Yeah, I knew the good thing was still relevant, but I think stricter guidelines we’re being considered around 2012 or so (I think).

The toy ad ban was so memorable to me. It was more a case of the sudden change. Every advert on Cartoon Network (or whichever I had on) was basically the TV equivalent of the last chapter of an Argos catalogue. NERF, Action Man and everything in between, but then all of a sudden fuck all, and as you say, we ended up with home & insurance adverts. I swear it’s the reason my dad ended up with a shit load of carriage clocks & Parker pens. 

I just can’t seem to find any info about it happening. I haven’t looked that hard in fairness, other than a few basic searches, but I assumed that would be enough.

I’m possibly having a Mandela Effect moment (didn’t want to bump that thread from 4 years ago).

I’m almost certain I remember a law, or British a Broadcasting policy passing in late 90’s/early 00’s that prevented kids toy & food adverts playing before the watershed. It was deemed unethical to play such adverts during kids TV broadcast (channels such as Nickelodeon & CN). Obviously that’s completely out of the window now.

So I can’t find any info about the ban, and the friends I have who might know, can’t remember it. So TIL it possibly didn’t happen. 
Can anyone remember the Bam and help me to prove that my TIL is a lie? I’m trying to find out more specifically when the law changed again, allowing such adverts to broadcast.

Not trying to steer this in to general Public Information vids, but ‘Apaches‘ (on the farm) is the one that still causes nightmares. There’s a compilation vid on YouTube that’s called “all the deaths” in relation to Apaches. It’s always been grim, but after becoming a dad, it makes me physically shudder in fear.

Michael Scott from the U.S office. Following the last episode of the Office, 10 years after it had aired and people already oblivious as to who he is, but due to his lack of self awareness, he acts exactly how you expect he would. Maybe some occasional cameos from old cast too.

Easily done man. We had a narrow escape compared to you though. He was a student and had a final warning about attendance and submission dates, I had a written warning from work. I phoned my boss on the Monday morning, just as we had just reached the January transfer market in season 3. I put on a fake cough, pulled the inevitable sickie and then text my house mate...
“I’m staying home, I’m staying home, I’m staying, champ mans turning on”.... in the style of 3 Lions. But I sent it to my boss instead.

A few years back, one of my mates moved in to my house and rented a room off us for about 6 months.

That 6 months basically consisted of Rheinbacher, Clancy's spicy peanuts and Champ Manager 98/99 on a daily basis. It was the best 2 stone I ever put on.

Yeah that came to mind just now actually mate. I also think some kind of chorizo dish could possibly work too.

I’ve just made this jalapeño corn bread. With onions, garlic, feta, cumin, Cajun pepper & sour cream. A friend sent me the recipe last night. Can’t wait to eat it, but not sure what to have with it. 
Maybe some Texas/BBQ style pit beans and smoked sausages, that would probs go well.

2 weeks later, WWE are planning to launch a TV show in which a team of 2 people go looking for rare, retro WWE merchandise. Those 2 people being HHH & Steph. It surely has to be a piss take 🤣

Happy Shopper have decided to change their entire approach and formula to making Cheese Puffs. I finished off the remaining 4 bags from the corner shop last week. Delightful, as ever. However, I went in today to pick up the essentials including the typical 4 bags of Cheese Puffs. I pulled apart the top of the first bag and to my horror, the change was noticeable before I’d even finished opening them. I ate them all to make sure. I’ve now eaten 3 of the 4 bags to confirm my nightmare and well, it clearly wasn’t a random rogue bag. They have properly changed. 

Distraught is an understatement. I’ll be writing a strongly worded letter to Happy Shit heads up on completion of the 4th bag. The bastards.

We’re back in business. Yup, after what can only be described as a quality sabbatical, Happy Shopper Cheese Puffs have been restored to their former glory. Back to oversized, over flavoured and bloody wonderful. I’m absolutely taking credit for this.

Just to share the fuck out of this. Keep in mind this is the prototype, so still 1 or 2 slight bits to look at (size of pupils, although saying that it’s probably accurate for most nights)... it’s mint.

Double upload rather than separate posts. I really am trying to resist posting each episode of the pod on here to avoid overkill. We’re uploading 6-7 episodes a week at the moment and expect to do so for some time to come. I’ll cherry pick what to post, but please feel free to check the channel out.
