The 'newz' sites are reporting that Charlotte Flair is being removed from all WrestleMania advertising. Interesting

And they have been stockpiling talent for years; it's barely possible to have had a career of any note in the US, be over 30 and not be a "WWE guy" at this point.
Fair point. Just seems like new companies still rely on WWE faces to get them talked about.
-
Surely Lesnar will be added to the card within a week or two. At the moment it looks like having actual fans in attendance will be the highlight of the show.
-
I don't watch AEW but it seems like they're stockpiling the ex WWE talent. They're probably a couple of signings away from bringing Hogan in
-
Just noticed that Bob Martin actually got a 2nd series. Must've been part of their ITV contracts as an entertainer back then. Similar to Brian Conley's Time After Time which also got 2 series even though it was a flop.

Appararently it's going to be streamed live again. This years ceremony is fixing to be around 7 hours long, the 2018 Hall of Fame lasted 4hrs 30mins

Was Roddy Piper's "you fucking shit!" when Bischoff turned on him the first time..the first time some good old real profanity was used?. It is on the Bischoff segment of the Network now. Happened in November 1996.
Well it was Piper so it was probably ad libbed. Pretty sure he once shouted "bastard" near the camera when he got eliminated at Survivor Series '91.

Was it the Honky Tonk Man that said he'd finally took them up on their offer because the money was decent for the sake of a 20 minute speech. Makes you wonder how many of them went in for the honur or the money.

When wrestlers and fans keep pushing for a certain talent to be inducted into the HoF on social media it makes it look like they were forced into choosing them. A bit like when Davey Boy was finally announced for the HoF after his daughter and others campaigned on twitter for years about it, in the end it was like Vince finally gave in. We all know that guys like Davey and Lex should've been inducted years ago.

As I understand it, this is being viewed as essentially a test event for doing a PPV type event on Peacock so as not to smooth out any possible cock ups with the tech before Mania. So it's fully possible they don't give a shit about the quality of the show, unfortunatelyÂ
Don't see why there would be any fuck ups with their stream on Peacock, it has gained over 33 million subscibers within a year. Anyway It'll be the same live feed that's going out on the WWE Network to other countries such as the UK.

Quite surprising. Well deserved but thought WWE might ignore him for a bit after his AEW involvement. They've been more childish.
If anyone should be sour it's Eric. They fucked him over on that Smackdown deal.
-
Good news about Eric, better late than never. Surely just a matter of time before Heyman gets inducted too.
-
For me it would've been anything that involved Ronda Rousey. She took to wrestling like a duck to water.

58. I forgot about names like Dean Douglas that held the title for all of an hour during a PPV. For some reason I thought that Faarooq had won the IC championship at one time.

I don't think a show is particularly intrusive four weeks before WrestleMania if done right. St. Valentine's Day Massacre and most of the No Way Outs were always fine. Fastlane's just so generic, though. I know it's all about the creative going into the show and not the name and branding of it, but you just know it's usually going to be a whole load of nothing. I don't think it works as an identity. They should go with something else next year. Just call it 'The Road to WrestleMania' if you really want to shoehorn the point home. I know this stuff barely matters, but the name falls into that 2009 on pit of despair to me next to shite like Over The Limit, Bragging Rights, The Bash etc.Â
To be fair most of those February PPVs took place about 6 weeks before WrestleMania. But then again in 1999/2000 the storylines were a hell of a lot better anyway. They also had a cracking roster to work with.
-
So they've added Randy Orton V Alexa Bliss to the card. I thought they wanted to move away from violence against women on their shows? Seems to be the kind of match that would've been booked during the Ruthless Aggression Era
-
And it kicked off a Benoit/Angle feud that lasted months.

Can't remember if it was Samu or Fatu who used to make quite the crack noise when they were supposedly kicking someone in the face whilst barefoot. They made a good job of it looking legit at the time.

I think WrestleMania has always been held in March everytime Easter falls on the first Sunday of April. 7th April had been the latest date a WrestleMania had been held until now.
EDIT Just realised that Mania 34 was held on 8th April.
-
They might pull something out of the hat as it's the first PPV to stream on Peacock. Then again I wouldn't hold my breath
-
Apparently they are now going to pre tape the HoF this year. I suppose if they plan on having both classes of 2020/21 rolled into one show then they'll edit the shit out of the speeches to make it a 3 hour show on the Network.
-
Just been reading that Tyson Fury claimed that he was supposed to have a match with McIntyre on a UK PPV last year. Didn't even know that they had plans to do another one of these shows. I assume it would've aired on the Network rather than an exclusive for BT Box Office

I like how David can still talk about current WWE with enthusiasm. Not many of us can be arsed to do that with the product today.

I thought Dynamite dropped on the ITV Hub on Thursday's after it airs in the US?
