Do we know when Seth Rollins is back?

 

I didnt watch a lot of him but he did seem to improve the shows, even if he wasn't a great champion.

 

If 6 months is to be believed then he would be back end of April without setbacks.

 

Part of me still hopes he can make it back a month early and be back at Mania, but probably the Raw afterwards.

 

Rollins is already walking again comfortably and I wouldn't put it past him to get back early, he is also at Axxess so will be at Mania weekend. 

 

Loved The Rock on Raw. I know previously he seemed out of touch but he seemed back to his classic best here, almost as if he did his own material and had some freedom with it. 

 

He pretty much saved Raw though, everything else was samish. 

 

Oh and Bo Rider was gold as well, said his lines better than Flo-Rida himself. 

I guess that's what's good about wrestling, different strokes for different folks. Your high points of Raw (Rock, Social Outcasts/ Flo Rida) were my absolute nadir's. I thought that Social Outcasts seg was horrible. Just awful.

 

 

 

 

Oh I hated Flo Rida. But I don't mind some light humour. I didn't even like The Rock on his last few visits but enjoyed him last night.

 

Maybe I found it funny because its one of the rare occasions I watched live and after watching the Rumble live I was seriously lacking sleep so maybe easily pleased.

Jericho had me in stitches last week with the Jeritron 2000 or whatever it was and going through all the social media apps. 

 

Shame the Jeritron wasn't on this weeks episode. 

 

I can just about get over the shitty booking at this point and get behind Kalisto at the Rumble. Won't accept anything less than LoN interference a plenty and Kalisto overcoming it

 

 

I can see Del Rio winning this one (probably cheating/interference etc) and then Kalisto getting his own back in the Rumble match taking Del Rio out leading to another match for the next month or so. 

This might have been resolved logically but what ever happened to the Miz/Neville Mentoring angle? Did Neville attack Miz at some point and say fuck off I'm good as I am? I sometimes zone out when I'm watching Raw and miss things.

 

Last I remember was Neville saying something like 'If you ever get involved in my business again' (following Miz at ringside) then 'I will make you my business' or some rubbish. Haven't seen anything since unless its a Smackdown feud as I have no time for Smackdown. 

Its because the faces are pussies, why would you help Reigns when there is 9 superstars outside of the ring who could beat you up?

 

Speaking of things not making sense though, Ambrose did that promo after Owens attacked him saying he was still alive and will make Owens suffer, yet was nowhere to be seen in the main event? I can understand if they want the focus to be on Roman but why have that promo?

I was astonished that the commentary team (Cole?) said that Jericho was the favourite to win the rumble. Are they really that serious or think people would actually think he would win? 

 

Brock throwing everyone about was good fun, it also made me realise that by him throwing Owen around like a fat nobody that the rumoured mania match should never ever happen, leagues apart. Did love the Sheamus exchanges though. 

 

I was half expecting all the faces to run down to the ring and start fighting the heels (Ambrose, Ryback, Uso's etc) but I'm guessing that will happen on the go home raw before the rumble. 

One other thing I did forget to mention which is touched upon above is that sometimes Family members don't help with the situation, like I can understand that if I had a child who suffered from depression or any mental difficulties (I say this as I've been out with someone who has) that parents can be protective but at the same time I feel that sometimes they either over protect and influence decision making or they turn a blind eye to the problem itself and don't support them, I've been with someone who had major problems and would always find ways to get what she wants, be manipulative and in a sense make up excuses to cheat or whatever and all her mum ever did was back her up and almost pretend she didn't know what was happening when it was clear as day that she did. 

I really hate talking about this but I need other peoples' perspectives on the situation.  At the end of October my girlfriend came down with a bout of depression (eventually diagnosed as a dissociative disorder) and went to live back at her parents' in Essex.  She wouldn't talk, cried a lot, panicked easily over small insignificant things, and generally became something of a recluse.  She's had small bouts of this in the past which have only lasted a week or two, so I didn't think too much of it.  2 and a half months later and she's still there.

 

She's improved a fair bit since then, she's talking normally again and seems to be interacting with her family and friends up there, but she is flat-out refusing to come down and visit, saying that she doesn't feel comfortable being on a train or a bus on her own for an extended period of time.  This would be understandable in a way, but we're going to Dublin on Saturday for the weekend (which I booked before she got depressed) and she's choosing to catch the train to Bristol airport on Saturday morning before the flight instead of Friday evening and spending the night at my place.  She's citing the trains being much cheaper on Saturday morning for this, but I've checked and there's only £10 difference which, when you consider coming down Saturday morning risks missing the flight, doesn't seem like a lot to me.  This is also without mentioning the fact you can get the Megabus for as low as a fiver.

 

We haven't exchanged Christmas presents yet because we haven't seen each other since before then, but I know she's got me something which takes place in Cardiff on Wednesday (the day after we get back from Dublin), but she's actually going through the fuss of either changing the date or seeing if anybody else can take her place in whatever the activity is because she doesn't want to be left alone in my house when I'm in work on Wednesday.  My argument is that she needs to push herself to try and get better otherwise she's not going to improve.

