  1. Combine ACAB with ATAC and this is what you get.

Priti Patel has no emotion about anything, just  a keen eye for anything which speaking out on will gain her political points. She’s an abhorrent being and that should never be forgotten no matter how humanitarian her stance on a subject may appear.

  2. Why are you arguing with yourself? Any case it’s not true, it was a quip made by one of the project owners about how it was financially supported by the booming cotton trade at the time. Over time it’s become a literal myth.

  3. Turtles was 89, it was Turtles in Time that came out 91.

X-Men although out in 92 was based on the Kitty Pryde cartoon series which is why the costumes make it look older than it was. The classic x-men cartoon came later in 92.

  4. FFVII: Intergrade is the name of the enhanced PS5 version and is a free upgrade for anyone who has purchased the PS4 version. The PS Plus rumoured free copy will not be able to be upgraded to the new PS5 version. The Yuffie DLC is not free and can only be purchased by anyone who has upgraded to the PS5 version, it is not available for anyone still on the PS4 version.

I’m a sea shanty hipster. Tiktok is for Johnny Come Latelys. Assassins Creed Black Flag is for the REAL fans.

Those lads were upset about them being a meme. https://thetab.com/uk/2020/06/10/we-spoke-to-the-boys-in-this-picture-and-theyve-had-enough-of-your-jokes-161026

Hah, ‘real’ fans played Sid Meier's Pirates! and spent 3 hours fiddling with their config.sys to get it working beforehand.

They look like a bunch of fucking dickheads.. No surprise they're in front of an all bar one. Are they some kind of meme on the basis of what a bunch of knobs they are?

That's a really convincing video though - it really looks like they're singing the song. The guys who actually sing it (the Longest Johns) did a cool thing where they logged into the pirate game Sea of Thieves and sang sea shanties down the mic to other random people on their boats in the game.

It’s not The Longest Johns, although they did record it as well. It’s a guy from Airdie who started off the trend on TikTok. I promise I only know this because of a BBC article, I’m far too old for that malarkey.

Also yes they look like absolute bells, I’m betting they all work in construction.

  7. Advice for quest users, if you can have a wireless streaming setup from your pc then I would recommend buying beat saber on steam rather than quest, simply for the ability to mod and add songs to the library. Really good fun and it’s helped get both my girls and my wife into vr as well.

How are you enjoying your VR? I bought an Oculus Rift S in a moment of madness and I'm loving it so far. I've got Superhot VR, Creed and Half Life Alyx, which are all great, but the things I've probably enjoyed the most are the free Google Earth app and Bigscreen, where I've been watching wrestling on a virtual cinema screen.

Maybe we should have a separate VR thread.

Really enjoying it, both the quest specific software and the ability to hook it up with the pc and play rift/steam vr games as well is a great addition. I’ve got it running as a pc headset wirelessly, needs a bit of tweaking still but it’s already pretty seamless. Means I (and the kids) can play the likes of beat saber, etc in the living room where I’ve got the space as opposed to being tethered to the pc which is in our bedroom.

Bigroom and Netflix etc have been an unexpected surprise, it’s amazing how you can get that sense of scale similar to a theatre even though it’s just a tiny screen attached to your head. I’ve not spent too much time trying to set it up with my own media server but what I have seen is great.

  9. Superhot is definitely on the list to get, the good thing with a lot of the quest games is that they work on their own in the headset, but you also get cross-buy with the rift version so you can plug the quest into your PC and play that version with better graphics as well.

Will pick up the pixel ripped games, there's a bundle for both versions on the store just now - cheers for the heads up I don't think I'd have found those browsing
