  1. That was just to highlight that we're a bit more than just "best friends" because we are, it's deeper than that, and we both feel that way, just dating and stuff will fuck it up.

She's rejecting you and trying not to hurt your feelings.

In fairness, she might be sweet on him, and he's too much of an idiot to realise.

  2. anyone else find it weird that Reynolds now plays 2 popular supehero's?

is there any other actors to play 2?

Chris Evans played Johnny Storm in Fantastic 4, and will play Captain America - meaning he'll be two people in the same 'universe'.

James Marsden came close - he played Cyclops and also turned up as Lois Lane's husband in 'Superman Returns'. He was also, if memory serves, in the running to play Jesse Custer at one point.

  3. 2) The story at the time was that Luger was going to win the title at Mania 10, but got drunk one night and told folks so, and was denied the title win.

That turned out to be bollocks though. Luger was dead on his arse long before WrestleMania X (thats why they did the double victory at the Rumble, to see who the hottest babyface was). The plan from Royal Rumble was for Bret to win the belt. If they were scared people knew the result of the main event of Mania before hand, they would have given Luger the belt because everyone was expecting Hart to regain it anyway.

I have read somewhere (not sure where) that the main event was meant to be Luger/Bret. So Luger was meant to beat Yoko, so they got the best of both worlds; the USA victory, then a great match on top.

  4. Did a match on WCW Nitro ever finish during the commercial break?

The only reason I ask was because they always use to say 'if match ends during the commercial break we will show you the replay'

I think it's because it's subtly breaking kayfabe to be absolutely certain that the match will continue longer than the commercial break. I think Cole got rightly told off for continually saying 'this match will continue when we return'.

While I can't remember any match finishes occurring, Kurt Angle did drop a fall to Brock Lesnar during their Iron Man match. Showing the pinfall as a replay was actually really cool, and I wish they'd use it a little more.

  5. Also picked up Final Crisis. Not my favourite. All over the place in terms of narration and hard to follow in parts. It had some good moments in it but so much was rushed to try and cram as many characters in it as possible. It wasn't a horrible book, but it was complicated and just clustered feeling. Well that's my opinion for what its worth.

It's Grant Morrison, which means that your criticisms are fair comment. However, it's worth going back to - I find I like 'Final Crisis' more on each re-reading.

Since this has been bumped, I'll mention that 'Comic Heroes' #2 is out today - I wrote the cover feature on Captain America, and if I do say so myself, the magazine is a good read.

  6. Is that point an important enough one to make to warrant funding the BNP?

Best be careful there KOS, you'll end up on the infamous Chris B list of people that he has 'an issue with'.

If he's really lucky, much like you he 'won't give a shit', but will keep desparately seeing what's been posted and reply to it all the time.

  7. I was kind of hoping that the whole "I vote BNP" or "I support the BNP" thing was an act for your own amusement, but you seem to genuinely believe the BNP are the party for you.

I have a question. Really? The BNP, really?

I have a question for you.

After reading what i've posted you have come to the conclusion that I "genuinely believe the BNP are the party for me"?

    Really? Seriously? Really?

    You voted for them.

    It's a pretty big clue.

  8. See, personally, I have an issue with anyone who supports fascism. Sure, they have the right to do it, but they're still either scum or deeply, deeply stupid. I also have issues with anyone who votes in support of a party that aims to treat people differently due to the colour of their skin, their beliefs or their sexuality.

    Good for you.

You'll be glad to know you're not in the 'scum' list.

  9. Harry, I assume you wouldn't have an issue with people voting for parties who would make things difficult for ethnic minorities in Scotland, would you?

I personally don't have an issue with who anyone wants to vote.

It's their right to vote for whichever party they choose, isn't it?

See, personally, I have an issue with anyone who supports fascism. Sure, they have the right to do it, but they're still either scum or deeply, deeply stupid. I also have issues with anyone who votes in support of a party that aims to treat people differently due to the colour of their skin, their beliefs or their sexuality.

