Richard Ayoade.
Something about him just seems smug as hell, but he's just so endearingly wonderful and funny that I can overlook it as jealousy at how smart he actually is.

Cannot for the life of me remember how to embed YouTube videos in here. Never mind.

One of my all time highlights was when Paramores sound system and lighting failed at Reading (maybe 2013?) and they performed The Only Exception with just an acoustic guitar and two microphones. Was absolutely incredible to be a part of and just having pretty much purely her voice was spell binding.

Dolores O'Riordan - The most spectacular voice and story teller, as soon as I saw this thread I knew she'd be the first name to pop into my head. Zombie and Linger are two of my all time favourite songs to just lose myself for a few moments to.
Derek Sanders - for those who weren't an awkward emo teen in the 2000s this is the lead singer of Mayday Parade. An artist that can make me cry on cue with how delicate his tone is on some of their even sadder songs.
Dan "Soupy" Campbell - lead of the Wonder Years but this is more for his solo work as Aaron West and the Roaring Twenties. A character project where he writes and performs from the guise of Aaron West and talks of marriage, growing up, divorce and sadness, I caught him live doing this for the first time at 2000 Trees this summer and for how much Wonder Years can make me go mad, dance and love every second, he broke me within 3 minutes and ended up with myself and a friend having to support each other from how much emotion we had. Honestly incredible.

Carmelo Owens will make sure I watch wrestling in the morning. Interesting to see what dynamic they take with Lashley and Santos as well, unless I've missed them turning Lashley face again already.
For a Christmas edition, it's not that bad. Easy watching in the background when people have other priorities that weekend kind of thing. At least they're progressing storylines and it's not just a holiday special.

I'm honestly atrocious this season but it's endearingly funny for me to stress on a Monday morning about how close I was on most games.
I've never seen so many games where I've given the opposition the benefit of the doubt they'll score and it comes away with a clean sheet.

I really want to get behind Ivy Nile as an underdog Vs Rhea, because she has that sort of secret strength and tenacity (as shown last night and through the groups Instagram's and such) to be a viable threat.
But she looks like she's about to cry every time she steps forward to Rhea, I thought something was off last week and couldn't place it, but again last night at times she looks ready to bawl her eyes out as she's battering you.
A bit of work with the coaches on characterisation and facial expression and she's got a lot of potential.
Gunther still continues to be my favourite thing in wrestling at the moment.
The women's tag division continues to be a chaotic but fun mess too. The new champs have had less than 10 matches together (maybe even in singles) on the main roster but through winning 2 in a row got the titles, where the main viable threat are already on SmackDown and should realistically be the next challengers but don't really have any full time tag teams to go up against on their show to have a number 1 contenders match.
Rare chance I got to watch Raw live but I really did enjoy it overall. I'm nowhere near as able to talk about it week to week as people in here but reading all the feedback each week made me decide to catch that instead of watching 3 hours of Law and Order and it was a well made decision.

A really early announcement of next years entrant. Olly Alexander is a superb choice. They've already said its not a ballad, hopefully it will really play to his strengths. A great choice though.
Have to agree 100%, this has the possibility of going down the Sam Ryder lane of being a dance banger and having a credible name with reputation behind them where they're performances are up there with Eurovisions typical theatrics could perform very well overall.

Decided to take a risk as I felt it was too good to miss and have booked tickets for Amity Affliction in Cardiff tomorrow night.
Excited to be honest but going by myself I'm expecting to be towards the back/sides unless I can sort out the disabled viewing area, but all the same nice to be back at a live gig.

Teaching Zephaniah's work whenever a poetry module came up was one of my favourite days/weeks of the year because the passion he exuded and expressed was so powerful and it always seemed to resonate with my students.
One of the finest voices of his generation.

Haha OK I just watched that about ten times. Superb.
It's lovely to see comments on the Youtube and Twitter clips from this story from lapsed fans who have had their interest piqued by it. Even if they weren't doing such a stellar job with it, if you're a wrestling fan of a certain age, seeing these two working together again after all these years should mean something to you. As has been said on here many times, AEW at its best is a celebration of Pro Wrestling, WWF/E included. It's a shame the tribalism will stop a lot of people watching this who would love it if they allowed themselves to.
So I was in the pub last night and there was a group of ladies out on a work Christmas do. AEW was playing in the background and I've never been more amazed by a group of 30/40 year old women being so invested as one of them explained what was happening, how they had both retired from injuries, everyone expected this dream homecoming as a team but ones become a deranged lunatic and the other the world's greatest foster dad.
This storyline has anyone watching invested.

The Irn Bru Xtra limited edition flavours just are a bit too off-putting for my taste buds.
But then my love for original Irn Bru has people buying me the glass bottles as Christmas secret Santa presents, shipping litres of the stuff with me for every festival and me having an Irn Bru tattoo.
Of all my hyper fixations this is both the healthiest and unhealthiest one I have.

Its a good fit to be honest. They have some name value to them, are talented and work better with smaller more passionate crowds about the product. Always felt they'd be swallowed up by the bigger WWE shows as they haven't the outward confidence of say Pretty Deadly, but them with the likes of Subculture, Rascalz, ABC etc makes for a really good division on the relaunch.
