Sorry? Do you understand how hard it actually is for a single parent to raise a child on benefits? Some of the press and the current government would make you believe it's a piece of piss but it really isn't. I'm sure she probably is a bit of an attention seeker given the rest of what you say she posts but I stil don't envy anyone who is in that position.

The ex is a very well paid mechanic so she is getting very adequate child support payments.

 

How do you know what he earns? She's entitled to 15% of his net salary minus around 7% of that amount for each night he regularly his daughter overnight. I'm sure it helps with clothes and food but hardly enough to be living the high life.

 

Let's say he earns 25k net and keeps his daughter 2 nights per week. That would be about 60 quid odds per week, not an insignificant sum but with the cost of living rising so sharply it's also not extravagant. Obviously he could earn more and have his daughter less, I have no idea. Just worth pointing out that unemployed single mums don't quite have it as easy as you think.

I'm starting to flap. Not being able to work has got me down for a long time, but I've come to accept it for the time being as much as I don't like it. As Dyllan is now 5 my income support is now being stopped and I have to go onto ESA which is a whole new ball park. I'm really worried as even though my consultants have said I can't work until they say so (unstable and rapid progression of the MS and settling into the new treatment etc) the decision of what band of ESA I get is decided by ATOS, or as us disabled call them 'Don't give ATOS'.

My income support worker has said that I should be put onto the middle band, which is for those who cannot work at present but still have access to the help if they want to train for work etc, which is what I need. But as I said, this is all up to ATOS.

Does anyone capture/record their gaming? I'm using Camtasia and it's ok but the screen capture quality isn't that great. Webcam capture is perfect, I've fiddled with all the settings and the screen recording is still coming up very laggy.

Digital intrusion is a hell of a lot harder but from a hacking perspective anything technically can be done with the right resources, and a few people who are willing to possibly lose their jobs for the art of signal intrusion.

I don't know how I would do it, but it's interesting trying to find out how.

I've read a few bits and pieces about that signal intrusion incident and seen the footage a few times, but hadn't seen those clips of the news reports before. I remember reading something about it where the transcript of exactly what was said by the Max Headroom character was picked apart and analyzed. Apparently, there were a few hints and cryptic clues in there that seemed to be aimed at the higher ups in the TV stations that were attacked, which maybe hinted that the perpetrators could have been disgruntled former employees. Still, amazing that they were never found and punished for a stunt of such bare faced cheek.

 

I'm surprised no one has claimed responsibility for it with this amount of time having lapsed since it took place actually. Even by fakers craving the notoriety. You'd think they would have liked their motives more clearly understood too, unless they really did just do it for a laugh...