  10. So, when you say you 'don't support the BNP', what you actually mean is that you 'do support the BNP, as long as the ethnics they dislike don't live near you'?

    Erm, not quite.

I never mentioned anything about ethnics not living near me, did I? I said that the BNP are a non-entity up here in Scotland.

    Scotland = near you.

    England = not near you.

The number of ethnic minorities who could be potentially damaged by the BNP gaining power in Scotland = nonexistant.

The number of ethnic minorities who could be potentially damaged by the BNP gaining power in England = really quite high.

I can put it on flashcards or something.

  11. Ah, so your whole 'support for the BNP' thing means that 'if it doesn't affect you, it doesn't count'?

    Close.

It's more along the lines of 'if it doesn't affect me, plus it causes any kind of unrest with regards to the EU, then it's all dandy'.

So, when you say you 'don't support the BNP', what you actually mean is that you 'do support the BNP, as long as the ethnics they dislike don't live near you'?

  12. Much like the ethnic minorities who see joining the BNP as a way to cause trouble from within, it's a means to an end.

Or is it as black & white in that instance as well? They've joined the party, therefore they must be party supporters.

    Well, that's a strawman and a half.

Someone who joins a party in order to try and influence the direction of the party is obviously more of a grey area. If they vote for them as well, then they're just idiots. However, someone who joins them with the intention of trying to damage what the BNP would perceive as their aims, I would see as being misguided, but I can see the point.

However, that's nothing like what you're doing.

Unless you can explain how your voting for them will somehow achieve the same aim of trying to change them, I don't see the link. All you're doing is supporting them by voting for them. You're not doing anything negative to them. If you've actually got some cunning plan, please let us in on it.

Unless you're linking ethnic minorities trying to bring down the BNP to the BNP trying to bring down the European Union. But that would be a very stupid link to try and make.

  13. While I appreciate you're clarifying what was said, you were absolutely making a statement by voting for the BNP. Anyone who votes for them is making a statement, which is that they support them.

Whilst I appreciate your opinion, it doesn't really matter to me.

I'm sorry, but you appear to be confusing 'opinions' with 'facts'. Nothing I said there was an opionion. You voted BNP. You made a statement by doing so, whether you intended to make that statement or not. If you vote for them again, you will confirm that statement.

I don't "support" the BNP at all

    Except for voting for them.

Voting for them in an election that shouldn't have even taken place had the Government lived up to it's duties does not mean I support the BNP, despite what you and others may think.

That's what a vote is. A vote of support. Do you really not understand this?

  14. Got the Dorset UKIP News through the door today, phoned for a free info pack and going to stick a sign up in my window in support. They are the only party that clearly stand out as the one I agree with.

I can only assume you saw me referring to Harry's post as 'the stupidest thing I'd ever read' and decided you needed to up your game.

  15. I wasn't making a statement by voting for the BNP, I was making a statement when I posted;

I'm willing to run the risk of them getting a few quid in order to see them over there acting up and generally bringing down the tone.

Like I said, if we get a referendum on the European situation i'll take it seriously. Until then, i'm happy to see the likes of Griffin walking their corridors and spending their money.

While I appreciate you're clarifying what was said, you were absolutely making a statement by voting for the BNP. Anyone who votes for them is making a statement, which is that they support them.

  16. The problem being that they make money from it. And you're against them making money, on the basis of it being imbecilic.

I'm not "against" them making money at all, i'm simply saying that anyone who actually puts their own hard-earned cash into the BNP of their own free will are imbeciles.

The Euro money is already going into the pocket of a politician, isn't it? If not Griffin, then someone from another party.

So, anyone that gives them money is an imbecile, but anyone that helps them get money isn't?

Oh, and the only 'statement' you make by voting for the BNP is the statement that you support the BNP. How you can support them, while supposedly being against them, is one of the stupidest things I've ever seen.
