That was so much fun!
Ospreay isn't walking out of Forbidden Door as a two times champion. But I can see a rematch at All In happening already.Chris Daniels has been there since the beginning, and yet still managed to announce a match for Friday Night Dynamite not Rampage. FGS Chris.
I didn't think originally it was a mess up, don't they sometimes change Dynamite around based off the NBA playoffs?

Drew losing twice at Clash at the Castle including once in his home country isn't happening surely? Even if he is supposed to get booed as a bad guy.
I really think his and Preists match will be a throwaway on RAW where Punk interrupts and he gets so mad about it he demands a match at the Castle versus him. A win over a not 100% Punk won't hurt Punk's momentum going forward but could do wonders leading into Drew winning Money in the Bank the following event, the same briefcase that has screwed him twice.
Gunther absolutely should take the Crown and then the title at SummerSlam, especially with Berlin after that, because WWE knows no difference between Austria and Germany and in fairness Gunther made his name in WXW. Another hero's welcome, give the people what they want.
From there you can have Bloodline civil war at Survivor Series, Drew stealing the belt from Cody with the briefcase and that rematch happening at next year's Mania, one of Rollins and Punk wins the Rumble, the other beats Gunther for the belt and they get their match finally and Rock and Roman get to do their 1 versus 1 after all.
Admittedly this idea misses out Rock and Cody completely unless they do that at the Rumble or SummerSlam (Roman returns to set up the civil war?) but all in all the fact none of this could happen and completely switch up makes WWE bloody exciting for the next year.

Thought the Jade result was the right call, no need to kill momentum or have her vs Belair used straight away on free tv, just her over zealous and still being quite new getting the better of her causing a DQ.
Lyra vs Nia seems like it wouldn't work on paper without falling apart a bit but at the same time Lyra coming out of it as a giant killer gives Becky her next challenger too.

"he's too large to be wearing a floral pattern" somehow is my top moment of the year so far. Bloody brilliant, really want Shibata to use that calm translate voice to tell Jericho he's going to kick his head in.

Was Dino Bravos connection to the Underworld through wrestling? I'm sure I read he ended up in with a dangerous couple of years that ended up with him winding up dead

In amlngst all discussion about Meltzer's star rating system in the AEW threads, Maxxine Dupris kip up after the fisherman suplex is up there with a full 7 thumbs up. The pure "yeah bitch, I did that" look on her face after was picture perfect.
I now believe in Coach Gable.

I'm really looking to try and get back into American Sports this year just as I'm always looking for more knowledge in things and things to watch.
A mate tried to get me into the Blue Jays a few years back when he moved to Ontario as he knew I could feed him the info he needed to learn for the now ex wifes family, but I was too busy doing Uni stuff to really take a great interest myself. I tried to get into the Mets being not the Yankees and being a New York Jets football fan but even that didnt do it.
I guess I'll be making my choice on a team to follow by places I eventually want to visit or which logo looks the coolest.

Does this mean Cool Hand now graduates to become Daddy Magic Jr?

All I could think of during Sheamus' match was that it felt like a real life version of Randy Marsh vs Batdad at the kids baseball in South Park.
2 big guys in their pants having a punch up after being on the beers all day.
I know he's been off with a serious injury but if he's coming back in that shape, he probably should have kept the vest, braces and bottoms.

With that line up sitting down will only ever inevitably lead to falling asleep to lo-fi beats so I send you my best wishes.
Tempted to go see Pierce The Veil Friday but I both have a 10am start Saturday morning and I'm finding going to gigs by myself rubbish recently when they involve travel and the likes.

There's way too many posts to trail through, but I actually loved Irvin getting emotional over the weekend. It really didn't seem forced to me and played off as genuine, she seems like a fan, she seems like she is genuinely close to a lot of the wrestlers.
Michael Cole getting emotional talking about how long he's known Cody and how much he loves wrestling is up there too.
Honestly it was overall a bloody brilliant weekend of moments and I'm excited to see RAW tonight and honestly I didn't feel that way 12 months ago after last year's WrestleMania.

I'll get started on that from the PLE onwards then. NXT is a favourite of mine just because its that rise and shine of newer, future talent so it'll be fun to actually chat about it as none of my friend group really are into their wrestling anymore.
-
I'm pretty sure they're gonna turn Willow heel on Mercedes, with TK thinking he needs to have his big, very expensive signing be the face of the women's division on TV, both figurative and literal.
Not saying its the right decision at all because its absolutely not, but the way they're booking some aspects at the moment it's like Stokely turning her over to the evil side to stop Mone feels like a possible outcome.

I came into post last week after Ridge Holland's "retirement" to see where people thought the angle was going but saw there had hardly been any chat for time, took me a while to even find the thread.
I watch NXT on the weekly but don't thknk show reviews from me would add any viewers from the forum to the show the way other much more articulate posters could.
The North American title match at the next PLE has all the makings of three huge lads leathering each other though so I'd recommend checking that out if you've a spare 20 or so after the event happens.
TNA… Cross the Line again

Robert Evans, who has been one of the key members of creative resigns and they have absolutely nothing booked past 2 days in August that will probably make 6-8 weeks of TV until September.
WWE going into a "working relationship" again, speculation of workers from NXT being on TNA PPVs and a product that is plodding along, I wouldn't be surprised if the WWE to buy the archive and company rumours don't start up by Monday morning.
