  1. I tell you what, i'm not sure I can think of another industry with such a high ratio of all out head the balls. Maybe football in some cases, but you always tend to get lone bellends rather than an entire hierarchy of mad, paranoid rotters. Even those grim factories that have people just shoving meat into boxes sound like more pleasant places to work.

  2. re: Davey - he really needs to sort out those fucking tattoos. I'm trying to think of somebody with comparable outright 100% fucking rubbish tattoos to have ever made it into WWE and I think the closest might be that guy with the acid house haircut who had a pair of massive pair of wings just above his arse

The only guy with massive wings above his arse i can think of is Bray Wyatt, cant be who you mean though right? As for other shit ink, Mr Kennedy had some real shit ink.

Turns out I was thinking of Vance Archer!

  3. Those first four tracks from Son Of My Father are unbeatable, for me. Not that there's anything wrong with the rest of the record, it's probably my favourite Moroder LP, but that run of tracks is just perfect. Plus, fucking Tears at the end is just amazing. Imagine writing that in 1972! it's fucking ridiculous. I was amazed to see it's finally being reissued next month for the first time on CD, and it's first release since 1972.

  4. His stories on PCO paint him out to be a proper brilliant bloke. Wasn't aware that PCO and Steen had worked a lot in the mid-2000s. Which I'm going to have to dig out. He also talks about Sid Justice, who was at one of their shows in Canada. Sid is a headcase according to this.

Fuck, yeah. As much as I love that 225 pounds of shit tale, the highlight for me of the whole Sid section of the shoot was Sid shitting over all the good will and general vibe from the crowd toward himself by cutting a 25 minute post match promo about how these two water jugs he'd taped together were his key to unlocking time travel, and Steen finding out via an online interview after it that it might have been some Dada-esque performance art from Sid to try and get heat as a way to test the waters for the magical time travel routine should he ever make it back to the WWE

  5. It's amazing to think gigs like that NOFX show happened up north at some point, and in such smoky little toilet venues. Most punks of a certain age up here will all tell you about the time they saw Green Day at Wigan Cricket Club. It seems stupid to lament and get nostalgic about gigs you were too young to see or go to, but it puts having to see bands like that in either a fucking O2 with overpriced Carling or an arena with one northern date if you're lucky.

  6. I've always wondered about this - that montage of promos on the Self Destruction Of The Ultimate Warrior DVD with Warrior ranting at the moon in front of his own background has always amused me and i'm wondering where they came from? I'm not after anything as specific as actual dates (though they would be helpful) but if anyone recognises them i'd be really interested to know what shows they came from.

I've always thought SNME opening montages or Superstars, but having never really seen any of those shows extensively I can't be too sure. Anyone able to help?

  7. I started watching wrestling after a break in mid 1997 and one of the first things I remember about it is a promo from Bret Hart in a wheelchair talking to Shawn Michaels in the middle of the ring, that ended with a superkick to Bret, and extra footage on Live Wire soon after. Does anyone remember the date of this particular moment?

  8. Did The Ultimate Warrior cut promos or get interviewed at any of these PPV's (or TV show in the case of Royal Rumble 88, if you want) -

    Summerslam 89, 90, 91

    Wrestlemania 5 & 7

    Survivor Series 88, 89, 91, 92

    Royal Rumble 88, 89, 91

I don't have any of these events nearby to check myself, any help greatly appreciated.

At Royal Rumble 91, he came out for an interview segment with Sherri/Mene Gene, where Sherri tried to talk him into giving Savage a title shot at a later date. After rejecting Sherri's advances and turning her and Savage down, Savage then cost Warrior the belt later on that night.

Cheers, done a bit of research and the list now looks like -

    Summerslam 90, 91

    Survivor Series 88, 89, 91, 92

I know Sid and Slaughter got interviewed at Summerslam 90 but can't find owt with Hogan and Warrior.
