What matches are there for Omega in AEW?

I agree with this in a way. The WWE holds way more interesting match ups at the moment for Omega. Bryan / Joe / Rollins / AJ / Orton / Hardy / Rey / Brock. Those could be quite something. Now, obviously the AEW don't have anyone under contract yet, but it would seem to be more of the same.

I don't know if he's worth the trouble to them.

Vince would have him back in a heartbeat. Vince has proven time and time again he gives no shits what you did (unless you're Randy Savage) if you can help business.

Saying that, I don't think Punk would go back to WWE. The AEW thing would be much more of an interest to him I imagine.

  3. White Bear was the high point for me. Utterly nihilistic and grim but amazing all round. I've gone in and out with it really since then and haven't watched all of them, only the ones that interest me.

  4. Ah fair enough. Sorry you were clear, I misread. I get what you mean, he's very specific in what he does.

I hate arena comedy but it would be very intriguing to see what he would do with it. If anything it would be an experiment worth watching.

Stewart Lee can (and largely does) only play in front of his audience.

Lee could play bigger venues but he chooses not to. It works his style better for sure. He recently said he might be interested in the stadium gig as an experiment. Would be interesting certainly.

Anyone watch the Sandler special on Netflix? Its quite enjoyable and he seems to be enjoying himself (I know?!)

I don't think AEW's survival is totally dependant on them signing Omega.

Not totally dependent no, but if they're going to launch big they need the focal point. Omega is that guy. He's also not tarred by ex-WWE stench or anything like that. Obviously it wont destroy them if he didn't sign, but I think he's a very important cog in the machine.

Jericho would be a shrewd signing. Star name and is willing to work and get guys over.

  7. They need Omega for this. He is THE star.

His NJPW contract goes to the end of January I believe. It'll be interesting to see what he does. Smart money is on him going to AEW, but you have to think this is has last chance to go to WWE given his age and style. You would think WWE will come in big for him as well, given the new start up. All in all Kenny Omega should be pretty happy with life at the moment.

  8. Nah. No chance for him in my opinion. He wont get on the ballot. He knows he wont. Its why he throws all that shit despite not coming up with a plan himself. He doesn't need to and never will.

Maybe not, but any party that wants to see success would do well to keep an eye on who's proving popular with the masses. We all know that people should vote for their particular MP and on actual policies, but it's a popularity contest in reality.

Not at all when it comes to him. There are Tory MPs willing to leave the party if he becomes leader. He's toxic in that party.

  10. I think Boris has been thoroughly exposed by now though. The whole 'HE'S A LEDGE MATE! PAXMAN FOR PM' brigade seems to have gone away in regards to him.

  11. Corbyn is going for 'Islington Geography Chic' It works down here in North London. We all take our style tips from Michael Foot and Jarvis Cocker.

Anyway, she fumbles on to a vote which will get voted down. I wouldn't be shocked if she was one of the 117 who voted against her.

  12. In terms of handling a huge moment for the country she's been awful. That's not excusing Dodgy Dave, but this has been an utter failing of leadership at every level. She's about to have the UK crash out with no deal. Let that sink. The ramifications are huge.

Johnson would be that guy in school everyone wanted to hang around wit

He's utterly loathed by a lot of Tory MPs for a number of reasons, not least his disloyalty and self serving attitude. Even at conference he's seen as a pariah. Problem is, among a lot of Tory grass roots he's seen as this leader in waiting.
