  1. I'm bemused, on watching Wandavision episode 5, every time it cuts to "reality" the audio turns to static, this static is inconsistent when rewound and watched again.

Is everyone getting this as I'm seeing nothing online about it.

EDIT: Problem fixed, I had to weirdly update my TV for the audio to work. However in sitcom land the audio was fine as it's not in whatever fancy stereo format the reality is in.

Not gonna lie, me and the wife went 5 minutes of static horrendousness before giving up, assuming it was part of the show!

  2. How the hell did I forgot Gatting!? An amazing player of spin, it's what made the Warne delivery even more special.

That performance today from both Sibley and Root was near perfect test match batting, I've been fuming like Boycott at the change in mindset of scoring runs rather than just staying in and letting the runs develop from there. Steve Smith does exactly that, he stays in first and foremost, and gets runs from the bowlers increased frustrations and tiredness. I'm quite pleased the mindset may be changing from when Ponting switched the Aussies to playing near one day cricket in the Test format.

  3. My eldest is currently going through the process of a PANS/PANDAS diagnosis, to get there a number of other conditions need to be ruled out.

She was referred to the local paediatric unit for Autism tests, she clearly isn't and only gets her episodes around times of ill health, but it needs to be elimated for the process to continue. The local paediatric unit have come back and claimed she's too old to be tested by them and she has to go through CAMHS. My wife's pissed as she claims this could now take years rather the weeks we were originally looking at. Is this true?

I couldn't really work out why it was a penalty (and I'm a Wolves fan!) I've watched it about 8/9 times now and still can't see where the contact was made. Arsenal got really unlucky with that as if that first half was anything to go by, it could've been a thumping.

He stands on his heel, which affects the run of Jose.

Keown was kicking off because Jose's heel hit Luiz's knee, it's the movement before that which is the foul.

The rules fucked him there, nothing the ref could really do. There's a number of rules that really need looking at and that as a red is one of them.

  5. Would love a North of England independence referendum, something that would reclaim a modicum of care and interest in the Midlands and the North of England would be well worth it.

My only problem with independence of the lesser nations (wink) is the rise of political parties in support. It's completely fractured the opposition, meaning Tory scum do hold more potential of winning every election.

Did you stop at the first sentence? Whether some are or not, not everyone is and you’ve completely ignored WHY some kids will still be sent in even if a or both parents are at home

No I haven't. You're just making an assumption that because I have highlighted that some parents are taking advantage, and that my personal experiences so far have highlighted and given evidence they are that I believe ALL kids/parents are.

    I don't.

And it was in defence of someone who got set up upon quite nastily for not having a fucking clue, whereas I have somewhat more of a clue and people ARE taking advantage, not all, but some and to quote Ralphy, for the sake of the health of teachers and the students your talking about "it's not on"

    Sounds a bit Daily Mail/whataboutary.

Yet it isn't, and discarding a potential problem in such a way isn't going to help solve it.

I know first hand, not from a shit rag paper, that people ARE taking advantage of schooling. It's not fair to the safety of teachers and other students. But then people are taking advantage all over the place as this lockdown is so fucking weak and pathetic.

Also worth noting that more people are being told they are key workers than in the first lockdown. So on the outside it may seem that one of the parents shouldn't need to work and common sense may dictate that but they are being told otherwise.

For example my friend is an electrician and during the first lockdown he stayed at home. He is now being told he is a key worker. I put my hand up to not fully understanding what's different but the key thing is he is being told he has to go to work.

They're not Key Workers, they're 'critical workers' which is the govts means to keep the country as open as possible even though they have said we're in a lockdown.

I was part of an operation for PPE delivery in Lockdown 1 and the roads were deserted, last week travelling to Notts all week they were rammed. This isn't a lockdown in any way shape or form, neither was the second one.

My grandma is 90 and has been told she's not priority, my wife's gran has had her second dose cancelled in line with the new approach... 🤷🏽

My 98 year old Grandad had his first dose, he decided to call up the GP to find out what was happening with his second and to what date it had been pushed back to.

His Doc told him they were ignoring Govt guidelines and maintaining the advice given by Pfizer. He's since had his second vaccination.

On the Ralphy and schools being used as babysitting services. It's happening at my kids school, I know of two kids where the dad is a key worker, the mother isn't, so they qualify. They're no longer a couple and live apart and mother doesn't work at all yet the kids are going to school because they can.

My sister is a primary school teacher and reports similar. Many schools an LEAs are actively looking at the criteria set and seeking to stop some children going to school where there are parents at home. The slack nature of this lockdown IS in places being taken advantage of by some.

  10. Does anyone remember around the time of Italia 90 Coca Cola released their amazing little footballs?

A bunch of players toured the UKs schools showing kids how to do kick ups and other skills, thry came to mine.

It came up in a recent chat, and one of my mates is adamant the player in question was a young Pochettino. I'm not too sure although the player was defo Argentinian.

Did anyone else experience this tour? And can you remember the player(s) you saw?

  11. Anyone else's Snake speak with a Mexican accent?

I'm a fan of Zog, my eldest adored it so I do through osmosis, and my voices are top drawer with a Scottish teacher, pompous girl and Zog sounding like Kathy Burke's Perry.

Room on the Broom is easily the Donaldson's finest work though.

    VAR just keeps on giving.

I Jimmied a lot during that shambles.

To be fair, they got every decision correct. Don't think I'd have a complaint to make if it were the other way round.

This season, I have to say VAR seems be doing ok for Wolves, compared to last where the offside Pube rule, encroachment, missed handballs and high feet hit us really hard in a number of key games. This year it's missing Wolves kick players in the bollocks.

  13. "Since I've Been Loving You" by Led Zep.

I absolutely loved that song, from the opening 5 bluesy notes to the then build in music accompanied by Plant being epic on vocals.

Then when giving my dad a lift in a car one day it came on my shuffle play, as Page started up my dad says; "Stand by for the squeaky seat" and there you have it, ruined. Now all I hear is Bonham's arse gyrating as he drums and causing his stool to squeak over and over again.

Edit: I am aware it was actually his bass drum pedal, but Dad claiming it was the arse/stool combo is a much better image.

  14. Proper gutted, I fucking love Diogo. When's he getting a game at Liverpool? Maybe the Salah to large Spanish teams rumours are true.

It appears the deal is to help fund Semedo from Barcelona, so it's bittersweet. And Neto and Podence have stepped up massively.

Doc and Diogo for a combined £50 million is good business mind, considering bought for a combined £13ish million. And it's all getting thrown back into players for the first team.
