  1. No idea who the wrestler is, but I look forward to finding out!

The List Clipboard for £4.99...I might get another haha! I've now been a subscriber for long enough to have just about everything in the 2nd chance store. Might pick up a few random autographs soon though...Might there be a list of available ones? (I know it's a mystery, but I'd like to know the chance of getting one I don't have haha!)

  2. Indeed, I had neglected to review this month's Crate. My apologies, it's been a very chaotic few weeks. And so, without further ado...

POP Figure - Is perhaps the best one so far. Kevin Owens! And it looks fantastic. He's sitting up with Reigns, Warrior, and my 2k16 Steve Austin.
'Follow' t-shirt - Somewhat of a return to the "Oh man, that's an awesome shirt" days of I Love You and The Streak front page t-shirts. A really nice shirt with a cool design.
Exclusive Pin #2 - So this went in a different direction to what I expected (Horsemen/women/Evolution) but that's not a bad thing. One of the things I like most about WrestleCrate is the variety. Looking forward to seeing #3 and #4.
Jimmy Havoc signed print - Fantastic photography. I'm less of an autograph guy, but top names from the UK are cool. With the current surge in British Wrestling awareness, these autographs are awesome to have from the beginning of the boom.
Calling Spots magazine - Not my favourite item. Articles are very long, but when I do get around to reading it, it's always a good read.
PCW DVD - Looks promising. As mentioned before, I'm lacking on time to check out the DVDs sent out in Crates, but there's always a couple at the top of the list. This one joins the top.
Portrait of a Wrestler group print - Love it. Again, top notch photography, and a pretty cool item, considering the surge.
Golden Stars Trading Card - My least favourite item, as I have no idea who this guy is haha! It is one of many though, so I'm looking forward to seeing more.

Top items - POP, shirt, DVD.
Bottom items - Trading Card, Calling Spots magazine.

February's Crate has such amazing potential, with the 4-DVD set (which is incredible, by the way). Looking forward to that one! Thanks Rich and team!

  3. Got a firestick today and installed Nemesis but it's super laggy on the menus, like it's too much for it to handle. Any recommended repos for it?

There are 'Lite' builds, which work well on the FireStick.

If you push/download this file from cloud storage, and install it to your FireStick, you'll have your pick of builds and the app makes it super simple to install or remove them.

  4. As a person with limited time, if I were to sign up to Progress on demand for a month or two, what are the absolutely must-watch matches? I've heard so much about Progress (and obviously it's in the eyes of people due to WWEUKCT), and I've got a DVD or two from WrestleCrate, but never really watched much of it. I'm not one that's able to sit down and watch match after match, so a 'compilation' of sorts of the top matches would be awesome.

    I've got
Zack Gibson vs Flash Morgan Webster (Natural Progression)
ZSJ vs Will Ospreay (Super Strong Style 16 Final)
Jimmy Havoc vs Will Ospreay (Progress title match)
Sumerian Death Squad Open Title Challenge (Progress tag titles)
    ZSJ vs Tommaso Ciampa

What else should I be looking at?

Edit - Just seen this... https://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/4w8von/bestfavorite_progress_matches/

  5.

I suppose the only way TNA can look at it is that every subsciber represents a clear profit. Being a TV company, they probably developed it in-house.

Count me in as one of those who downloaded the app on Amazon Fire but hasn't subscribed yet.

How did you download it on your Amazon Fire? The app doesn't show in the App Store and if you try to do it through Amazon's shopping app it says it's currently unavailable.

Probably downloaded it on a compatible device/a device that shows it in the store, then pushed the app to the FireStick.

  6.

Yeah sorry I thought it was Exodus that has NJPW and ROH stuff but I got it wrong, Watch Wrestling is your best bet for that type of stuff. I have Ultimate Mania and they have a Sport On Demand section which always has wrestling stuff on there, like NJPW and ROH stuff as well as WWE and TNA.

Nice one. I'll have a look at Ultimate Mania.

It's a subscription service, but from what I've seen, it's totally worth it. The sports and movie channels work flawlessly. The on-demand stuff, including WWE, NJPW, etc works flawlessly and is decent quality. Give it a shot, £6 for 7 days. I'm considering putting in for the year.

  7. WatchWrestling has a decent add-on. It's all working. I'm using Ultimate Mania now though, as I'm testing it for a more long term thing. Great streams of recent wrestling, including WrestleKingdom. Fantastic.

  8. Ah, thats pretty cool.

I do like some of the stuff that comes in the WrestleCrates, although I'm not really a big enough fan of *most* of the companies (Like Progress/other UK companies etc) or would have the space for a lot of the other items hah.

Keep up the good work though guys!

I find that most months, I'm pleased. Admittedly, I'm not a huge fan of Progress, but simply because I haven't seen enough of it, I feel.

The month for free will change that

The only downside is the vast array of DVDs that I now own but have little time to watch!

  9. So is Aries done wrestling now and they're nudging him towards commentary do we think? He's certainly too small for the main roster, and yes, I could see him being slotted into the CW division as a 'star' but maybe he sees the desk as a better option at this point. From what he's shown on NXT I think I've probably seen every single variation on the matches he can have over the years, I'm not sure where else he goes.

