Judging by his comments, FelatioLips prefers biscuits over chocolate, which makes the whole ranking and tourney biased IMOH. He's even got the green triangle at 9, and refers to the Malteaser as overrated! As bent and as fair as a North Korean election.
Youâve redeemed this thread, and @mim731Â comments below about Fuse & Dream have hit a nerve. Both absolutely brilliant additions to Heroes that are sorely missed.
Iâd like a box of Chocolate rejects this Christmas.Â

As somebody once said, âThat was niceâ.
It was pleasant craic, count me in again for the next one. As we all said, it felt very natural and canny. Iâve managed to capture the true grey scale essence of the North East, in the top right square there. Sunniest day weâve had in months, and itâs still grey.

YouTube have turned one of my old videos to adult only. It was a basic draw to determine the winner of a comp, for a private group of people, who donated to his just giving page when he passed away. The video was a very basic ârandom drawâ to show proof it had been done fairly. No opinions, nothing of general discussion, a boring draw. In fact, I believe it was set to private (view with link only) at the time.
However, it has the name Kamala in the title.
After asking around for a possible reason, Itâs assumed itâs because of Kamala Harris the politician, and as most political videos are turned to adult only, and youtube are so broken they canât tell the difference between these two people, or their review system clearly doesnât actually review anything.

One of my best mates lost his Mum to Covid yesterday and his Dadâs in a really bad way with it (and has all but thrown the towel in since his missus passed).
She was only 63 and got the positive test last Wednesday. Admitted to hospital on Thursday after feeling really bad but was sat up talking on Friday on a bit of oxygen rather than any kind of ventilator. Everyone assumed she would be fine but late Sunday, her two lads were told sheâd taken a nosedive and was being placed on end of life care. They werenât allowed to visit at that time.
She made it through the night so both of them were allowed to go in and see her, but were given the task of deciding whether to turn the oxygen off as her organs were starting to fail.Â
Spoke to him shortly after she passed away and he was in bits; not just losing his Mum so suddenly, but having to pass her a phone so her husband of 43 years could say goodbye on a FaceTime call, as he was too unwell to do it in person. She did the same with my nephew - whoâs seven - so itâs absolutely fucking floored him, seeing that on top of her take her last breath.Just been with my Ma whoâs really cut up as they were only with Pauline a week and a bit ago (my mateâs brother is married to my sister, so they were close). They were talking about how her husband was retiring next month so they could spend a long retirement together, and now theyâre having to decide who can go to the funeral and who misses out. Five days and their lives have been ripped apart.
I know there are plenty of people whoâve got similar experiences but honestly, hearing my mate completely break down on the phone after going through that has bothered all of us. Thatâs going to haunt him and his brother forever and he canât even grieve properly as his Dadâs still on the ropes.Â
This thing is fucking ruthless when it gets a grip.
This made me well up Frankie. So sorry for all concerned.Â

I feel the need to promote this North East based brewery, firstly because theyâre good mates, secondly because their beers are bloody brilliant (very well brewed, consistent and tasty) and thirdly because their approach to inclusivity is excellent.
Hops & Dots Brewery
One of the two brewers and owners (John) has worked in specialist adult education for a long time, specifically with visually impaired people. He then became a specialist in Braille, becoming one of a very few teachers of Braille in the country.Â
Braille is the part of the reason behind the name âhops & dotsâ and they also add a Braille sticker on their cans so visually impaired folks who can read Braille can read what theyâre buying, which I think is absolutely amazing.Anyway, theyâve been consistently knocking out bangers, and I swear thatâs not just a biased opinion.Â
Class range for all tastes in cans, bottles and mini kegs:Oat Milk Brownie Stout. Â
Lockdown Lager.Â
Sim Specs NE-IPA.Â
Fat Fingers Wheat Ale. Â
Speadboat West Coast Pale. Â
And loads of other small batch stuff in their modified digits line.Again, I honestly think theyâre one of the best micro breweries in the North of England right now. Iâm defo taking the opportunity to promote a pals business giving the circumstances too, but I promise, itâs quality stuff. If you spot them in the wild, Iâd advise you check them out, or pop by their site next weekend as itâll have new stock and new beers added.
This is bloody wonderful BTW.

Thatâs review alone has made me want to check this out, loads of carrot dangling. I really fancy watching it now.

The only fair thing to come out of that was his brother putting in a shift for a Paddi Power advert and getting a nice pay day from it, while poking fun at Ryan being a shit, untrustworthy brother.

Iâd say itâs weaker than Load, but itâs still fine for what it is. How anyone could say theyâd sold out after The Black Album had already had half a decade of mainstream success, Christ even ...And Justice For All charted at #6 on the Billboard 200 and was on the chart for 83 weeks (until it was beaten by the first McMahon v Austin), just shows what a bunch of narrow-minded fuckwits metal fans can be.
Its been said on here many times before, as recently as the Deftones talk a couple of months, but fans often canât see past what the band were when they first got into them, when in reality the band is 15 years older than they were and donât necessarily have the same outlook on things that they once did.
Its this tribal/gatekeeping mentality that a lot of fans have. I got into Metallica around the time of Reload too, that was my starting point, so listening to the older stuff was like discovering an entirely different band, but I liked both. Itâs fine to like different eras of a band.
Itâs a very different sound to the early stuff. Ride the Lightening was fast as fuck with lots of fuzz, and as I say, I was a big fan of that Metallica era, I found them around 92-93âish and loved everything they did.Â
I did understand the point that some fans were saying, that it was very different, but the idea that it was shit just didnât sit well.Â
I think the late 90âs, found out a way to market metal to the masses in an acceptable way, through games and movie franchises.I wonder if the new Metallica sound had been the soundtrack for a cult/underground movie, rather than a mainstream cheese action flick, would those fans have been as vocal about their displeasure?Â
In other words, did they dislike the sound as much as they claim because it was a different sounding Metallica, or did they dislike it because generic Kevin who works with them in Asda had just been to seen MI:2 and was humming Metallica tunes along with Tori Amos?Â
Probs a bit of both, bet I bet the latter had much more to do with it than theyâd admit. -

Iâve just listened to Metallica - Reload for the first time in around 20 years. It was the first album I bought on release day in the U.K.Â
I remember it getting loads of stick from older metal friends, âsell outs, biker ballads, lost their metalâ etc, and although I was a massive fan of Kill Em All, etc, I thought Reload was a tremendous album, but pretended it was bad at the time to fit in with the cool, older nerds.
Itâs still a fucking mint album.

