, who has the platform to make it mean anything? There's been loads of crazy stuff outside WWE this year, but it's all so niche. Really, they're much in the same position they've been in for 15 years. And to that extent, I guess why change? This year's WrestleMania was the biggest ever and they're still doing well, even after essentially killing off their core PPV business. Strange times.

I keep hearing all this stuff about how Owens didn't deserve this outcome... bizarre! He won it via nefarious means, without doing anything to cause the pinfall. He retained it time and time again by cheating, using his friend to make it through each hurdle... and then he roughs up the friend? The guy got EXACTLY what he deserved. It was classic pro wrestling.
