  1. The problem being that they make money from it. And you're against them making money, on the basis of it being imbecilic.

I'm not "against" them making money at all, i'm simply saying that anyone who actually puts their own hard-earned cash into the BNP of their own free will are imbeciles.

The Euro money is already going into the pocket of a politician, isn't it? If not Griffin, then someone from another party.

So, anyone that gives them money is an imbecile, but anyone that helps them get money isn't?

Oh, and the only 'statement' you make by voting for the BNP is the statement that you support the BNP. How you can support them, while supposedly being against them, is one of the stupidest things I've ever seen.

  2. This is a really weak argument, I think.

It's more a statement than an argument really. I'm 100% against the European situation, and as such have no problem seeing people like Griffin making a mockery of it.

Once we get our referendum on the situation i'll start to take it seriously.

The problem being that they make money from it. And you're against them making money, on the basis of it being imbecilic.

Your statement about thinking anyone helping financially support them being idiotic does not make any sense when you help vote them into a lucrative European role.

  3. Vol. 12 is out in April, according to Amazon.

I'll see if my local comic shop has your new publication in it, and if not I'll get them to order some.

Now I'm up to date with Walking Dead, I'm about to get my teeth back into DMZ. Not sure where they're going to go with it, but vol. 1 is really good, interesting story well told.

Talking of smurfs, aren't the Moomins Belgian or Norwegian or something?

    Swedish, I think.

I've heard you mentioned DMZ before - can I ask you for a pr

  4. The Smurfs (Les Schtroumpfs) are Belgian, I'm pretty certain.

Pfft. Belgian, French, it's all the same.

(And the magazine got it right - I got it wrong on here, partially because I glibly summed up 'Bande Dessinee' as 'French Comics'.)

  5. I looked round my house the other day, saw my shelves full of those lovely lead DC and Marvel figures, and realised I couldn't give a damn about the big 2 companies any more. So...I might check out this Comic Heroes, but unless it's got a lot about Image and the indies and little about Marvel and DC (which, of course, makes no economic sense for you guys) I may not stick around.

    Er...Walking Dead vols. 10 and 11. They're ace.

There's a fair amount of stuff on indy comics, but not Image (off the top of my head). There's an enormous article on 'getting into writing for comics' which focuses on advice from Indy writers. There's also a decently sized article on 'Bande Dessinee' (French comics - I didn't know the Smurfs were French. That scared me). And there's a full look at the 'Apocalypse War' from 2000AD, with input from the creators. Also, a bio of John Constantine (who I know is DC, but is more Indy than most mainstream output).

So yeah, there's a lot of DC and Marvel, but a LOT of other stuff.

  6. 'Comic Heroes' is a new magazine out at the moment (from the makers of SFX). It's aimed at comic newbies and the hardcore fan at the same time, and has a shitload of content.

It's also got a guide to the DC Universe, written by me. And lots of other stuff.

So, yeah, please buy it, so I can afford food.

  7. Nah, she's a cunt. Your kid was killed... blah blah, get over it.

    Drop dead......please?

I trust that post was ment to be a "ooo look how out there i am with my views"

How old are you? Id guess about 13?

Raven, what the "do gooders" here on this forum fail to realise is that they have became caught up so much with things like the "rights" of criminals, so much so that these days they forget that Venables tortured a toddler to death. But when Denise Fergus speaks up to disagree with the taxpayer paid "Children's Commissioner" on a matter that affects her to the point that if what Atkinson proposed was in place in 1993 her sons killers would have literally got away with murder, she's called by the intellectual "heavyweights" here a cunt, whore and told to shut the fuck up. Liberal Fascism at its best.

This is where the social liberal agenda of the last five decades have led to I'm afraid. UK society has became FUBAR'd.

There should be no minimum age of criminal responsibility in this country, if a youth commits a crime the police should be allowed to determine wherever if the youth concerned was aware of what they were doing and wherever they should be sent to be prosecuted, along with the parents or guardians if need be.

Wendall Cooley is the 'intellectual heavyweight' of the forum?

People have asked what makes Denise Fergus' opinion carry so much weight. That doesn't mean that she should shut up - just that the media shouldn't keep going to her. Her opinions shouldn't be front page news.

  8. Wonder what the sun's headline would be if he was posting on here?

Bulger Killer Was Chris Benoit Fan.

We can reveal today that sick Jamie Bulger killer Jon Venables was a fan of child-killer Chris Benoit. While Jamie's family still have to suffer with their loss, Jon Venables spent his days and nights posting on Benoit-worship site 'The UKFF'.

The internet forum, which has a BNP-inspired logo, spends most of it's time:

    - Talking about the killers 'workrate'

    - Telling SICK jokes about cancer-stricken angel JADE GOODY

    - MOCKING poor STEPHEN GATELY

    - HARRASSING wrestling promoters like STEPHEN GAUNTLEY

    - TEASING the handicapped mentalists on their board like MAB and 'VICTOR C'

One insider, who goes by the violent name of 'Carbomb' said 'it's sick. They constantly tease people and praise Chris Benoit, despite the fact he violently murdered kids, just like Jon Venables. I worry about immigrants. I think anyone who murders kids like poor sweet Jamie Bulger and poor little Daniel Benoit should be killed.'

  9. I thought MacKenzie had the crowd against him. He got some cheers and applause when he appealed to the lowest common denominator, or did his 'grumpy old men' routine (where he declared semantics to be the worst thing about the death of a disabled man hounded by delinquents).

However, he was in Liverpool and tried to make out that the press can be trusted not to whip up a storm. He certainly had a cheek doing that, and I'm shocked nobody brought up his Hillsborough coverage.