 

I'm trying to approach the situation as delicate as I can because I know she can't help the way she feels, and I've never suffered with depression so I don't really know what it's like, but I can't help but feel there's more to the situation she's not telling me.  I'd understand if she was completely shut in her house and not venturing outdoors, but in the past month she's been up to Crewe to watch a panto with some family members, into London with her friend to watch a play, and the other day she sent me a video of a Christmas party she was at in which she was in good spirits and dancing.  It doesn't seem like she's struggling that much, certainly not so much that she has to avoid coming down to visit, but obviously I don't know what's going through her head so it's not fair of me to make that judgement.

 

Her mother isn't helping either.  I've never known somebody to treat their 26 year-old child so....childishly.  I know it's motherly instincts to protect your child and everything, but she genuinely treats her like a teenager to the point it can't be helpful.  Plus, whenever I go up to visit and I do something that her mother doesn't agree with, something very small and insignificant like leaving to go home an hour earlier than she would like, she treats me like shit in the most passive-aggressive way you can imagine.  Sometimes it's only small things, like giving me the cold shoulder or responding to my farewell with a simple "Ok bye" and then leaving the room.  It's difficult to explain really.

 

I really just needed to get all this off my chest as it doesn't look like it's about to improve anytime soon, and I'm constantly saying things to her that probably come across as harsh, but I'm genuinely trying to be helpful.  I don't suppose I really have much of a question except what are your thoughts on this?  It'd be nice to hear other peoples' opinions.

 

I don't know much about depression but seems a bit odd that she is still going out and doing things but finds reasons/excuses not to do so with you, either she feels comfortable in certain surroundings with certain people or because you haven't seen each other in a while its making her anxious so she is trying to get around it somehow and make it difficult (maybe not intentionally in a bad way).

 

But I think its at the point where you need to consider where its going and how its affecting your happiness without feeling guilty that she is in a difficult place, otherwise your going to be making a lot of effort, emotionally feeling for her conditions but at the same time being disappointed and let down as & when she finds excuses not to see you or do things with you because of her condition, made worse by her doing other things. 

RE Smackdown I'm sure I read its now an A show again now its on USA Network. 

 

I'm sure its online somewhere but I get the impression they will put more effort into it now and carry stories over, it makes sense I guess being on the same network. 

Lots can change between now & after mania.

 

Rollins will be back.

Wyatt's can feud with Roman.

Orton will be back.

Ambrose could turn heel.

Rusev/Owens could be elevated.

Not to mention all these new guys they've signed from Japan.

 

Failing that Kane/Big Show will probably do a job.

I wonder whether anything will be filmed with Vince, kind of like a Vince tells all kind of story that will play on the Network once he passes. 

 

We all know it would be a massive thing if he sadly passed away and equally how much they would plug his life story on the network but a programme filmed beforehand would be epic viewing, albeit if mostly full of shit. 

I can see the Rumble entrants being fixed for this, as in Reigns will be number 1. Then Big Show is the first opponent, then Sheamus, Del Rio etc. 

 

Big Show 100% will be one of the first two in this match.

I think the only two things guaranteed almost from this match is the rumoured Goldberg not coming back & any small hope Austin might lace the boots for one last time, imagine if the glass shatters & Austin came out in the rumble at number 30, but only if he knew he had a chance of one last shot at Mania. Won't work now the title is on the line.

The match works really well assuming Reigns doesn't beat the odds and wins the Rumble again.

 

That wouldn't go down too well. But opens the door for Brock, HHH, Rock, Cena etc to take the belt. 

I forgot to mention earlier but loved how Vince was with the NYC crowd. The part where they were chanting we can't hear you and Roman added his little bit and Vince saying something along the lines of Brooklyn always hearing what they want to hear was gold. 

I can see next weeks match being the usual all the odds against Reigns, then Rocky comes out and clears house and Reigns steals the win, then at the Rumble its either Reigns vs Sheamus one last time where Triple H might be enforcer/at ringside to make sure no where interferes and Rock does it again leading to Rock/HHH at Mania or Triple H enters himself into the Rumble and then Rock is also in there and takes him out and then just leaves himself just to protect Roman, not sure how that makes Roman look or if it works but something like that anyway. 

I doubt The Rock would be announcing he will be at Mania this early and that he is getting into shape if he wasn't wrestling? Even in previous years its either been a big surprise or announced nearer to the show, an appearance after this announcement makes no sense.

Orton has zero charisma. I couldn't care less if I never see him again in a WWE ring. 

Raw was terrible. Not sure mixing the Slammy's and a normal show works, I doubt it does anything for the ratings. They should by now have made the Slammy's a Network exclusive and just have an extra show somewhere doing the awards rather than squeezing it onto Raw where there was hardly any entrances for any of the matches.

 

I feel sorry for the fans who paid to go to Raw to miss most of the entrances, see some half matches & complete shit.