See it a lot with hostile architecture - governments paying to have ugly shit installed to stop the homeless sleeping there. But put that money into homeless programs? Nah.
Gets even worse man, I remember when Iceland staff spoke out a few years ago, saying that theyâd been instructed by management to purposely spoil out of date food in the biffa bins, to stop people digging for food. Some apparently told to pour bleach over food. Thatâs predetermined ABH at the very least isnât it?
I was in shock at the time, but Iâve been told by people that theyâve witnessed it still happening (not sure which shops).Imagine bring that fucking evil? Itâs bad enough adding horrible metal bumps to potential seating areas, but purposely poisoning food with bleach is absolutely insane.

This post absolutely highlights why just giving someone a roof over their head will not end homelessness. In an old job, I used to run a money skills workshop with a homeless charity which dispelled myths around having a bank account. This stuff should be on the curriculum.Â
I didnât realise you did that, but youâve nailed it. My team is called Progression and Engagement Team. We run a wood workshop, music production sessions, arts & crafts and other basic enrichment stuff such as cook & chat sessions (we invite them in to cook with us and have a roast dinner), also a video games club. Itâs all just a way to spark up engagement, get them chatting. That then leads on to employability sessions, we put them through training and pay for CSCS cards for example.Â
I have to apply for funding for every project but itâs so critical as Iâm sure youâre aware.ÂAnyway, sorry, unintentionally taken this off topic a bit, but yup, putting a roof over a persons head is pointless unless you assist them with the journey of understanding what it takes to keep the roof over their head. That is absolutely lost on Tory ethics.
You canât force a square to fit a circle, and if it doesnât fit, itâs the squares fault in the eyes of Tory. They arenât interested in helping a square to reshape, and donât even think about providing a square hole in the first place. Meh.

Yep. My stock answer to this is âSure. Once you put one of those homeless veterans that you bang on about constantly up in your spare roomâ
The way these fuckers talk gives the impression that they ask to see a passport and a CV before giving a homeless person anything.Â
Indeed. The vast majority of homeless people I work with, approx 85%, have addictions or substance dependencies, hence why we run a needle exchange in our drop in/health centre. Most of those also have criminal records associated with struggling on the streets. I imagine they arenât deemed real homeless by the Britain first lot though, even though almost 100% are classed as white British.Â
These homeless arenât fluffy enough, or not all served in the armed forces etc. There will always be a caveat as to what meets their standards for who truly needs support. -

And of course, what a surprise that people who think we should help our own before helping out foreigners arenât keen on helping our own after all.Â
Before I fucked FB off, I had a random habit of finding posts/threads, knowing there were going to be âlook after our ownâ type posts. I found plenty and attempted convo around 20-30 times, around the time of the Banksy boat.Â
The discussion would usually be along the lines of:Them: âSend them back, we need to focus on our own, thereâs no room, put them up in your own house, we have too many British homeless people to as it is.â
Me: âI work for a homeless organisation/rehousing association, and you are correct in that we do have too many British homeless people. Do you want me to send you details about how you can directly support British homeless people.â
It obviously goes without saying that there wasnât one response from the intended recipients, but I did receive 3 messages from people who are sympathetic to those on the boats, as well as those on our streets, regardless of background or place of origin. All 3 of those people now volunteer at some of our food banks and drop in centres.Â
Shock horror, those who show empathy to the plight of âanyone in needâ are more likely to actually help people in need.Â
Whereas those who describe âBritish homelessnessâ as British people who are homeless, rather than homelessness in Britain, tend use it as a point to try and justify their racism, and are more likely to be bellends who arenât interested in helping people in need.ÂSaying that, itâs a shame a Britain first type didnât respond, Iâd have been up for them getting involved. It might have given them some perspective of homelessness and opened their eyes a bit. Although, the silence in their response to me might have been the catalyst for the 3 liberal minded folk to get involved. Silver linings where we can find them I suppose.

Howâs it going.
Iâve barely been posting much online as of late, I had one of those hating the internet phases. Sacked Twitter and FB off and stepped away from all pod/events stuff. Canât be bothered anymore.Â
Itâs nice to be able to just focus on my job and music, itâs a complete weight off.
I also started to get back in to my art stuff again, itâs been years, I was never that talented, but itâs just nice to do, stress free, no hassle. Iâve just been doing quick pen sketches and some basic acrylic pours in the house with my wife, itâs been really lovely to be honest. I might try and introduce it as a session at work, weâll see. Anyway, I thought Iâd pop a couple of them up in here. CheersÂI turned the above in to a clock and itâs amazing how the colours dry much differently.Â

@Kaz Hayashi that's a really sweet track. Feel like that needs to be listened to in a car with the top down going along at high speed.
Appreciate it man. The craic is, the album is ready to release but weâre just trying to build a bit of a following with the first single there. So by all means if you fancy it, we appreciate people joining our Facebook page etc đ
The album is in keeping with that single so nearly all tracks have a similar kinda vibe.
