  1. Jim Cornette might want to stop calling Kenny Omega bug-eyed, amongst the other slurs he regularly throws at him. If I remember correctly, Kenny has some Mediterranean or Middle Eastern heritage. If that is the case, calling him bug-eyed, apart from being unpleasant, also strays well into racist territory, unwittingly or otherwise. I wonder if Cornette ever worked the racist territory during the 80's?

I’ve done the fantasy league in work, I’m more excited about that to be honest. Three fullbacks and Mane, Salah and Greenwood in midfield. Garth ain’t got shit on me.

Me too mate. My team has never been in the Premier League & I sacked Sky Sports off years ago, so basically (other than the odd bit of MoTD) I get to see fuck all. Whislt I may still have preferences, essentially I couldn't care less. FF gives me a reason to care, a hobby & at times, something to occcupy my mind. Couldn't give a shit about the prize at the end of it, just being able to compete is enough. Such a shame that 'professionals' always seem to win these things, purchasing multiple teams & using spread betting (if that's the right phrase) & fucking algorithms. Bulgarians seem to have a habit of winning. They interviewed one winner & he was a statistician by 'profession'. It's not really in the spirit of the game is it? Take me on one on one, or five on five, bitch. Incidentally, last season's winner of the Official Premier League game (Bulgarian, I think) was stripped of that win, for racially abusing Raheem Sterling online!

  3. Past 6 or 7 years, I've correctly called the eventual Champions before the season even started (apart from Leicester). Not because I'm great, just because it seemed obvious. Can't predict this year's at all. Liverpool: I'd be concerned about the form since March. Fewer clean sheets, more defeats & too much reliance on Salah. Man City: still too fragile at the back (how many fucking left backs do you need to try?), an ageing and more frequently injured Aguero, an older & more often played out of position Fernandinho + the losses of Sane & D. Silva & Pep's unwillingness to ever just lump the fucker, or park the bus if necessary. If things go particularly well for Man U or Chelsea, they could be serious contenders & even Arsenal could pinch a top-4 spot.

Just referring back to the Fantasy Football subject. I must have been playing these bloody things for over 25 years now (from when you had to phone your team and transfers in, with Rod Wallace, Regi Blinker & Paul Braithwaite being some of my earlier selections). I've played the Official Premier League game for the past 5 or 6 years (that's the one with around 6 million entrants), in addition to my main game with The Telegraph. Prior to that it was mostly the Mirror's game. Best ever finish was 188th or something similar.

  4. This episode is probably the first I've watched, where paths were clearly laid out, for things to hopefully start making more sense. Jericho & Hagar 'out of the way', to chase the Tag-Titles, at the same time, making that a more intriguing division. Page & Omega (as they need to do) performing as singles competitors & adding to the list of Championship contenders. Miro in, adding to the likes of; Moxley, Archer, Lee & Cage in the big boys division & potential feuds boiling under (Best Friends/Santana & Ortiz, Darby & Starks). Being polite, still not impressed with Omega & Paige's promo's. We already have 2 "Best Friends". That's enough of the soppy man-love. You're supposed to be there to wrestle, gentlemen. My highlight was Jericho with the fire extinguisher...perfect comedy timing.

Those rumours about the Yakuza being involved with Japanese pro wrestling seem to hold some weight then? :)

Historically with Pro-Wrestling NOAH & the odd rumour about Kojika (BJW) having ties to them. Wouldn't be sure how or if it extends beyond those. Mentioned it before, but I was communicating with a Japanese guy recently, for a period of time. He reckoned that a high percentage of Yak members (he suggested as many as 80%) are Korean nationals. There's still a lot of heat between S.Korea and Japan, on top of Rocket Man launching shit in their general direction. Anyway that's by-the-by.

I know Rey has had a big part to play in it but Dominick has really taken to being in the ring like a duck to water, haven't been so impressed with a 3rd Gen star in years, would bank on him dropping down into NXT for a spell going up against the likes of Drake, Escobar and Scott in the Cruiserweight title picture within the next year

Is he 3rd or 2nd generation? Rey Misterio is Misterio Jr.'s uncle.

  7. So the Messi saga didn't turn out to be a drawn-out affair after all. Pretty lame really. I wanna leave. Well, you can't. Oh, OK then.

He's stuck there, somewhat against his will for another 10 months. If things improve, I guess he'll be happy to stay longer. Just seemed a bit of a hissy fit anyway, because Barca only finished 2nd in the league & didn't reach the UCL semi's. To be fair, they're nowhere near unbeatable these days, but I think all things considered, there are people out there with greater issues to deal with.

Disappointing that he (or those around him) didn't check the 'facts', beforehand. Though, he still believes he should have been able to leave, just isn't prepared to take the club to court. Which considering the past 17 or so years is reasonable.

Odd numbers on adverts in relation to their products and polls.

"83% of 247 people responded positively" Either round it up, or fuck off.

I also saw one recently that said "72% would recommend this", and that's not the brag they think it is.

Don't know if that's the same one, but I saw something the other day. It was a similar percentage, but 'out of 64' people, or an equally weary number.

Did Anna Jay have a wardrobe malfunction? Maybe that was wishful thinking on my part.

Every fucking episode she's on, he's at it, with some or other related comment. Can't she just be there, without being a vixen, jezebel or whichever qualitiies his warped, old mind attributes to her? Even if he's thinking it, ffs have the awareness not to say it. Dirty old man.

  10. The BBC reported recently that Spurs were finalizing a new contract with Lloris, despite the signing of Joe Hart. I'd have thought the signing of Joe Hart necessitated not just Lloris, but Gazzinaga and at least 2 more 'keepers, to prevent him from ever actually playing. The guy's been a disaster everywhere he's been, since leaving City. Nice fella and all that, but 3rd choice at Burnley, the state of it.

I feel like Triple H proper just knows Ace of Spades and his own theme tunes as well, despite him being a self professed metalhead and huge Motorhead fan.

I first got into Motörhead in '79, having bought "No Class" on 7" (at which time they were on £50 a week) and was pretty much done with them, with the exception of "Killed By Death", by '83. It always seemed odd to me that HHH was so far behind the curve and that musically he still hasn't moved on....you really should have by that age...really.

I recently heard Austin asking Jericho about his musical influences. Austin was praising Y&T, quite rightly so imo, for their earlier stuff, but Jericho only knew them form mid-late 80's, when they had a more commercial sound. Bloody amateurs.

  12. Just found this little piece from the Spectator: "It is not known how big the group of infected people must be for herd immunity to kick in, but it is some percentage of the population."

Speaks for itself I think. However, if you're still unsure, I know a man that can tell you. That man's name is Steiner, Scott Steiner.

    and

Apparently, having taken a poll, it transpires that 40% of Americans wouldn't have the Covid vaccine, if one existed (CNN). Such a retarded bunch of cunts.

  13. Nice one. I'm endlessly amused by shitarse kids getting their comeuppance. To be fair, not seen one in a while. It was a kid on a swing in a pub beergarden. Just an absolute arse. Anyhow, sooner or later he fell off, at the absolute optimum height. Naturally, we laughed.

WHO or WH?  Trump's new mate is very keen on herd Immunity.

Ahh. Good spot. It was just a strapline I saw on CNN. Probably WH, in which case I retract part of my previous statement. Just as an aside, it may not have occurred to many, but you can have a fucking good gurn under the mask. Try it. It's a lot of fun.
