  1. I'd put the Muppets somewhere around electricity and the wheel as the peak of human creation. A purely joyous thing. Watched a couple of the early 1980's episodes the other week with Mrs Mears and it was fantastic, Debbie Harry and Kenny Rogers clearly having the time of their lives as guest stars.

When we were on our honeymoon last year the resort we stayed in had a daily Sesame Street show. Human size Cookie Monster with a massive arse.

  2. We were in the Uecker seats without anyone behind. Lot of families about and two lads next to us were quiet throughout and evidently had iron bladders, managing to get through from 4PM to 10 without moving once.

  3. I had great fun. Think the same group of us will go up next year. I don't watch AEW TV so haven't seen a great deal of MJF before, but he's phenomenal. Gets working a crowd in a way I've only seen in a handful of people.

Very pleaaed I managed to time going for a piss and getting a pint with Saraya's match perfectly.

  4. European Masters starts tomorrow, lads. Finally some real sport on after the end of the Ashes.

Well excited. Have been jonesing to the extent that I watched the British Open qualifiers on Facebook last week. Me and 70 other people worldwide watching Rod fucking Lawler crawl his way to victories.

  5. The Audible ad campaign which is plastered everywhere:

Wake up late for work. Pay for a taxi. It's Saturday! Laugh through it all with Audible.

You spent hundreds of thousands of pounds and this was the funniest real life situation you could come up with? Although it is pitch perfect for people who call themselves right cards and have 'you don't have to be mad to work here, but it helps!' signs on their desks.

  6. I'm finishing a two part biography of Charles de Gaulle translated from French. Great read. Taking away his politics etc he sounds like an absolute fucking nightmare to be around.

Also getting back into reading philosophy a bit. Half way through Critique of Pure Reason by Kant as a prelude to reading some Hegel which I've never done before. It's like making your bonce run a marathon, can only read about an hour at a time before it hurts.
