  1. Current day Dynamite on Japanese TV show "Another Stories". He living in a nursing home now. I know he was a bit of a cunt, but fucking hell he's suffered over the years the poor sod.

He has, some may say Kama but then again don't know him personally so won't judge!

Its crazy its been 20 years since he hung them up and was only 36/37 (2 years younger than AJ is when he landed in WWE and the 'big run').

Given his previous 'high performance' physicality to this, I'd be well bitter to!

  2. I think that's defo the case.

230 is big now but was almost cruise'esque back in the day.

That said always loved his physique. Athletic and looked good. From about 88-99 his body seemed to stay exactly the same! Right mix of size and athleticism for longevity!

I'd love to have seen a peak Bret vs Angle. What a match thatd have been!

  3.

Some of my faves from those tapes were

Paul Bearer doing a skit in funeral home, classic line : "here's what i made for my school project........a guillotine!" His delivery is hilarious:

Sherri Martel doing makeup on a fan and royally taking the piss (can I admit now I totally had a thing for Sherri)

Heenan and Monsoon on the golf course featuring some brilliantly blatant Heenan cheating!

Wrestling was so much fun back then!

  4.

He is for me the definition of the term 'idiot'.

A guy who litterally has had every opportunity to become a star, carry on family name and make millions - gow many thousand of 'would be' young wrestlers would have sold their soul for a 1/8th (pun intended) of his opportunities but will never get them??

He'll be banged up for along time by the time hes 45, dead or skint as f**k and homeless.

He can get away with it now as hes still relatively young and the Hart name has some resonance still. Come 45-50. No chance!

  5.

The art is to make it look legit as f**k whilst hurting you out yourself. Thats the art.

Smashing yourself to absolute gash shows absolutely no understanding of it other than

    A)trying to prove something

    Or

    B) you think its real

Even though i hate him i guess a MASSIVE path to follow is Jericho.

Wrestles a style he can probably do till 60 (exc flip), not juiced to the gills, no history of bad injuries. Not hurting himself or anyone and looks healhier and moves better than alotnof guys 15 years younger.

To me hes always screamed midcard and had the charisma of a nat and yet hes been a huge star in wcw and wwe. Was first undisputed champion. Has earnt a fortune, has taken adequate breaks, has had his wrestlemania moments and can probably dip.in and out making big $$ for short runs till hes 50 and then have his HOF last wm match.

Really is the blueprint for anyone sub 6-2 & 250lbs who wants a long and profitable career!

  6. He doesnt blow both his quads. He tears one and then like a thick cunt, he tries to no sell it in the car park by walking to his jet and tears the other one. Instead of going to the hospital, like a normal person would.

Sorry Ian didnt realise. Thought he blew them diving in

Only has himself to blame. Was probably trying to out 'alpha' HHH with a 'this lil thing affected you, look im fine' mentality.

  7.

Say what you want about Vince (and lets be honest theres massive amounts) but you cant fault his -'keep it going' mentality. Runs to the ring and blows both quads, in his 60s and live on PPV and rather than basically lay there screaming (like most would) in agony. He 'no sells it' an does the promo on the floor!

  8.

I assume this was another occassion whereby Orndoff rinsed Vader in WcW??

Old Orndoff by all accounts was abit of a handy b****d wasnt he? Wasnt there a story whereby Dynamite Kidd got a hiding off him or something?? Basically acted like a c**t insulted his arm atrophy and then got a hiding?

  9. Does anything sum up the death of the boom period in this country quite like the WWF section of the 1993 Christmas Argos catalogue? The state of this.

    20as283.png

I was 13 then. WWF really seemed to diebiver here then! Those pics r such a piss poor representation of wrestling. It basically looks like an accountant, indian and the bad guy from Live and Let Die! They were hardly going to fly off the shelves were they??

  10.

Top rope leg drops. For this case, we'll go with Fandango. When Fandango misses it, he sells it like death, yet it's the same impact to his arse and heels wether he hits the move or not. Annoys the shite out of me. A stupid move, even worse as a finisher.

You do realise that a leg drop isn't meant to be him landing on his arse and heels? The move is supposed to be him dropping his leg over their throat which means when your arse hits the mat, the impact is dramatically reduced. If he's not there, then your arse is taking all the impact. The logic behind a properly executed leg drop is fine and I think you mean that you don't like poorly executed versions such as Fandango's.

Bobby Eatons was a thing of beauty!

  11. Bret's been telling that Warrior story for a decade, he must be the only person in the world that believes it was ever going to happen. If him and Warrior had been booked at Rumble '93, either Jim was going home with the belt or they were doing a shitty double count-out.

have to agree. didnt Warrior have something silly like only 1 clean pinfall loss (un televised) and about 3 controversial losses in his career? no way would Warrior have submitted it went against everything his character stood for
