Wrestling fans are weird. Can you imagine people commenting on the clothes in any other type of entertainment show (Gok Wan aside).

More people moan when a new kit comes out for their team than in wrestling. Happens all the time in films as well. Look at the new Ghostbusters film. Aside from being women, the main talking point is how shit the proton packs and the suits are. If the Terminator wore a blue anorak, the poster isnt going to look nearly as cool. Anytime you market a show as this larger than life thing, the way people look is always going to be talked about. The look is half the appeal.

I am obviously having smoke blown up my arse here, but someone has just told me that the if played backwards it says "I buried Paul", which apparently relates to the "fact" that the original Paul McCartney of the Beatles died when being hit by a bus and was replaced in the band by the Paul McCartney we now all know and love. I've been really impressed with Emma recently. If they have no plans for Becky being near the title in the near future then I have no problem with Emma going over her to build her up a bit.

So is Vince going to announce the brand split again on Sunday? Putting Shane and Steph/authority in charge of a show each? Seems that way, but I'm not sure who gets what show. Shane on Raw and Steph on Smackdown would be the freshest I suppose.

I love the Big Guy, but I feel they are now very close to the point of no return for him. I hope the current situation with him is part of a bigger story of him coming back with a major beef and just destroying people out of sheer frustration. Don't let shit heads like Kalisto ever beat him again!

Appollo Crews is pretty lame isnt he? Looks like a cross between a juiced up Floyd Mayweather and Timothy Bradley. NXT is really producing some dross other than Enzo.

 

Don't get me wrong, Enzo is great on the Mic, but he is hardly the be all and end all. Even looking at his tag team, I would was in the long run Big Cas will be more successful.

 

Do you honestly think Gable & Jordon are dross? Bayley? Asuka? Balor?

 

How about the people already brought up from NXT? Rollins, Reigns, Ambrose, Charlotte, Paige, Becky Lynch, Banks, Wyatt, Harper, Emma, Kalisto, Kevin Owens, Big E, Rusev, Lana, Neville, Breeze, Woods.........All Dross

 

Even people that will hardly set the world on fire such as Rowan, Vaudvillains, Dallas etc.. have their place on the card and all have positive attributes that help them out.

 

then you have the likes of Corbin & Crews who at this point could either fail dramatically or succeed. I personally could see one or both of them going on to be big players in the years to come. As soon as Crews finds that little spark that he needs there may be no stopping him. Think Bland babyface Cena before he knocked out a rap on the Smackdown bus.

I always though Regal was a terrible boring worker - he walks like a chicken and everything he does is slow & awkward. Great character though - just always found his matches shit.

When you think about how different the company was between WM7 and WM17 though its a completely different world. 2006 to 2016 doesn't seem that different in my eyes and the time has just flown. Probably because I'm old though!

Well if Raw is already selling well, putting solely on Smackdown would mean people would go to that purely for Taker. If he's on RAW too then you wouldn't go to Smackdown to see him if it was a big selling point.

The big positive about a split for me would be that guys like Ryback, Cesaro, Harper etc... Could be given a chance in the main event of Smackdown at least. Let them actually see if they will float or sink and stop all the fans getting on their backs to give them a chance.

So with the brand split rumoured to be coming back, what's everyone's thoughts? I'd be happy to see it back personally. As long as the still only the one Heavyweight champ though.
