  1. Is Vince hoping for more backing by 2020, as $100m wont stretch far and he has no NBC on board this time either. The whole thing baffles me. How can he realistically compete with the NFL?, or will VKM run games in their off period after the Superbowl til the NFL returns in the Autumn time. That is one thing which would make sense, be an addition to the NFL instead of competing against it, also a franchise based in Oakland as by then I think the Raiders will be moving to Vegas. The camera angles gimmick have been snapped up by the NFL, they wouldn't do the cheerleaders locker room gimmick now unless by 2020 they've gone Attitude Era-esque again. Oakland are apparently interested in Colin Kaepernick, so only really Johnny Manziel would be a prize catch for them. But by 2020 who knows what state he'll be in as he's into the party lifestyle. I think Vince is playing down the gimmicky aspect too so what realistically do fans have to tune in for?. I'd imagine it'll appeal for to the 40+ year demographic and be more Football orientated, but hes cutting 3hr games into 2hr so again that can't be the focus. Interest in football is down because of the protests, but forcing players stand for the anthem instead of having the right to protest makes it seem very draconian and subservient. Why Vince can't focus on improving his core product I don't know, since that would be a better investment of his time and money.

  2. Enzo not going to WWE first and telling them about the allegation is what has cost him his job. Had he been open and told the truth they'd have suspended him pending on the results of the investigation, like Heath Slater was. But now I don't know if WWE would take him back because he's been shady and kept this all hidden from them.

Until all the facts are presented you can't make a fair judgment as its all hearsay and conjecture. I do believe the accuser should have kept anonymous because even her so called friend or ex friend is questioning the credibility of her accusation. If its all a big fabrication then Enzo has been wrongly thrown under the bus. But its of his own making because he shouldn't be hooking up with random girls and doing drugs.

He's in the public eye as a celebrity and he should be acting accordingly instead of like living the gimmick & being reckless and immature. If he is guilty then he's destroyed his career and reputation but its of his own making and in that instance I have no sympathy for him whatsoever because he's taken advantage of and traumatized a girl who already has mental health issues.

  3. Sid/Arn happened in Germany [or] England, Some quotes from those who saw it go down, this refers to an incident in Frankfurt (?)

edit: weirdly there's two versions of this story, one where it happened in Germany, the other in England.

    * There are many versions of this story out there, including various reported dates and locations where this incident took place. Some sites report that this happened in England while 2 Cold Scorpio says it happened in Frankfurt, Germany.

As no police report/charges were filed it seems there's why there's an alternate story and 2Cold said it happened in Germany. Unless they had a confrontation there which continued over into England where the incident really went down.

  4. If you've got Sky box sets they have quite a few Ken Burns docs up on there. Jack Johnson, Baseball 10th Innings, Prohibition to name a few. The Civil War multi part doc is on the 30th December. They showed the Statue of Liberty one a few weeks back but I missed it. Vietnam is coming to PBSAmerica in the Spring if you missed it on iPlayer/BBC4.

There's a really good Roy Orbison doc on iPlayer currently called Love Hurts. It is incredibly sad though towards the end so I'd avoid watching that part if you don't want to get upset. Its very moving IMO but if your a Big O fan I definitely recommend it.

  5. Article here http://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/sports/sdut-rugby-head-injuries-safety-2016may16-story.html regarding the safety of Rugby vs Football. Seems it's fairly balanced with CTE being discovered in Rugby players brains too. This was an eye opening statistic

In the most extensive study conducted comparing rugby and football, an Auckland University of Technology group examined the number of catastrophic incidents resulting in paralysis or death in sports between 1975 and 2005. It found that, other than in England, where injuries were fewer, rugby incidents worldwide caused 4.6 catastrophic injuries for every 100,000 players. Football had 75 percent fewer, at 1.0.
