Just looked at the wiki page for the Rumble and noticed there's only 13 confirmed entrants in the womens match? I assume Torrie Wilson and the other usual faces will be lacing up their boots again

I forgot that people get bodyslammed on Emmerdale, my bad.
Don't worry about it pal, the sarcasm clearly went over your head

She literally just had a baby.Â

Not really literally, it was almost 2 months ago.  If she was working on Emmerdale she'd have returned to work by now. They're all actors at the end of the day.Â
A 2 minute spot in the Rumble followed by a handful of appearances on Raw to build her storyline until WrestleMania. Job's a good'un

Surely Becky Lynch is going to make an appearance in the Rumble match as a big return? Is Ronda still on the payroll?Â
-
It would be funny as fuck if Punk did return for one more match, and he still doesn't get that main event spot on either night at Mania this year.

Great news, now we just have to wait for an air date    https://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/2021/series-six-inside-number-9-cast

Can't beat a bit of Seabrook fish and chip crisps... mind you Seabrook are a very underrated crisp brand.Â
Are Seabrook underrated though? Seems like they've been up there with the big guns for a while now.

I still think one of the best unexpected moments during a Rumble match was when Maven eliminated The Undertaker, you just never saw it coming.
-
The mind boggles how anyone can sit through this shite live, especially in the UK till 4am. And yet you still see loads of daft hardcore fans happily tweeting during all 3 miserable hours of it. Can't remember the last time I watched a full episode of Raw or Smackdown
-
I remember in 96 when Triple H and Henry Godwinn had a match on the Free For All and the winner got the number 30 spot while the loser had to start the Rumble match.
EDITÂ My mistake, it was Duke the Dumpster not Henry GodwinnÂ

You've missed my point. If someone who hasn't watched wrestling since the end of WCW jumps onto Peacock one afternoon and a thing pops up saying "relive the Monday night wars" then maybe they will do now it's there at their fingertips. It could even lead them to have a look at some modern stuff. There will be another 20 odd million Peacock subscribers who will soon have access to the WWE network, you have to think there are more than a few lapsed fans among them who might not mind binging some older stuff, even if they think the modern stuff is rubbish.Â
Yeah I thought you meant the new programming. Yeah now that those Peacock subscribers have access to all of that wrestling shizzle at no extra cost to them it's a bonus if they are a lapsed fan.

It's good for WWE over there as it could get some more eyes on some of their product. Maybe some subscribers who fell out of wresling in the last couplecof years or decades will get some nostalgia for the old attitude era or Monday night wars stuff, or even older.Â
Also if TV ratings keep dropping maybe they can stick Raw & Smackdown on there instead of on TV so people can watch it at their convenience. Keep putting it out "live" or even actually live when people are back in arenas, but it goes straight onto the streaming platform.Â
WWE is still easily accessible in the US as Fox is network TV, plus I believe the USA Network is available via their basic cable package over there, a bit like Sky One over here.

Tom Davis is 6'7" and in his 40s, so a future WWE headliner in the making.
Plus they've always had a hard on for anyone with a celebrity status

Was just catching up on the latest episode of The Last Leg earlier and Tom Davis was banging on about having a tryout on NXT UK. What's that all about? Apparently Shawn Michaels wants to bring him into the WWE

It wasn't too long ago when they tried to set up a deal with Amazon. Sounded like they wanted to dump all of their live PPVs on Prime. Of course they assumed Amazon were gonna throw shit loads of money at them like Fox. I still feel sorry for BT the poor fuckers, they couldn't have purchased the rights to WWE at a worse time. You just know there's a lack of interest with WWE programming when Sky didn't even put up a fight for it.

This will huff the fans in the UK (not that it takes much), they'll be crying about the yanks getting the Network for a fiver while we still have to pay a tenner. Infact I still remember some of them moaning on twitter when it finally launched in the UK that they were still paying 2 quid more because of the difference to the dollar at the time.Â

Survivor Series 94 was live and so was Royal Rumble 95, Wrestlemania 11, KOR 95 and Survivor Series 95. Everything remained live till Survivor Series 96
Yep, Survivor Series 96 and Royal Rumble 97 were not live. Between September 96 and February 97 Sky went through a weird phase when all WWF programming was 2 weeks behind the US for some reason.Â

Caught the episode where they were on a train with the actor from the Terminator series.Â
Cringe.Â
Well yeah it was meant to be cringe, that's the way geeks tend to approach celebs. We've all heard the about stalking shit that some of the wrestling fans get up to when they find out which hotel the WWE roster stays at during their UK tours. Could you imagine if some of those fuckers bumped into Alexa Bliss on a train?Â
-
In a similar vein, most people used to shit on The Big Bang Theory because it ripped the piss out of nerds. In most cases you only had to click on the haters profiles on twitter and you'd see that they were gamers and geeks who were clearly offended. Most probably hadn't even watched an episode. At the end of the day the show ran for 12 seasons, they were obviously doing something right.

Shame there's no crowd for the Rumble matches, hearing the pop when the favourites and surprise entrants come out was part of the appeal. Can't be arsed with this fake piped in noise shite

Back in the day when they couldn't find a domino board, the lads used to have a wager on the side by counting the blackheads on Taker's nose

They took a hit when they booked the Alamodome according to Cornette. Half of the stadium was made up of comps. Business still wasn't booming in early 97.
