Forbidden Door is at the end of June. Only thing guaranteed at the moment is Kenny Omega defending the IWGP US title against Will Ospreay or Lance Archer.

I know Ospreay vs Omega 2 is THE match, but Omega vs Archer sounds like a grand old time. I'd really like to see what those two could so with fifteen minutes in a relaxed rules environment.

  2. There'll never be one because wrestlers and promoters can't help themselves when it comes to not booking their scuzzy mates and/or crumbling under peer pressure and powerplay politics, and there are fans who will go to the shows no matter what because they HAVE to support BritWres like it's their only identifying characteristic.

Take a look under those PROGRESS tweets where they announced Robbo's return. You'd think Kenta fucking Kobashi himself was returning with the amount of love hearts and praise being heaped in there.

BritWres is a snake eating itself alive, and the same can be said for every form of media. I haven't been to a BritWres show since the shit hit the fan in 2020, and even with this Copper Box show looming I'm still waiting until the very last minute for the entire Rev Pro card to be released before making an informed choice.

It's shite Keith, but we do our best to reduce our carbon footprint of bastards as it's utterly impossible to do so 100% without staring at a wall for 16 hours a day (and even then that wall better not be painted with animal-tested paint).

If anythings naive, it's expecting BritWres fans to choose a show based on morals.

Ready and waiting for your list of 100% ethical BritWres promotions who will be running during All In weekend...

The Progress and Rev Pro shows overlap by an hour and a half. Progress done by 7pm (at best), Rev Pro Bell time of 5:30pm.

Shame they couldn't have spread them out a bit more rather than both appealing to the same crowd but that's BritWres!

Expecting Rev Pro and PROGRESS to work together after the past five years is incredibly naive. Rev Pro don't owe PROGRESS any favours, and PROGRESS have dug their own grave by selling their souls to WWE, harbouring an unchecked abusive environment and booking Paul Robinson just to appease Will Ospreay's power-play politics. The same crowd are going to make their choice on the day, and they're going to side with the promotion who stuck to their guns and are now running the Copper Box with the one of the biggest shows in post-WoS indie BritWres history.

  5. I'm sure the PPV will be great, in the same way that all AEW PPVs tend to offer more positives than negatives, but this is the least interested I've been in an AEW PPV in a long, long while.

The build to the World title match has been a mix of the incredibly weak and the incredibly weird. "WWE Lite" gets thrown around a lot, but a lot of the segments that built to this match just felt like off-cuts from a generic RAW template. Hell, a 4-way world title match headlining a PPV is very WWE Lite, and WWE Lite is exactly what I don't want from AEW.

What's worse is that Darby has to put in an all-time performance here and come off like a fucking star, otherwise he has ransacked his persona by acting like a dweeb for nothing. I'm sure the match will deliver, but will it deliver more than a straight-up Darby vs MJF match? My head and heart says no.

My interest in Jamie vs Toni is even lower, as this Outcasts vs Originals feud has been so incredibly lacklustre. I cannot believe that they built a women's division that was really finding it's footing only to bring in fucking Paige to tank the fucker. And all after Jamie got over organically. A massive shame but I hope the crowd lifts this one up.

The FTR/Jarrett Appreciate Society was not exactly what I expected from an FTR babyface tag title run, and here they are facing a meme team as their first PPV tag title defence. I'm sure JJ will be whacky, and Mark will do his schtick, and it'll be light-hearted entertainment to lift the spirits, but it peaked last week with Singh flying off the stage. And I cannot be arsed with Karen Jarrett either. Fucking hell, Karen Jarrett. This has the potential to be the worse AEW PPV tag title match since the company's inception, which isn't saying that it won't be fun, but there used to be a certain gold standard with those belts. Can't say I've seen that much this year.

Despite some cracking promos from Christian, I can't say the quick build to this ladder match is filling me with much excitement. Man, what a disappointment Wardlow has been. As a ladder match connoisseur I'm sure I'll find something to enjoy but it's all very slapdash.

And, despite Adam Cole's return being hyped for weeks, and what an incredible return it was, his feud with Chris Jericho has also felt slapdash and haphazard despite feeling like it's been going on for fucking ages. I just cannot be arsed with this, so thank fuck they've added the NO DQ stip as Adam Cole excels at the plunder.

Jade vs Taya? Christ alive. As if the first one wasn't bad enough. Kris can't come soon enough.

As for the Blackjack battle royal, I've really had enough of these. Feels like every 4-6 weeks there's some rumble gimmick going on. And instead of a big PPV one on one match for OC, who's busted his ass with consistently good matches to elevate the International title, we get another fucking rumble.