  10. I've spent two working days on and off reading this thread from start to finish. It's one of the best ever.

And I can't remember who was looking for a band name, but 'Dark Discharge' has got to be a winner.

But what I wanted to know never really got dsicussed. When you're pushing the baby out, do you shit and piss and bleed everywhere?

Often, the mother will be given a laxative very early in labour so she doesn't make a mess. The muscles you use to push out a really stubborn turd are pretty much the same muscles used to push out a kid. There's gonna be some blood, because things get...torn. Plus there's all the gunk the baby's covered in and has been living in for the previous 9 months. Piss...I really don't know.

    Dude, you know NOTHING.

They stopped giving women enemas years ago as if there is a bowel movement, it helps the midwives to see how the baby's head is progressing.

As for the muscles being the same as the ones you use when opening your bowels, theyre not. Your womb contracting is doing most of the work and the rest of the muscles are just close to the ones you would use on the loo.

Blood? well DUH. The placenta (which is fascinating) will be breaking away from the wall of the womb, along with the 'cushion' thats been keeping baby snug for 9 months (what comes out when you have a period)

Pissing? very few women dont, unless your able to have a pee in dignity before your babys born.

Oh and then theres sick too.

I am so glad I have a cock.

  11. The video "Child's Play 3" was reckoned to be a major factor and its naming brought back the 80's "Video Nasties"

If memory serves, it turned out they'd never seen it. One of their dads had a copy, that was all. It was just typical media hysteria.

  12. After reading tpb's almost exlusively for quite a while, I've actually set up a comic subscription again. I've added the classic Batman and Amazing Spider-Man titles, but obviously I have no clue about the current arcs so if anyone can briefly fill me in on those 2 that'd be great, I'm pretty lost. Also been reading the Modern Warfare 2: Ghost comics which recounts the story of Ghost from the video game. Pretty cool stuff if you're a fan of the game. Any other recommendations to add to my monthly sub?

Also currently re-reading Transmet, what a beautiful asshole Spider is.

How familiar are you with the past couple of years of ASM? If you've barely read any then there was a big retcon a while back called Brand New Day (so anything before that you don't need to worry too much about), you can find most of the details here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brand_New_Day_(comics). This year's a good year to get back into ASM as there's a big story arc going on called The Gauntlet, where it's basically one classic spidey villain (with a few upgrades) after another. It's a welcome return to the classic structure of superhero storytelling in contrast to the endless 'epic' crossovers going on in the rest of the Marvel Universe.

Thanks for that, got a bit of a grip of goings on. I've only really read bits and bobs and was up to date on the goings on in Civil War. Seems most of that has all been forgotten, damn Marvel and thier zero continuity.

If any Batman readers can update me in a similar manner I'd be greatful. I'm aware Bruce Wayne isn't around and Dick Grayson has taken the Batman guise, despite Bruce asking him not to. What exactly happened to Bruce?

Bruce got killed at the end of 'Final Crisis'.

    Sort of.

He got hit by the 'Omega Sanction', which is basically 'living death'. He was transported back to caveman times, and appears to be fighting his way back to the present time, but for all intents and purposes in the Batman universe, he's dead.

Dick Grayson is the new Batman, and Bruce's illegitimate son, Damian, is the new Robin.

  13. For his confusing hero worship / hatred of Nick Griffin, and for apparently spending hours masturbating over BNP stories before posting about them, and consistently bringing every political discussion back to the sodding BNP, I'm voting for Hardcore Harry. I think there could have been some genuinely good discussion on some topics without him.

The most annoying thing is that he claims to be against the BNP, but obsesses about them like a 13 year old that's just been chucked.

  14. I'm probably being worked like it's 1989, but what is the deal with McMahon's commentary during the Austin - Bret Hart match at the Survivor Series in 1996? It does seem rather mean-spirited, even though McMahon is the good guy commentator here.

"Bret Hart's offence looks like nothing at all"

    "He should have stayed retired"

"Austin is the miles better competitor and wrestler!"

Things like that. The match is on Vintage Collection this week.

Isn't that Vince laying the foundations for Brets heel turn when he dd the 'shoot' type promo on Vince and the way that he'd been mistreated and undervalued by the WWE?

It could be, but if it was, he either didn't tell Bret, or Bret has kept kayfabe since then.

In both 'Wrestling with Shadows' and his autobiography, Bret talks about the heel turn coming later than that, as far as I remember.

That said, I'm more than willing to be corrected on this if someone can remind me of something I'm forgetting.

  15. Wasn't that around the time WCW were chucking stupid money at Bret to sign with them?

Just after. Bret had just signed a lower-in-the-short term, higher-in-the-long-run contract with the WWF, after WCW had thrown the stupid money at him.

I've just remembered another small detail from that match (I think). At one point, Austin goes for the Sharpshooter on Bret, and JR makes reference to the unlikeliness of Bret submitting to his own move. Vince replies 'It could happen'.

Amusing, considering what came at the following years event.

Am I right in remembering that, at the end of the match, JR makes a reference that 'On this night, Bret Hart was unbeatable, and proved he could beat anybody - even Shawn Michaels', and McMahon vehemently disagrees?

  17. Does anyone know why Kurt Angle doesnt wear his Olympic gold medal in TNA?

Just wondering if he's been stopped from wearing it since leaving WWE?

It's because James Wallace could get a try-out at any time, and the safes aren't that secure.

Gratuitous dig there. That said, didn't Wallace claim he will be on the next Olympic team anyway? This is probably still his best chance of taking home gold!

Oh, it was the gratuitousness of the dig that (hopefully) made it funny.
