That was as much zeitgeist as anything else. Cast your mind back to the time, the Tories were old, grey & tired whilst Blair was knocking about with Oasis, there was a genuine feeling of excitement as we rode the wave of 'Cool Britannia'. It was the first election I could vote in and the public mood was very different, people had hope.

The fundamental change in tack of Labour, as Blair, Brown, Mandelson, Campbell etc gripped the party and completely changed it's approach should never be ignored, the 'Cool Britannia' vibe definately helped, but it didn't really help draw in the Blue Rinse Brigade, and that draw was instrumental on the Landslide victory they got in 97.

  2. Jess Phillip has done some significant and valuable work for issue's with regards Domestic Violence. Her accent is only half decent, as it's a touch too southern and whiny compared to the wonderment of a Wulfrunian accent, or any encapsulated in the Black Country dialect.

I'm personally not a fan, as she was one of those continually opposed to Jezza, sorry Corbyn, from within the party.

Thiss is the tripe that's driving peoples voting choices, the rejection of 'wokeism'. Look at the reaction to Starmer supporting BLM? This is what people mean when they say 'Labour have abandoned the working classes' & are now the party of metropolitan 'luvvies'.

    Shit isn't it?

Exactly this! And as shit as it is it needs to happen to appeal to the electorate.

You don't have to turn your back on it completely, but dialling down the identity politics is now key to winning back seats. Or the party slowly dies like the Lib Dems have.

Sadly Labour can't see that, which is clear by the promotion of Jess Phillips. I hope she does well especially as she does good work and she's got a half decent accent.

But my Uncle Brian and Aunty Cath are genuinely  gonna be rolling their eyes, because they know what she stands for, and it's not the 'everyday working class family'.

And the biggest part of the that grooming was the perfecting of the Boris character via media such as HIGNFY.

The character was 'developed' from the late 90s, someone calling him Boris now will means dick. Being het up over such trivial shit is laughable and completely ignorant of what's really going here. As I said, at the moment it could have been any of the Tory fuckers in power getting results. Not because of game show panel turns, or charity football matches or hanging from a Zip Line or going on Letterman, it's because the Left need to wake the fuck up to what the electorate want and feel.

The sooner the left fuck off identity politics and concentrate on the fact vast swathes of just people are being treated like shit the better.

Bollocks. Had the persona of ‘Boris’ not been entertained from the start, he wouldn’t even be an MP. Regardless of feelings towards the left, the framing of this wanker matters. hEs DoInG hIs BeSt!!!

it matters everything what you call him.

Rubbish, he was groomed to be an MP and potential PM from school.

And at the moment, he could have as pompous a name as Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson and because of the huge disconnect the opposition has with electorate, it wouldn't fucking matter.

It would be a slight improvement on calling him Boris.

It doesn't mean fucking anything what you call him, you can be on your high horse of not calling him Boris all you want, it won't stop the I'll feeling of the nation to the political left at the moment.

The "loveable rogue of Boris" that the national fell for doesn't matter, Theresa May and David Cameron won an election. I reckon the snivvely odious cunt that is Gove would get in too.

The opposition is weak, flaccid in fact, it's in no way a representation of the electorate ... At all. The vast swathes of voters care not about what the Tory twat in charge is called or named in the media.

The opposition has step the fuck up, the left needs to get stronger, leave the liberal leanings to one side for a time on concentrate on how to affect the electorate to come round.

Labour is dead, as a member it's heart wrenching to watch.

  7. So what's needed here?

Is it a new Party, with left leaning centrist approach. Is it a left of centre but right of socialist (now a dirty word) party.

Or is it just a left wing party that doesn't go so far left when it comes to "liberal" views that clearly have no appeal to the working class families throughout the country?

I'm really struggling to see anyone in the Labour Party that offers strong opposition that would also appeal to the electorate any more. Starmer has shot his load and won't win shit as he's proven to be weak. But the whole party appears weak. It needs someone to grip it and openly call Boris a cunt.

Piers Morgan is the biggest of all the cocks, but if he were to offer opposition he'd have a better chance than anyone in the Labour Party.

That's where we are now isn't it? A left leaning centrist celebrity who'll openly call Boris a cock womble, that's our hope of ending this Brexit fist shaped grip on the country. Ugh.

Don't see why those things have to be mutually exclusive.

    Because the Cardiologist said so.

Less than 24 hours after having the Astrazennaca jab her heart rate soared to around 170 BPM and she was struggling to breath. When tested the increased heart rate was due to her blood clotting, advanced further by the heart beating faster. Quite the cycle. Blood thinners sorted it.

The Cardiologist wants her to be monitored the day before and up to a week after her receiving her second jab, incase there's a further spike in heart rate.

Keith, you'll be pleased to know her toes are fine.

It can cause blood clots and potentially kill though, or was my Mother's ambulance ride imaginary?

    Cooper's Levels you fucking morons.

Something my wife had trained in extensively in her role, and wanted to go further into before she dared to have children and was discriminated against because of her sex to the point she had to leave the Force due to potential loss of sight through Optic Neuritis brought about through stress.

I adore her passion in this field, and the education she's helped me receive through proxy.

But I'm a copper so somehow am on the side of rapists and murderers? Go fuck yourself. What cause that cunt who called himself police held a warrant card I'll be on his side? Fuck yourself some more.

You understand that before my career comes my wife and my two daughters? That's my real life, and I want safety, opportunity and what's best for them more than anything else on this planet?

No you don't because you're blinded by your ill educated prejudices.

It doesn't surprise me in the slightest to see you play the deflection game.

I am not deflecting anything, just pointing out that there is a thread on this very forum that labels women (or men) that are posted within it as "hotties" which can easily be construed as offensive and objectification.
