I was going to pay for a year of Disney+ before the price rises in Feb, as I know that existing pre-paid annual subscriptions won't be affected, but will the Star stuff just become available to me if I do that, or would that be subject to some sort of add-on?

I still have a Sky subscription, but between Netflix and the expansion of Disney+, Sky must surely be shitting themselves a little. They have made it easy for customers to take those services within your Sky bundle, but not with any particular incentive or special offers, beyond ease of access. You still pay far more for Sky's entertainment bundle than those, and almost all the stuff that Disney are adding undercut Sky's offering.

I think I only pay £2.50 per month for Netflix through Sky. It was a no brainer to move my account to them rather than pay Netflix direct. I get Disney+ for free at the minute as I got it with a purchase I made somewhere, but I think I was that it's slightly cheaper if you buy it through Sky too(don't quote me on that though, as it may have just been a new customer offer).

  2. Looks like I'll be getting the mandatory shielding letter again. Honestly not worried about myself though, it's the effect things will have on my kids that are tearing me up. My eldest, 17, has been looking for an electrical or plumbing apprenticeship but nobody is setting on(understandably), and this news will make it even harder. Then there is his health. When he left school last year he was way overweight, topping out at 18 stone at one point. Once the gyms opened again, he got into the weights and deadlifting and has dropped to 13 stone quickly and feels great. Now the gyms will be shut again, I'm afraid he will ballon again.

The youngest can still attend school, so should be ok. But it's her social skills I'm worried about. Rather than being around kids all her own age, she will be with a smattering of different years put together. It's a million times better than nothing though, so i suppose I should be thankful.

Just have to hope this is the shock that gets everyone "towing the line" now, and we might have some normality by the summer...

  3. Just got off a zoom meeting with my 7 year olds headteacher. He's told us she can still go to school even if they have to shut like last time. Massive weight of my shoulders as the March one really messed her up. She's going through early puberty and had to stop her hormone blockers for a huge chunk of the first lockdown, so was emotional as it was, but not having the routine of school has left a lasting impression on her mental health, and I've got a feeling she will be feeling it for years. At least now we don't have to worry about the same thing happening...

I think he had a cup of coffee in developmental.

@Cod Eye Can you remember what the documentary was called? There's a bunch of them on MY 5.

    Worlds Strongest Man: Greatest Ever...

Think Ken Patera was on it too...

I’ve been watching this. Hopefully Vince McMahon hasn’t - there was a contestant called Evan Singleton who Is a WWE wrestler apparently. After round three he said in his interview that he preferred being In WSM to WWE, and during round four he completely tore his bicep

Did you watch the WSM documentary that was on over Christmas? It featured a young Tom McGee competing before his Stampede/Bret making him look like a mega-star days. You could see why Vince would get a stiffy over him. He had everything Vince was looking for in those days(barring wresting ability, obviously)...

There's an area of Leicester called Belvoir. However for some ridiculous reason it's pronounced Beaver. It makes no sense. Complete nonsense that lots of people blindly follow.

We have an area in Barnsley called Barugh Green. But it's pronounces Bark Green. Causes no end of confusion for those who are not local.

  7. When I went up to secondary school, I ended up with a similar situation. Like with all schools, the teacher had to be address as Mr, Mrs or Miss(insert surname here). Towards the final year, during a registration, our form teacher started a conversation about who our favorite/worst teachers were and if we had any that we'd never had a class with. I started going on about how I'd never even seen two of them, Mr Nicholli and Mr Silver, and asked out form teacher if they were only part time or had left.A confused murmer went round and someone said that I'd had detention with both of them, recently, so must know them. I mentioned that I can't remember any male teachers taking the detention duties for ages, when my form teacher clicked on. Turns out they were not men. They were MISS Da Nicholli and MISS Da Silva. I felt a proper dickhead and got some stick for it from the mates!

So. If I shag your mrs with a Johnny on. It's not considered cheating. Gotcha.

That's one of the worst posts this forum has ever seen. For fuck's sake...

