  1. Eggington vs Cheesman was tons of fun. I scored it a draw. I think it was quite clear that most the early rounds went to Cheeseman and most of the late rounds went Eggington. I can see why Cheeseman got the nod though. He did briefly stun Eggington in one of the later rounds (I forget which) and another of the later rounds was pretty tight as well.
  2. Breen seems to think that the UFC's 205lbs division has a lot of potential - https://www.bloodyelbow.com/2020/7/31/21349315/middleweights-slow-steady-and-strange-journey-into-the-mma-spotlight Given that he watches every UFC show and tracks the progress of its Light Heavyweight's prospects, I find his take quite uplifting. I find that Breen is right more than he is wrong.
  3. Looking forward to this tomorrow. I haven't been watching Warren' shows or the shows in the US, so this will be my first boxing card in months! It's a nice little domestic card.
  4. I'm not sure about Miocic. But I would pick Jones to beat Ngannou. I like Big Francis, and while I don't think he's a bum, I still have a sinking feeling that his recent resurgence says just as much about how crap Heavyweight MMA is as it does his own personal improvement.
  5. Paulie Malignaggi has been sacked by Showtime. Apparently he made some dodgy comments on IFL a few months ago about racism. IFL have since removed the video, so I am not sure what he actually said. Regardless, Paulie's fall from grace has been sad to see. He used to be one of my favourite characters in boxing.
  6. Btw, Usyk vs Del Boy looks to be happening in October now. I have a massive soft spot for Del Boy, but he's going to get wrecked. Usyk is for my money the best boxer on the planet, and I don't think he'll struggle with the move to heavyweight as badly as some think. I'd pick Fury to beat him, that's about it.
  7. Borics vs Campos has been added to the August 7th show btw.
  8. Pretty big. Barring Khabib vs Gaethje, it's probably the MMA fight I want to see most. Even if Miocic is possibly past his prime.
  9. Nope. He later fought in Elite XC where he was disqualified for not getting up from the butt scoot position - https://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Nick-Serra-3225 πŸ˜ƒ
  10. From Sherdog: Can't wait for that one. WAR NEMKOV! (sorry Bader) Amosov vs Fitch is rumoured for that card as well.
  11. As far as I am aware, they are still on very good terms. Longo has his MMA gym and Serra has his own BJJ academy - both in the New York area. But they seemingly come together to corner certain fighters, such as Aljamain Sterling. Serra did fall out with his brother though - https://www.bjjee.com/articles/matt-serras-exiled-brother-emerges-allegations-unseemly-behaviour-17-year-old/
  12. Aye, it gets forgotten how impressive Weidman was against Anderson and Machida. The Machida win in particular is very underrated. Machida was at the tail-end of his prime and a very tricky match-up. I really hope he can resurrect his career.
  13. @Egg Shen @wandshogun09 Why didn't you watch Bellator last weekend? You are making me look like a right friendless fuck. πŸ˜‰
  14. I'm interested in the main event and Millender's fight. The rest doesn't interest me so much.
  15. I like Big John a great deal, but he doesn't half talk bollocks from time to time.
  16. Card for the next show on August 7th: Meh.
  17. Aye, bloody jobber. Couture would have spanked him in 2005. πŸ˜‰
  18. Interesting that 10/20 media journalists scored the main event in Till's favour - http://www.mmadecisions.com/decision/11172/Robert-Whittaker-vs-Darren-Till I guess you could make the argument that Till won rounds 1,4 and 5. But personally, I had Whittaker winning everything other than round 1.
  19. Most of the moaning I have seen has been about Dean not stopping it soon enough. Dan Hardy gave Dean a right bollocking:
  20. Really enjoyed the main event. Chuffed with the result as well.
