  1. Traore is shite, most Wolves fans love him because he can take a man on. The fact he predominantly does fuck all with it after taking them on means nothing to them.

It winds the fuck out of me and my old man though, the sooner he goes to Spurs for £40mil (Rumours, I'd take less) the sooner we can invest that into someone like Guedes, Ocampos or another similar type player.

We may have lost two so far, but our standard of football has improved ten fold, we're enjoyable to watch again. When the front line clicks we could be dangerous to go up against.

Also, if he loved Barcelona that much, he would surely have deferred even more wages to help them out.

I'm sure the bigger issue was that they let his contract expire, so he could have said he'd play for free next season. He wouldn't be allowed to as the dumb fuckers can't register new players till the wage bill is appropriate.

Messi's wages were also a weird point, as he generated more money than they were paying him, so he alone made financial sense. It is the case he as a player was worth more than the club.

Now the Messi revenues have gone, and the wage bill is still fucked, Barcelona are edging closer to shitdom, and when you assess how they've behaved for years now, I wholly agree, they fucking deserve it.

Griezmann may have been the deal to begin the tip over the edge.

I do expect a huge amount of players to move for cut down prices before this window, but they'll be the players on not so good money. Your Umtiti's of the world, who are on staggering wages will remain to bleed them dry and get that money they were promised, which is fair in my opinion.

  3. Isn't it the point that Barca can't register any of their recent free signings for La Liga until their wage bill gets slashed even after Messi, who technically wasn't on the wage bill when last season came to a close.

Aguero, Depay and a few others will need to look to move if they want to actually play.

The Vultures must surely be circling that club for cut price deals and steals.

Luke Shaw master class in the Stadio Olimpico. I hope he writes "That was for you Jose you cunt" on the toilet wall before he leaves.

People have been waxing lyrical of Grealish's little cameos, but Shaw has been just as instrumental on that side in each of Greasy's efforts. He's been one of our players of the tourney.

I've been to a couple over the past few years and they aren't like normal football matches I've attended. They're really family-friendly occasions. Barely any chanting, loads of kids with their parents. Absolutely ideal for me as I take my kids. Would highly recommend it for anyone looking to take their family. For those wanting an old school terrace experience, you'll hate it.

I think you get the stereotypical 'Ingerland' fans at major tournaments mostly, perhaps big away qualifiers too.

I think I was in the thick of 'that lot' the bleeding trumpets were about 12 feet behind us and the IRA chants were in full flow throughout.

Maybe the England on tour aspect brought the dickheads out.

  6. Has anyone ever been to an England game?

I only bring it up as it's something Adam McKola mentioned recently, that when he attended he felt he didn't fit in, and it struck a chord.

I saw England play Spain off the park with Chris Powell marking prime Mendieta out the game for 45 minutes at Villa Park for Eriksson's first game and both me and my old man got an overwhelming urge that we didn't fit into the crowd dynamic that was there that day. Just something about it all.

    Anyone else experienced this?

I felt more at ease amongst Brazilians and Swedes during the Umbro Cup game in 96.

It was a good time to leave though, his stock is still high enough to get another good job.

He didn't leave ... He was sacked, but yes it suits both parties in a way. Although you see those he was rumoured to go to, especially Everton and Spurs, and they've opposed the idea because they only remember that awful football Nuno served up last year.

I thought Nuno was a top manager in the making but he transformed in to Roy Hodgson this season. Obviously having your top striker out doesn’t help but they have some exciting attacking players.

He is a top manager though, and last season was hugely affected by the loss of not only Raul, but Jonny too and also Boly suffering from Long Covid. We were in and about the top six and playing really well until that thug purposely headbutted Jimenez's skull in two.

He was apparently affected by not having his family all season as they stay in Portugal and neither could visit the other.

I feel sorry for Nuno, he's just had his house build finished and just donated a quarter of a million to feeding Wolverhampton's poorer areas (imagine them!!!!) Then gets sacked.

I can see him getting the Portugal job.

the Fonseca appointment broke down when tax for his Roma role became an issue

Apparently with Fonseca transfer targets were agreed, preseason friendlies agreed and changes to the training ground were all ready to be implemented. Been rumoured that tax wasn't the issue, Spurs pulled out of the deal as Gatusso became available, and then that never even got off the ground.

Nuno's lurking though, and Spurs are on the Mendes carousel, they won't admit it, but they are.

  10. Remember that one year on FIFA and all you had to do was pass out wide and cross it in to score. Then, the next year the change to the match engine basically meant crossing was pointless, but it took a month to change your style.

Germany reminded me of playing games in that first few weeks of FIFA in that France game.

  11. Decent, professional overall performance that.

Kane had a bit of a shocker, just couldn't get into it, but that's a positive, as we really don't have to rely on him.

Move on to Scotland, can see a different side getting minutes in that game.

What are the chances of your lot accepting 59p a week for infinity and paying us £12m for a youngster again in exchange for Neto? He’s like a pound shop Suarez, I’d swap him for Origi and day of the week.

Neto was the reason we let Jota go, he's a far better player, more consistent and looks to have a greater potential than Diogo.

Fucking miss the aggressive little fucker though.

@PunkStep no point sprinting if you're letting the other team keep possession, and no point sprinting when you get the ball going forward because there's no actual threat up there. And it's all Luiz's fault.

Maybe they'll get a manager who will make them watchable.

    I fucking hope so.

I love Nuno and what he's done for us, but this season has been one long wade through footballing treacle. The football got increasingly slower and more defensive as seasons went on. He really is a student of Mourinho.

My heart wants Lopetegui, but can't see it happening, so my head wants Fonseca, who plays a similar style but is more forward thinking in his approaches to attack.
