  1. I think the main point for Westlondonmist (I might be wrong) is that the UK shows seem to be lacking of any real significance and the fact they can't be bothered to get the main players over for the event isn't going to endear some sections of the paying audience. The UK is the WWEs second biggest market outside of the US (or was?) why they wouldn't go 'all out' for these shows, nobody knows. I am hoping they announce Tanahashi in the final slot just to appease fans for not having Ibushi, Omega, Bucks, Naito etc.

  2. That's an incredible photo. Is that the most human and ordinary Vince has ever looked in a picture?

Above all else, I love how utterly uncomfortable both men look as if they both learned how to pose for a photo by reading a manual moments before it was taken.

Human? He looks like a re-animated corpse.

  3. My brother is a right dickhead most of the time.

But if he died and people asked for my thoughts on what a dickhead he was so they could put it on telly, I'd probably downplay it and play the misunderstanding card too.

I get that but if its blatant then you might as well say that he had his demons but people change, mature and develop as individuals.

  4. Lanny is a fuckin loon. All that intellectual bullshit and bordering on delusional adoration for Randy. Don't get me wrong I get that they were brothers but god sake everyone says how controlling Randy was and how paranoid he was of Liz leaving him. So why does Lanny feel the need to pretend it is all one big misunderstanding? He comes off as a right idiot at times.

  5. Rusev made sense as he's similar in dimension to Lesnrar, thus answering the question "Could Goldberg still jackhammer Lesnar?". For that reason I saw nothing wrong with it. It wouldn't have made that sense with the small Colons.

I always thought Lesnar looked like a beast compared to Rusev...?

  6. I'm dying for those mid 90s shows to be available. Sure they were colliseum exclusives and a bit dull but would bring me straight back to my youth. The UK shows particularly.

The Last Battle wasn't bad though suffers very slightly from lack of commentary to provide the context.

Oh god thats a day gone! I am intrigued about Taker in SMW.

  8. Just finished 'The Picture of Dorian Gray' by Oscar Wilde. Bloody brilliant! Fascinating in its portrayal and subtle nod to Wilde's homosexuality and the themes of self-indulgence and passionate sin are well worked into the story. I had never really read much Wilde before this but really want to read more of it since. The novel got criticised following its publication but turned out to be one of the great stories of the last few hundred years. Definitely worth a look.

  9. Holy Foley was relatively fun, nothing earth shattering and clearly scripted but it was an easy half hour. Foley comes across as fairly reasonable whilst his wife has aged like a bag of turd - looks like a bloke with purple hair extensions. The story of Dewey and Noelle wanting to make it on their own is good and I can see from the next trailer that her ambitions aren't coming east. Though Noelle looks like a bloody foot, I think it's her mouth!

  10. Reading 'The Greatest Show On Earth' by Richard Dawkins - a bloody brilliant, albeit somewhat preachy, explanation of evolution by one of the greatest writers in its field. I personally love Dawkins, one of my all time heroes, and so of course I would love the book too. It is a tad heavy in places.

  11. I have never bought Balor - not quite sure what the fuss is about. He can certainly work but I have no reason to like or dislike him, he is Randy Orton for the future - a guy that can have a decent match but who just doesn't do it for me at all.

He was excellent in NJPW and others where he didn't have to rely on a gimmick but the Demon thing just seems pointless. When he cuts a promo he looks out of place and seems to flounder - see his promo leading to the announcement of Balor vs Nakamura.

I can see him going to shit on the main roster when you have the likes of Styles, New Day etc who have the crowd eating out the palm of their hands.

  12. I was tad disappointed with the Nakamura vs Balor match this week. Something was missing and I believe that had it been in an arena that didn't have fans who weren't interested or which tried to use chants to get themselves over it would have been blistering. Dallas crowd would have worked perfectly.

  13. I was a tad let down this month though that is a one off as I love some of the articles normally. The MMA top fights was a little flat but that is because I don't watch. I have always seen FSM as more of a wrestling magazine so when we get lengthy MMA articles I skip half the magazine. That said for those who like both products I am sure it was a good edition.

  14. I am currently reading (and massively enjoying) The Gunslinger by Stephen King. Fantastic fiction by the king (pun intended) of horror which is more heavily focused on fantasy with less of the horror elements that can often turn off the readership. It is a relatively short novel too which really helps for those who don't want to trudge through the likes of 1000+ page 'It' or Under the Dome.
