  1. Out of curiousity, does anyone know what the deal with commemorative event chairs was for this show? I know those who sell a kidney for the first x amount of rows normally get a special chair. But I didn't see any at the show at all. And they were originally advertised as being part of the deal. So just wondering what the score was with that.

Heavy tempted to grab a last minute ticket for 2000 Trees as long as I can sort a PA.

Wonder Years, Skindred and a chance to see American Football live is enough reason for me to go when splitting a ticket will cost £75 each or so.

This is how me and my PA do Glasto now. He goes half on my ticket, and then we use my disabled rail pass to get cheap travel down. The small perks of being wrecked haha. Trees looks awesome. I was supposed to last year after winning tickets, but I caught covid at Glasto and was a write off.

  3. Skindred in Shangri-la on Thursday should be an experience. Saw Gojira there a few years back and that was ace. Seen Skindred so many time I don't really mind if I don't see them most of the time. Despite them always being great. But the venue should make it unique.

On the access front, we even commented between ourselves how shoddy the setup looked for those with disabilities.  The position main of the msin stage access area was a complete joke, and the second stage one was so small we saw rows of wheelchair users lined up on the gravel at the top of the hill as they couldn't all fit into the area.  Completely unacceptable given they would have known exactly how many access passes they'd issued well in advance of the festival.

They tried to frame the whole 'extra access camps' as a positive thing they'd done to help people be able to attend. When in reality they didnt have the facilities or infrastructure to support these. So it was a cash grab to get even more people on an already massively oversold site. Places in each of these camps were allocated, yet at 17:30 when we finally got in, there wasn't any space and people had to move to squeeze us in. Given the traffic issues there were people still arriving well into the early hours of the morning, so it was massively oversubscribed. They just shoved as many people on site as they could, be it gen pop or access, and didnt improve anything to accommodate them. Ours wasnt the only access camp with a lack of toilets and stuff either, was a common problem across all but one of them. I expect things will be great lt improved next year due to the bad press, but its a shame it happened in the first place.

14 hours in a car yesterday for a 3 hour journey.

Got onto disabled camping at 2am, people still arriving at 4/5am. Fucking horrific.

Luckily nothing was dampening my mood so that worked perfect to keep my spirits up.

Seen people who worked the fest stating they wont work it again after the mess. Supposedly there were people who didnt know their ass from their elbow running the carparks this year, and when they screwed it up they bailed because they were unmanageable. After being the cause of that in the first place. This would explain why there were such bad issues getting in this year. Took our lot 5 and a half hours to get from Birmingham New Street, where friends picked us up, to the site. Access was a shitshow this year too, so many issues. When we arrived to access camp b there were 4 portaloos.. 4 toilets for a massively overfilled space. I mean we had to get people to move to make room for our small tents, and this was before 6. They allocated these spaces yet there wasnt anywhere near enough space for the numbers. They later brought another 4 portaloos. Buggies for the more severely disabled weren't provided as they claimed they would be. Staff told me there were barely any buggies allocated to access at all, and the over the whole weekend i never saw a single one servicing camp b. Now while i dont require that unless i'm having a really bad day, many do daily in order to cope with a festival of that size. And that's under normal conditions and not the oven it ended up being. Platforms were poorly managed, and the main stage one pushed way back into a corner. There's a shocking amount of reports out there regarding disability top trumps and staff questioning punters about not being disabled enough etc (despite the fact to gain access to those facilities you need to prove that). Useless security staff not even trying to help people on mobility scooters etc. Amusingly Download claim to be "the most accessible festival in the UK" because they won some award for it years ago. They're not even close...

I did have fun, but wow. Managed to pick these up too!

Also don’t forget there the possibility a train strike coming soon if the date falls on the rescheduled date that will be a bigger disaster for this already flop show

Yeah, that could cause a whole bunch of problems. Supposed to start around the time i'm off to Glastonbury so that is potentially a huge issue.

  7. Lost a fiver overall on travel and accommodation, which i'm fine with, but i imagine there'll be some who lost more as they wouldn't have seen it coming. Bought my tix etc fully aware the likelihood of it happening was slim, So there wasn't really any risk. But a bunch of wrestlers my daughter knows appearing means it would have been a fun night out for her. If it goes ahead at all now i'll be genuinely surprised. I'm at a festival that week, so gonna take my daughter somewhere else instead.

Unfortunately the event organisers of Wrestling Entertainment Series, previously due to take place at the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham on Saturday 4 June 2022, have rescheduled the event to Saturday 9 July 2022.

All tickets purchased for the tour will remain valid for the new date. If you are unable to make the rescheduled date, please contact your point of purchase for a refund.

Surely nobody is daft enough to be buy anything above the lowest price ticket for this.

Part of me wants to hunt out some clips of the show once it’s happened just to see how empty the arena. I’m not saying that I want it to fail, but how could it do anything else based on what we’ve seen so far

I have 2 cheap tickets, and a hotel with free cancelation, purely as my daughter knows all the names involved and it's half term. But i'm expecting a train wreck of a show, if it happens at all. Between the shoddy multiple countdown resets launch, apparently hacked and now just removed Facebook, and the multiple price drops.. The whole thing is a mess.

Either the links on the website are wrong, or their Facebook and YouTube accounts have disappeared now too.

This "running your own promotion" lark is easy isn't it?

Their Facebook got renamed "Fweeeds" at some point this afternoon and then vanished a little later.
