I love some Affleck, way too much hate on him for no reason.
Has anyone ever watched Hollywoodland, one of my favourite Affleck films.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is on C4 right now, if you haven't see it and would like to
wish I voted now, I totally would have had Butch and Sundance in there, The Sting is awesome too. Some of the best chemistry ever commited to screen comes from Redford and Newman.

Good question, Phenom. (one I can't answer)
Where is Maryse, and why isn't she in Impact Wrestling yet?

watched a few films over the last few days,
The Last Samurai
Really liked this, and i really like Tom Cruise dont care what anyone says he puts in a fine performance in this alongside Ken Watanabe. Awesome visuals and a great story, although Billy Connolly is slightly out of place isn't he?
Hot Rod
Not tremendously funny, but a fun watch for 90 mins.
The Way
A good little film, a treasure and fine performance from Martin Sheen. It has even inspired me to do the walk itself.
Open Range
Adored this. I love Coster. It was so old fashioned in everything it did, just felt like a good old fashioned Western with a lot of heart. Robert Duvall is class too. The final shootout was mesmerising.

Aw I thought it was craptacular, I think its the only film I didnt enjoy this year. And you know obviously I wanted to love it, Scorsese and all! I just thought it was rubbish, i hated Hugo the character, the acting was woeful on his part, the girl was incredibly annoying, Ben Kingsley admittedly was good but after about 2 hours I didn't care. I just found it so, incredibly boring. Its the only film I've been so bored in I wanted to leave. I love film history, I love the films of Georges M

where is Drive? Hugo should have gotten nominated for nothing, its fucking shit. Wouldn't have minded a 50/50 nomination somewhere. Hope Chico and Rita gets the animated Oscar and I'm glad Moneyball got some love. Meh to them all. I assume The Artist is gonna win all in its path anyway and it prob deserves it!
Really want to see The Descendants and War Horse now

Does anyone remember Jeff Jarrett the Political Commentator run in 1998. I bloody don't!
I have no recollection of that. I reckon it could have been good. I'd love to see some more political commentator type stuff in wrestling.

Two episodes into Homeland, intrigued and hoping for good stuff to come.
plenty of good stuff to come, I've just finished episode 6...i'm hooked.

Whale Rider is on BBC2 right now, well worth a watch.

When I was a kid I did actually think that all cats were female and all dogs were male.
My sister still thinks that, and she’s in her 20s.
I can understand the line of thought though. Dogs are up for jumping in mud puddles and fighting, cats pretend that they don’t have shits and then talk about you behind your back.
As for snakes, I watched this dead smart documentary on one of the Discovery channels a while ago about a woman who fell in love with snakes. “Fatal attractions” it was called. She became completely alienated from humans and started to think the snakes loved her back. One day, in her trailer park home, she let the pure venomous ones roam free while she cleaned the tanks. She got bit, and rather than seeking help (which she knew would lead to the execution of the snake by authorities) she just sat there and waited to die. That’s how much she loved snakes, she died of it. When they found her they killed all the snakes anyway.
Let that be a lesson to all you little snake charmers.
bobbinsEpic.
burst out laughing when i read that. Good times. I'm allergic to Cats anyway, but dogs are so much cooler.

ugh.
I hate trailers that use songs from other, no doubt better films. And also they used Baba O'Riley, fuck off.

Tonight on BBC4, Jonathan Meades has a three parter on France starting. I love his stuff, he is one of the few genuine intellects presenting on TV. The programme is on at nine if you're interested.
Cheers for that, would have passed me by if i hadn't seen it here.
Just finished with episode 3 of the Story of Musicals, highly recommended. Also the BBCs Iplayer volume goes up to 11, I've only just noticed that.

I didn't really explain my post properly.
I meant the first one under the World Wrestling Entertainment in 2002.
apologies, really should have read that question over!

Am I a bit late to the party with Homeland? Just watched the first episode and really liked it (apart from his stupid daughter) I'm liking this dynamic and the cast.
Can we get Damian Lewis in proper movies already? I feel I've been emotionally attached since Band of Brothers. Also glad Morena Baccarin has found some fame (Firefly ) with this. Of course Inigo Montoya himself seals the deal. Swish.
Can anyone recommend American Horror Story? Whats it like, is it scary and is it worth my time? Also almost done with Season 3 of Mad Men, one more episode to go, and expecting a great finale, then onto Season 4 and no doubt VIETNAM all over the show.

When was the first official WWE episode of RAW? I'm looking for it on a Warez and site and need the date. Cheers
Jan 11th, 1993...

Does anyone know how far in advance Impacr Zone tapings are announced? I'm actually going to Florida in June/July and will be at Universal Studios, so I'd like to see if/when Impact's going to be taped and try and work round that, so I can go see an Impact taping. Even better if there's a PPV going on then. I feel there's been a lack of "STING 4 NXT" signs that needs addressed.
Also, is Anderson injured? I mean, I fucking hate the guy, but I just noticed he's been non-existant for the past while. I'm loving it, but was just curious about why he's absent.
they usually have a list up on the website a few months in advance you could check there!
I have no idea about Anderson, I'm really glad I haven't seen him as I hate him too, but the fact that he might just turn up at some point and challenge for the Title scares me

She is smokin' hot. I do worry though that if I ever went out with her she'd be just like her character in 500 Days of Summer though

prob have a tumbleweed roll pass after I post this, but has anybody been watching The Story of Musicals on BBC4? Eiposde 2 (out of 3) just aired and I thought it was fantastic, well worth watching.

I remember in a discussion about the film Zodiac, some people on here were talking about having read some of the books written about the subject. Just wondering on what people would recommend (Have just watched the film for third time and it is just as good as I remember, possibly my favorite Fincher film and the documentary about the killings I watched was really good).
I've only ever read the Zodiac book thats by Robert Graysmith himself, for days I was just as obsessed about it as he is in the film, haven't read any other books about it though, but yeah get the one written by Graysmith, its prob all you need.

Woyzeck, what about True Grit and We Need To Talk About Kevin? Didn't see them or just didn't rate them?
True Grit was last year, and I didn't see the other one.
this is the UKFF, True Grit was this year over here you big Yank!

Onto Season Two of Mad Men now, and really really enjoying it. Last episode I watched was 'A Night To Remember' and i thought it was fantastic, finally I am starting to see shades to Joans character who I absolutely hated up until this point, Betty becomes way better too and I am really intruiged by her relationship with Don and her own self. Also the slow unravelling of Don is amazing, like in 'The Gold Violin' SPOILER - Highlight the black box to read
"You're not Don Draper"
gave me chills.
add me to the list of people gutted about Bored To Death being cancelled, loved it

Whoa. Again really should have voted. My Neighbour Totoro is up there for me as one of the best animated films ever. I always flip flop between Spirited Away and this as my favourite film of Ghibli.
