Yea I saw that. Must have had to reinforce for it when Hulk slammed the 500,000lb Andre The Giant. In this instance it didn't come crashing down...

    Live from the Silverdome

giphy.gifHulk will reform the Hulk Hogan Wrestling Boot Band and play in the empty Silverdome like Pink Floyd in Pompeii.

  2. From yesterday's F4W/WO daily update

want to mention that I just got a copy of the book "Crazy Like A Fox: The Definitive Chronicle of Brian Pillman 20 years later," by Liam O'Rourke and this is the best biography, probably because of the nature of the subject, as far as real in-depth and honest of any wrestler that I've ever seen. It's not really a wrestling book, but it has tons of wrestling, but a look at a fascinating character with all the good and bad put in. I promise you, nobody has ever worked harder to get an interview with me than him and the story is completely different from any pro wrestling book out there. It's as accurate as accurate can be with extensive interviews with his family and friends.

Looks like a ham baguette that thing. Crap!

Yep, looks as if they took one of their banquettes and crafted it into an mutant Eclair. You can imagine it being used in this scene tenor.gif

  4. Good you can recover the data but that it's still not working really sucks. If the HDD is on its way out then I'd advise not to do too much with it as you risk damaging it further and it lessens the data recovery options. If you can pick up a cheap cable there's no harm done trying that and hopefully it will fix it. I'm wondering however if one of the internal connectors itself might have burnt out. Another thing to rule out the HDD is have you run the SMART utility through recovery? Also this page might help

  5. No worries. Their live chat might be able to help. Even if it's out of warranty they should still help. If it's passing disc utility diagnostics then it would suggest that it's not a HDD specific error as such,

But if it's not showing up as to be able to install to then it does, so it's confusing. The steps in this topic might help

    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4587572?start=0&tstart=0

Can you run system diagnostics at all? In the topic it mentions a failed drive cable which I'm assuming might be the culprit. If it's been solid but used a lot over the years general wear and tear might be the cause. If it has a DVD drive or can boot via USB try a live Linux distribution and see if that boots. If it does hopefully it's something simple like a software error or corruption in Mavericks that can be fixed. If it's a hardware error then it complicates matters. But make sure Linux doesn't write to the drive in case the HDD is on its way out.

Again I think the drive cable might have come lose or burnt out. I would try and get to the Macstore asap but they might need to repair it. As it's out of warranty it could unfortunately cost money etc. If you explain to your client(s) about the issue and are trying to get it fixed I'm sure they'd be understanding. It's something that can't be helped.

I would definitely try the live chat route and they'll advise you accordingly. I'm assuming they will go through all recovery steps and suggest a Macstore visit.

Have you dropped/knocked the MacBook at all?. I'm sure you've tried going through system restore

    https://www.imore.com/how-use-mac-recovery-system-restore-mavericks

If you've synced any files to iCloud they should still be on there . If you've got a recent backup of your files you could try reinstalling Mavericks but remember it will overwrite everything. Have you tried doing a step by step chat online as they will offer more specialist advice. If all fails take it to your local Macstore. Another very important tip if you've got important files you don't want to lose don't write any further to the HDD. Power the MacBook down and keep it in a safe place so nothing happens to the HDD. If its corrupted system files causing the issue that can in theory be fixed but if it's a HDD hardware error you may need to look into professional data recovery.

Another thing is that there maybe a lose/faulty connection from the HDD to the motherboard so to speak. If it can't "see" the HDD it won't boot up, this page goes into more detail

    https://www.macworld.co.uk/how-to/mac/how-to-fix-mac-wont-turn-on-3423817/

This might work and you should be able to access Terminal via the recovery disc

Hope you get it sorted out

  7. That match "made" Mick in the WWE. He nearly permanently injured himself being thrown off the cell and especially when he was choke slammed through it. That was even more brutal as it gave way and he thudded into the canvas. Mick no doubt suffered multiple concussions in that match alone too. In hindsight it's just a crazy match to watch. He won a ton of respect for nearly killing himself for the wrestling fans entertainment. That he has any memories working that match at all is something. Plus the other wacky stuff he's done, being powerbombed on concrete by Vader, chair shots among other things it's mind boggling he can still function.

One person’s “removed” is another person’s “mother died of anemia a week after she was born and her owners’ couldn’t cope with a litter on their schedule so asked for people to adopt the kittens”

That wasn't a dig at you, I should have asked the backstory first. There was no malice behind what I said either just that Cats behave that way when they are away from their Mother too soon. They ideally need two months or so to learn from the Mother Cat. That you essentially hand reared the Cat is great and its sad the Margots mother passed due to anaemia. If I've caused offensive with my misreading of the situation I apologise.

  9. What Margot is doing is a classic sign of a Cat being removed from their Mother too early. They are essentially doing the sucking because they are physiologically still in "kitten mode" and the sucking and "kneading" is because they still want their Mothers milk. This would also explain the clinging to you.

  10. Haku stories are great. You hear plenty in shoots by those who travelled with him. I think some fall into the urban myth category but had social media been around back then for people to take photos/record video who knows. The general consensus is that Haku is a tough guy so you don't get that rep without being able to back it up.

  11. The whole concept of DLC is flawed. You buy a game for like £50 then to progress in the game you have to buy "upgrades" and such. Why don't developers include everything within the game itself like they used to and just make things unlockable. DLC IMO is having a detrimental affect on gaming because it is just milking as much money as they can. Push too far and gamers will abandon DLC altogether. Same logic applies with free games on mobiles and in-app purchases.

The final Red Dwarf of the series is good. Some good jokes, interesting premise, nice cameos. There are some glaring omissions from the show's history, but it was by far the best episode of the series.

Yep definitely the best of this series. Spoiler just in case no ones seen the finale yet.

I thought we'd see a multi verse where he became Ace Rimmer since if he's going into different universes in theory Ace should have made an appearance where he's successful etc. Good to see Holly, the Captain etc. I think if they stuck more to the story things would have made more sense. Also the MJ jokes were eye roll worthy. It seemed like they dusted off an old script for those. But apart from that it was a good episode. If they continue with RD they should set things up for a conclusion. Unless they leave it in limbo so you make your own assumption for an ending. Ideally they should bring back Chrissy so she ends up with Dave, they find someone for Cat, Kryten joins up with the robots in the Silicona episode again similar to when he rebelled and drove a motorbike or he finds Camille again. For Rimmer he becomes human again and an officer and they manage to find a tear in the space time continuum and go back to Earth. A bit predictable type endings but for a final series they should try and tie up any loose ends
