Wouldn't be surprised if Kenny wins that it's announced a couple of days after that Moxley is defending the IWGP US title at the Tokyo Dome.
Also, after the "gentleman's challenge" it wouldn't be the biggest shock if Omega uses a weapon on the road to victory.
-
Loved the Omega/Moxley stuff from Omega doing the "my dad can beat your dad up" stuff to Kingston putting it in Mox's head that it might be Omega that organised the beat down last week and Mox listening to his former friend who he still wants to be friends with, to the stuff with the silhouette to the moment when Mox put the belt on the floor and Omega put his hand on it.
I didn't mind the Cody/Taz stuff. Felt like Taz was using the WWE troupes to say to Cody "you're more like them lot in New York than you want to be" trying to get under his skin which worked with Cody mentioning his son.
Of course Taz named his son Hook
Abadon being back makes me so happy. Not sure licking the title belt is the smartest idea in 2020 though
Miro is the dictionary definition of the word "meh"

As was Godwins and Kane showing up in their Halloween costumes of themselves when everyone else just got the smart casual memo.
I'm guessing it was to prevent the audience asking "why are Southern Justice here?"
Guessing this is the right place to talk Survivor Series as a whole?
Put my thoughts into a spoilers box in case
SpoilerCan we have a different way of ending Battle Royales please. Also did The Miz really need to win
Booking RAW to win the mens Survivor Series match via clean sweep when Smackdown has the bigger audience and the bigger network and you need to build up contenders for Roman was.... interesting
The women's elimination match was the worst booked match ever. Lana being the sole survivor was the obvious and smart play after the past month of RAW but the they got to it was just garbage. Belair looked like a geek being choked out and Bazler being dq'd and to have Lana win via crying on the steps (which I'm sure is punishment for her tearful monologue on Chronicle) was just bad. Is it really that hard to have Lana fight the odds, 2 vs 1 to win the match for RAW and get some redemption. Bayley was an afterthought despite being the best thing in the women's division in the Performance Center era. The person who eliminates Bayley is pinned quickly after.
Liked the tag match and the Roman/Drew match though

1980s All Japan themes are massively underrated
Riki Choshu's theme is just perfect

My guess is it's Page, trying to help out Omega and get back in with him and the Bucks.
If it is Page, that'll be the stupidest booking decision in 2020 and that's something in a field including Evil winning the IWGP Title, Retribution and the Tucker heel turn

Finally got round to listening to Booking the Territory and I have a new candidate for worst wrestling podcast.
Gave up when one of the trio spent a couple of minutes comparing various sex acts. The whole show just stinks of "look at me, I say edgy things" which is all well and good, but they aren't even funny when they are being controversial.

That is true, however he does have a fair amount of sway with his write ups. I don't have much to say on the Big Daddy issue one way or the other, but his write up of Kent Walton when he was on the ballot a while back was absolutely piss-poor and misleading. He dismissed him as a part time pornographer, which turned out to mean he was an exec producer on some British sex comedies.
Well, it didn't work because Kent got voted in

The biggest problem with Brandi is Brandi, she gets bored halfway through a story and just moves on. And Cody's too doe eyed to tell her no.
Also, her obsession with being a heel. Just because you want to be a heel doesn't mean you should be ome

His stubborn attitude when it comes to Big Daddy may seem trivial, but if you look at his social media feed he outright dismisses people who he should realise would be in a position to know better than he would about Daddy's contribution to British wrestling.
Why does that matter? Well, if he's unwilling to believe external credible sources about Big Daddy you really have to question his interpretation of other historical events and figures. Do his biases mean he's giving other historical wrestlers more or less credit than they are due?
It comes up every year because Allan Cheapshot has a hissy fit on twitter every time Big Daddy doesn't get into the Observer HOF.
Meltz has mentioned on various occasions that Daddy gets more support in voting from outside the UK than in the UK
If you put Daddy into the HOF you might as well put Roman Reigns while you're at it
Also, show me an "historian" who says he is without bias and he's a liar

He’s now saying that Biggy Daddy wasn’t as big as El Santo in a conversation that previously never featured El Santo or alluded to him in any way
To be fair Simon's tweet was the most absurd tweet this week and that includes anything Trump has written and the opinions that Phil Taylor is Britain's greatest sportsman

I had to admit, I think Man Called Sting is a bit shit. And Steinerized.
Stings pre-Slam Jam theme is gold and then they ruined it and its no coincidence that he was average until late 96
I would post the theme on here but I'm rubbish at linking stuff from YouTube onto here

Feinsteins worse moment was when he asked Nick Patrick about the slow fast count at Starrcade 97, Patrick said he didn't know what he was talking about, and Feinstein said he didn't know either, he was just reading from a list of questions people had posted on Facebook.
I dread to think of the age group involved in the questions

Not sure if it's appropriate for this thread but as someone who watches only watches Smackdown in clips on YouTube. Did they mention Sasha as a cast member on The Mandalorian on the show. Saw on twitter that she was credited under her real name.

