  1. If Rock comes back looking like that it will convince all those who think of wrestling (the non wrestling fans) as full of roided up empty heads with a short life span. Its been great the last year or so with Bryan and Punk and smaller guys main eventing.

But who cares what the non-wrestling fans think? That has no relevance to anything. Non-wrestling fans will see Rock and think "steroids" and they will look at CM Punk and think "skinny pussy". Either way they won't be buying a ticket, merchandise or ordering a PPV so who gives a fuck?

Because you want to entice people into your product. The aim is to grow the fanbase and history shows larger than life characters who are typically big in size capture the attention more than smaller guys.

I've found that big, hulking mammoth-men would actually put off non-fans as it asserts the whole 'gay men in tights' stereotype. Smaller, yet still chisled and ripped wreslters who look like legit athletes is the best cert to hook in anybody who is curious about wrestling. Yes, have them 'larger than life' character wise, but don't go sticking a dozen pairs of roided up biceps on a show and think that your 'old school' mentality is going to pay off.

  2. After browsing through a wonderful Google image search of Isis The Amazon, i don't know wether to feel happy for Colt or feel sorry for him. Some of the pics are certainly teasing enough for me to be curious to see a lil' more.

Oh shit, i feel a fetish coming on...

  3. Everything from the LAW stable and Art of Wrestling is all you need. That gives you 5-6 hours a week of new content. Agree about Pollock/Ting being great, hopefully one day they can force Dan Lovranski out of the main show and get Pollock in his seat permanently. Lovranski is good comedy value for being so off the mark so often, but I would be quite happy to see him pushed out.

Totally agree. Pollock & Ting are money. Nothing like sending in feedback and hearing your own words being read by them. Pollock struggling through laughter to read out my review of The Backyard is one of my personal highlights of the year.

And i just realised how pathetic that sounds. Christ.

  4. To carry on from JNLister's thoughts about Attack! Pro Wrestling...i agree whole-heartedly.

They did a show in Brum about 18 months ago and it still sticks with me as to how fun it was. I've been to a lot of indy shows in my time but these guys just knew what buttons to press and when. No egos, no arrogance, no Bawbaggery; just a great time with great action. Fuck, they were that dedicated to the cause that some of them even performed twice in the show! The fact that they were performing in a small pub in a undesirable location didn't bother them at all. They were also more than happy to stick around after the show and have a chat with us, even though we were quite squibby by that point.

Total class act, can't recommend them enough. Just wish they'd swing by Brum more often.

  5. Tyler Reks is a twat. Nobody gave a shit about him and nobody would ever have given a shit about him. Because he's shit.

Shit or not, it doesn't mean we should take what he says as shit. He was there sharing locker rooms with Cena, thus he has more clout on the situation than any of us do, wether he his lying, exagerting or actually being truthful.

Well that makes absolute sense to me.

    Lovely stuff. Kiss my face.

  7. I second the love for LAW, especially the Review-A-Wai, Review-A-Raw and Review-An-Impact shows. Excellent stuff all the time and they give off a nice Charlie Brooker vibe (despite being from Canada).

Also, although not specifically about wrestling, Tree Of Woe (http://steveandlarson.com/category/tree-of...larson-podcast/) starring TFTW's Steve Here and And Larson is a fantastic podcast. They usually review that weeks RAW at the start and then get onto main bulk of the show, answering fan questions, which revovles around wrestling and gaming.