Anarchy In The Arena is THE selling point for this PPV. At least for me. The stories, matches and build have been really good, and we all knew where it was going and we were chomping on the bit for it to finally happen, and it fucking did, we got Adam Page back and it was fantastic. I'm game for this, and it makes me wish that the rest of the card had this kind of care crafted into it.

So yeah, I'm down on this. Not down enough to not watch as I still have to make all those hours of Dynamite seem worth it, and AEW hasn't fired off a dud PPV yet, so I'll be going into this with the lowest of expectations. I hope they find their groove again for the big summer run, and this PPV might be the start of that.

Looks like the idea of Sting retiring on this show aren't going to happen, as he's in talks to work a show with Goldberg in Israel in September.

Wahey, looks like Sting is winning the strap then!

It's going to be strange, a wrestling show with one of the highest attendances for the year and might not be a PPV as a PPV is the next week. Im sure it will be televised one way or another.

I've got a theory that All In will be a PWG-style dream match show, where's there's not much build except for tantalising match graphics and maybe an interview or video package, and All Out will be your typical storyline-driven PPV.

  8. *ahem*

I'll be shocked if they sell 30k tickets.

Clearly has money to burn does TS, but won't be a good look. When Wembley is empty it looks verrrry empty and soulless.

Hell, I'll even reply to that post again with a photo of myself at the crammed and rammed 30k+ Wembley Stadium just for shits and giggles, and I encourage everyone else who is going to do the same.

This post is pending. Check back in late August.

Seems to be the case. AA, BB, CC, DD and EE are the ringside blocks, then A through are the ones further out, with ZA-ZE (in front of the East Stand) being the furthest away. This is the best quality pic I can find that shows the pitch seating

    YYkXsxj.jpg

Fucking hell, cheers! See you all on the floor then! Can't wait to see Billy Gunn main event against Jeff Jarrett, it's gonna be class.

  11. Is it right to assume that all sections that are assigned a letter of the alphabet are on the floor? When going on the various Wembley seat view sites, all the tiered seat sections are numbered.

  12. There's lots of excuses being made here for piss poor fry-up toast standards. Wait three minutes until I can eat my toast? Spread the butter myself? Hogwash.

  13. Pre-buttered toast is rare, but I prefer it. I'm not one to worry about how much butter is on my toast when I'm about to devour a plate of fried food. And I'd rather just dive in than fuck around with little packets of butter, especially when there's usually no room to lay a piece of toast down flat to butter it.

  14. Jimmy Mac's in Halesowen. You'll see the remnants of the tomato up top, which I gave to my wife because they should be nowhere near a fry-up.

Toast was pre-buttered, eggs were runny, sausage was good, and the black pudding was hidden snuggly under the bacon.

7/10. Nothing mind blowing but solid, tasty and looks the part.

I think we can all make predictions and the such, without having people then countenance those predictions with "HAHA, told you so" which is, in my opinion, really weird and childish.

I don't think they'll fill that stadium, but if they do are all the people that said they would going to come and "dunk" on me?

I find it all a bit strange.

    Yeah, likewise.
Yes, they may do comps and deals but I don't honestly see them doing more than 30k full price tickets for this event.

Good for them if they do.

And that's what we in the biz call 'moving goalposts'.

I'm already looking into my crystal ball and seeing posts such as "Yeah but you can't prove that EVERYONE there has paid FULL PRICE though!" and "Yeah but Tony leaks those enlarged numbers to Meltzer!".

  18. I'm excited about the storytelling, I just found the in-ring this week to be incredibly lacking. You can have all the storytelling and angles you want, but AEW generally has a formula where they can do both, and that sweet spot is where they've been excelling mostly every week.

It's a minor blip though, we'll see if they rebound post 'Mania weekend.

  19. Fucking hell, that was a bit shit, wasn't it? Not at all up there with the usual AEW standard.

I really enjoyed the first-hour storyline with the BCC, and the feud with The Elite is going to be fucking fantastic (stick your Bloodline up your arses), but everything else was stale at worst, and pandemic average at best.

It's a shame as the crowd were hot at the start, then they gradually got the colder as the feeling of "What, is that it?" smothered them like The Fog and turned them all onto their phones.

I get that it's 'Mania week, and the big ROH PPV is round the corner, but they still could've put a little more effort into the actual match quality.

  20. I am in no way saying that OPM are actually good, c'mon now. Just way, way better than Crazytown (which isn't hard, to be fair).

I did have that OPM album, and there's a skit on there where the band are smashing up a confectionary machine, and that thirty seconds is still better than any Crazytown song.

And any A7X song too, but that's a given.