  9. I'm so sorry for everyone in the south that has been shafted by this tier 4 decision. It's really convenient that it's all come to light after the majority of the the Christmas shopping will have been done.

The rest of us will be locked up in it too eventually, which I honestly fear will tip me over the edge. I'm ready to call it a day as it is, but the thought of me being able to see the kids and some of the extended family on Christmas Day and Boxing day is just about keeping me going for now. Once I'm isolated again, I'm worried what I'll end up doing!

    Merry fucking Christmas!

Jungle Boy. I’m not even sure it would be possible to turn him heel.

Oh, I don't know. Imagine him playing up to his famous parents and embracing a "Hollywood Golden Boy", born with a silver spoon in his mouth cowardly heel! I think he would be great! I do want to see him fully develop as a babyface first though...

  11. Hate:

I think this applies for the vast majority of cultures these days, but the overly materialistic nature of modern society, and the urge to show it off at every opportunity. I went on Facebook to send a message to an old friend the other week, so decided to look at my timeline thing for the first time in donkeys, and amongst the random memes, requests to like a little boy was 1st degree burns to "heal" him and people flogging battered old kids clothes for £3, there was a post from a woman "saying how beautiful her kids new coats were(the kids just happened to be standing in front of her brand new Merc she'd been bragging about getting, another with photo's of her kids "loving out new buy-to-let property" and another her kids "thinking our new couch is great", while sat on said couch.

It really fucks me off that sort of thing. We get new shit all the time, but have never thought about going on Facebook and rubbing everyone's noses in it. Imagine how it makes people feel that have lost their jobs and businesses this year, and these pricks are bragging about their "wealth"...

Mental Wrexham Rumour of the Week: Eddie Howe has been approached.

Normally I'd laugh that off, but after the past couple of months...

You couldn't get a gaffer that has a better track record of what Wrexham want(getting a club from bottom to the Premier League). Financially though, is it do-able? I'm meaning with the wage budget caps and the lower leagues much stricter version of FFP(Unless he agrees to defer the vast majority of his wages until the club are in the Championship)?

I'm pleased to see Barnsley having a decent season so far. The way you're going you might actually be able to relax throughout April and May next year.

We need to get as many points in the bank as possible before Christmas, to make up for the slump in form caused by the inevitable January fire sale where the board give away any players they can get offers for!

  14. This season has been off it's titts football wise for us Barnsley fans. We managed to win at Loftus Road for the first time since Jesus walked the earth early in the season, and now I'm still buzzing almost 24 hours later after we won at Hillsborough(another place we never seem to get a result at!). You would think the shine would be taken off it seeing as that was the worst Wednesday team I can remember them having(even adding in the teams they had in League 1), playing some of the least entertaining football I have ever seen them play, but no! I can't stop smiling still!

I give up with you lot!

This forum has always been a w**k fest for a few Mods with a god complex but in last few years it's become rediculous.

There's about 6 posters on here that basically make this forum up and  if it doesn't fit with there opinion of wrestling it gets derision and cained.

May as well just close the forum to new users.

To whomever has the authorisation please delete my account.

Oh and this isn't a petulant, rant or sulk, I'm just fucking off!

You do realise that just because you have an "active" account, you can just choose to not post, right? You don't have to flounce and paddy if you want to "fuck off", you simply log out and don't log back in...

  16. Last year, I decided the modern product was boring me to tears as I probably were not it's target audience.  So to get my wrestling fix, I went all the way back to the begging of Nitro, and worked my way though the show and PPV's in order, eventually adding Thunder too. When I finished it, I started Raw from mid 2006 and I'm now just before the '99 Rumble, and I'm enjoying it much more than any wrestling since the post invasion brand split, and the "Smackdown 6" era.

i have watched a bit of AEW, and I like a lot about their product, but it not being live over here I've usually seen the spoilers by the time it airs on ITV, so I miss it.

Honestly can't see me ever watching WWE programming outside the 'Rumble and 'Mania now my eldest kid has grown out of it too, and I'll stick with the old shows and PPV's.

Might start to try and watch AEW more though.