I agree with all that, who knows how long Twitch will be around? It could be dead in a year or so, probably not or something else will take it's place.
There were people that though Netflix was going to be a failure and that Blockbuster would see them off. How did that work out.
I think Twitch will be around in a year.

Is Zelina any good in the ring? She was easily the second best non wrestling personality in WWE behind Heyman so I don't understand the need to hide her strengths. If she comes to AEW have her be the manager of Scorpio Sky and turn him heel in the process or Alastair Black if he ends up being released
Had timing been more fortunate, she would have been perfect as Shaq's mouthpiece for this feud with Cody

This weeks NXT was so bad it made me want to commit atrocious crimes.
Of all the guys you could give a shine to be having the upset NA title win they pick the skinny guy for the sake of a sight gag. Somewhere Vince was yelling "that's such good shit pal"
Why is Thatcher working with the serial killer?
What was the stuff with Gonzalez and Boa about
They're going to ruin Toni Storm aren't they.
The only good thing about the show was Pat McAfee and the British Invasion.
I want NXT back please

When Jade turned up, I thought they were going to do a is Cody cheating on Brandi storyline which tbh sounds more interesting than a Cody/Shaq match.
The Inner Circle/MJF stuff is only behind Roman as the best thing in wrestling right now.
Fenix/Penta was awesome. Splitting is the best thing they can do. Penta can be a vicious heel and Fenix can do the cool face stuff.
Not the best show but a million times better than that awful NXT show

Had the Mandy and Dana saving Lana from being put through the announce table spot happened in front of a real audience, they would have been booed out of the building, right?
-
Looks like they will be taking their time with the game which can only be a good thing. The Shida model looked great, the Kenny one not so much but I trust that they will work all the creases out and give us something really good.
Genuinely surprised not to see Brandon Cutler out there in his Steve Jobs outfit announcing a board game. AEW could probably make some money on a AEW themed D&D type game

Yeah of course but at times it doesn't live up to the hype, also if everything is super hyped and special then nothing stands out.
WWE normally kick it up a notch in Mania season but it wouldn't have the same impact if every event is that way.
And that why WWE ratings are at a all time low and wrestling mainstream relevance wise is currently the coldest its ever beem

So, they had Ibushi lose the briefcase to Jay White and then Naito gives him a title shot anyway as a thanks for equalling the odds in the EVIL match. I think Gedo has lost his mojo

Omega/Page was a barrel of fun. Don Callis doing commentary was a very pleasant surprise. I'm here for a AEW/Impact working relationship.
John Silver is awesome. Another success story from Dark Order.
Had Cody/Orange not gone the time limit, that would have been perfect for the Darby/Cody match. It just felt like it was a match too soon in their rivalry for Darby to win.
Right woman won the women's title match. Now can Britt win the title and be the female ace of AEW?
Bucks/FTR was a thing of beauty. From Matt's selling to Dax's hand injury and the selling of it to the NXT callbacks from FTR to the finish. If you didn't like this, then I can't help you.
Elite Deletion was everything you expected it to be. If you like this stuff you'd love it, if you hate it you'd hate it. I like this stuff.
MJF/Jericho was what you expected also. I popped for MJF yelling "oh shit" during the backdrop. The next few months before MJF and the Circle turn on Jericho and the actual turn while be fun for sure.
Kingston/Moxley was good for what the stipulation was. Can only remember two great I Quit matches (Magnum/Tully and Flair/Funk) before it became an excuse for John Cena to reanact torture porn movies. To be a fly in the Moxley household when Mox gets back home from Jacksonville though
It was great in all and it achieved its goal. Paid off stories and has got me for the future with the Inner Circle and Omega/Mox with curiosity to how Kingston copes with losing and the Elite storyline which looks far from over.

The serial killer is just terrible. Loving Thatcher in NXT though. His gimmick of the sadistic teacher is awesome. His matches are an acquired taste perhaps but as long as he's torturing people in Thatch as Thatch can, I'm in on Thatch.
Now, all they need to do is not have him losing by submission to anyone for ages and we'll be fine
*Checks NXT results* Oh 🤦♂️