Isn't he injured? I thought he was only on commentary until he was ready to go, and then he'd join the CW roster?

  10. the more stuff away from the Impact Zone, the better imo. it's just so deflating to watch any rasslin' happen there, I'm sure the Lashley/Galloway etc. main event scene is quite passable stuff. EC3 is a fuckin fantastic talent, also love Rockstar Spud. But scenery matters, and I just cannot be made to give a solitary shit about it in the end. The place used to be hot, excitable and loud, now it's about 30 people, half of which are cosplaying as 2004 Jeff Hardy

As opposed to the 30 people around the ring at Deletion, some of which obviously paid to be there?

  11.

.....but I feel like perhaps the Hardys stuff actually takes away from what could be a good product.

Jesus, no. Just no. Sitting through 10 minutes of "real" TNA is the most soul destroying experience I've ever known. The Hardy stuff has been the only thing keeping TNA even semi relevant for the last year.

This is why I say "could". They've got a not-bad talent pool to work with. They have had decent spells.

  12. Welcome back, Crate fans!

Received my crate this morning, nice and early before Christmas. Love it. It's going to feel like forever until the next one, now, though.

    Thoughts!

Calendar - Nice item! The images used are mostly fantastic, as I've come to expect from Ringside Perspective.

Honky Tonk Man signed print - Really cool addition to a growing collection. Really cool print, too.

The Genius A5 - Not the greatest item, but the 20% off War To Settle The Score is a nice touch. My buddy was showing me said book online a week or so ago. Here's hoping he didn't buy it before getting his WrestleCrate!

Flair Pin Badge - 1 of 4, eh? I'm half-hoping this goes in a Four Horsemen or Evolution direction, as opposed to a Four Horsewomen direction. Not that there would be anything bad about that, I'm just a bigger Horsemen/Evolution fan.

MCW Download - Saw this, and was a little disappointed that it's not a DVD. Then I asked myself "Is this not simply the way we're headed, now?" and I think it's quite cool. Doesn't take up any space on my DVD shelf, and I can carry it with me on journeys. That'll do.

Progress DVD + 1 month free on demand - Had gone back and forth on Progress on Demand. Wasn't sure if I'd watch the shows enough to warrant a monthly sub. I guess now I'll find out. DVD looks like fun too. Devitt vs Havoc could be good.

Jimmy Havoc t-shirt - I love it. The design is great, and it's one of those shirts that doesn't scream "WRESTLING" unless you know. And I like that.

Puroresu hat - I really like it. Again, doesn't scream "WRESTLING", and it's a bit different from the normal t-shirt items.

And finally, The List of Jericho clipboard. I don't think I need to tell Rich how pumped I am for that item! But for everyone else, it's my favourite of this Crate. Rich, you're an absolute legend.

Thanks to Rich and the Crate team. Merry Christmas!

  13. It's entirely possible that the same could be said for me then.

I caught a bit of TNA a while back, to see what all the hype was about regarding the Hardys and the 'Delete' stuff. Jeff Hardy was being thrown around and behind stuff, emerging as a different character each time, and whatnot. It threw me. I'm not against 'magic' or whatever being used in wrestling (I'm a huge Lucha Underground fan...), but I feel like perhaps the Hardys stuff actually takes away from what could be a good product. And the Hardys are the perfect example. You've got one of the greatest, most famous tag teams of all time, and they're wasted on shooting fireworks at each other, silly gimmick promos, character changes and wackiness that's out of place on the show, and special effects. If TNA was all about that, I'd buy into it, but you throw in a random women's match for next to no reason, and a Heavyweight Title match that, due to being bored and skipping through the show, I don't know who won, or if it's even over yet. For all I know, they're still fighting around Matt Hardy's house.

All that being said, Matt Hardy has done a great job of getting himself over. He's clearly doing whatever he wants, and is outshining Jeff for once. I wonder whose idea it was to have a show at his home. Or to have his son have a match? Or to announce his new baby-on-the-way on the show? Good on Matt for making himself relevant.

  14. That's the same set up as I have other then Trakt, what is Trakt again, never heard of it up until recently.

I just signed up to Trakt and linked it to my Exodus. Wouldn't mind a little tips and tricks guide, if anyone has any pointers?

  15. I've got TVaddons, but what's the best add ons for Sport and also wrestling, Ive tried one for wrestling but nothing works.

I use Watch Wrestling. Never have a problem with it. I believe it's in the Fusion repo

  16. If anyone likes a decent Kodi Build then try one called Wizardflix, it's a really good build that you can integrate Exodus, Tapp On TV guide etc and it is free, just google how to install Wizardflix as there is plenty of guides on how to do it.

I use the Pulse Lite build. In terms of installing builds, there are Android and Windows apps to do it all for you, actually. Search the app stores for Complete Kodi Setup Wizard. That one can even be sent over to a FireStick to use there.

  17. Well it's personal choice at the end of the day so we will all have to agree to disagree.

No-one is saying it's not your choice, bud. Just simply that it might be unnecessary. Perhaps look into whether or not you can get decent streams before you renew?
