  1. That episode didn't do much for me, i think that changing the portals from water to shiney stuff half way through took something away from the episode plus i hate the 'everybody dies then comes back' endings that are reminiscent of RTD. Although not every body 'came back' so to speak and it was pretty bleak you just know some where down the line we'll get pirates in space.

  2. Definitely Westworld, because it's not really a western so I can fool her with it. I'm looking for more offbeat stuff which is why I thought of High Plains Drifter. Tears Of The Black Tiger is bonkers too, she'll probably like that.

You could also try Back to the Future 3 if you wanna trick her in to liking westerns.

  3. The Twickenham Streaker Erica Roe

Just look at those. And the fag in her mouth puts a couple more points on her score.

Yeah, I remember seeing footage of her from back then, broadcast in the early 90s - I was about 13 back then.

What's the word for when you're effectively traumatised, but in a positive, not negative, way?

I might be imagining this but im sure she was on the Frank Skinner chat show and she had visibly hairy pits. So that would make two people she's traumatized.

  4. Anyone can have kids, have you seen Jeremy Kyle sunshine? I'm also worked as a DOORMAN in the Wrexham/Merseyside Area off and on for the past 5 years, in fact 3 years ago it was my major source of income. It doesan't make it you any good at anything. Just means you didn't mind paying through your arse for your SIA. Engineer? Well done sir, it's amazing how they change the job title for binmen and people these days.

Completely OT but where did u work as a doorman in Wrexham?
  5. That's true to a point (I know how rebounding to be with someone can really make things go the wrong way, which is why I'm in no rush to be with someone), but by the same token, when you ARE emotional it's hard to really think straight to begin with. Add to that the added emotional feelings you'd get from being pregnant (Well, hopefully not you, or you have some explaining to do in regards to your name!), and things happen that you wouldn't normally do.Sometimes things happen when you don't plan for it, and if the gal abstains until after the baby, when IS a good time to find someone? (and what's more, are you therefore saying she should outright turn down someone she's liked for a while PURELY on the fact she's pregnant?) Once she's had the kid, would it not be irresponsible to dump the kid with friends/family to go on the pull? So then she should wait until the kid doesn't need her around often to feed/change it. So really we'd say the next chance she'd have then is when the kids go to school, it's a bit bad if she dumps the kid off regularly with family during the week, and even if she does find someone, it's not like they can really go back to hers now, there's likely to be a kid there. If the woman wants to be with a guy, let her, it only becomes an issue when she's just split up with someone and is immediately going out making a deliberate attempt at looking for someone personally, but quite often things will happen and you'll find someone you get on with, and want to see where things go. Are you seriously suggesting she turns down a chance of being with someone who might be good for her purely on the basis of somebody elses views?

No if its her view that the best thing for her and her baby is to jump into another relationship within a matter of months of being in a relationship with somebody who they expected to be with forever then she should do that. It is however my view that the best thing to do would be wait untill the baby is born and they've settled down and the emotions are a bit more stable, if that other person is still around and they feel the same then great go for it, if not then get back out there its not like single mothers are social pariahs these days.
  6. I read what you said TBP, and I merely said that you're entitled to your own views on it, but don't have a go at others who don't feel the same way.And Mr Danger, you're right, girls are in a more emotional state, but by the same token, does that not work both ways? A guy and her split up and the woman gets more emotional over it than normal and at that moment in time might not be thinking about hooking up with someone. On the flip side, that guy she's always liked but done nothing about because she was taken (and he's liked her but she was taken), well, if he starts being there for her more, as a friend initially, and things happen. Well surely her emotional state would mean she might go further than she would do normally at that point because she's looking for comfort etc.

I'd say dont let emotions over rule common sense, if you find yourself feeling that way why not try telling yourself, hey im really emotional i should just be alone for a while until the big picture is a little clearer. Works for men as well and all people, if you come out of a serious relationship don't rebound straight in to another one pregnant or not.
  7. It's a completely valid point though, if a woman is planning a life with somebody and carrying his child then one day realizes things aren't going to work out then surely given the fact she's in an even more emotional state than the average woman the last thing she should be thinking about is another relationship until well after the baby has arrived. Ok im sure it would be hard abstaining for that long but it wouldn't be impossible. I wouldn't use the word slut though as its not a particularly nice word and i'd just see it as the women having a different view on the matter to me which she has every right to because at the end of the day it's her choice and not mine.

  8. If it wasn't for pregnant sluts we wouldn't have awesome pornos. Anyway the real burning issue here is, is it true the preggo birds love it in the shitter? Apologies if i've already asked this before its just that pregnant women and bum sex is an interest of mine.

  9. Fight Club is awesome, its one of the greatest dick flick's ever. If you had to explain what being a man in the 21st century is like through the medium of film then you would show them this film. Zodiac is a well made based on a true story film, people profiling the career of David Fincher will not write to much about the effect this had on it. Also, thanks for clearing up what 'every man' means. Oh and i don't care what you all say, every time i've seen Kermode he has come across as a film snob pleasing cock muncher. Whats everybody's opinion on Jonathon Ross as a film reviewer, i rarely agree with his opinion but i appreciate that what he says does genuinely come across as his own opinion and not something he thinks he should say in order to gain any sort of cred with other reviewers unlike his brother who soon changed his tune when he started getting ripped in Empire magazine.

  10. Just watching the film review part of Newsnight and boy oh boy, is there anything worse than snobby poncey film reviewers. I think i'd value Paul Ross' reviews higher than these hacks. I also hate that tool who does the reviews on The Culture Show. Anybody else share my hatred for these film snobs, go review some art house if you want to deconstruct a film don't rip Hollywood bockbusters apart for being erm blockbustery.

  11. Iron ManReally enjoyed it, yes I'm a superhero film fan, but this was a pretty good version, a few bad points like focusing on one aspect of the suit a bit much and leaving out the rest of it, but that's a really small thing. Fun enough, nothing earth shattering but we've had some poor Hero movies recently so this was a step in the right direction. Hopefully Hancock will keep it moving.

I've noticed they're advertising this as an action film in this country where as all the other trailors i've seen are billing it as more a full on comedy. Whats up wid dat?
  12. Wild Hogs its definately something that anyone could enjoy.

Murtz, you must be the most easily impressed film watcher in the history of the world.
For me.. thats surely a good thing... right??
In the same way that a cardboard box might keep a small child occupied for hours on end even though they have loads of cool toys to choose from. Just to be clear I dont keep small children in cardboard boxes.
  13. How accurate are due dates? I dont think i know anybody whose kids came when they were meant to it seems pointless giving an exact date as the little shits pop out whenever they feel like it, bloody youth of today, they got no concept of punctuality.

  14. Cos its a dudes name I guess

I know a few girls called Jamie, and they are of various ages (no jokes about that ya cunts :p )so its not down to a certain generation in regards to that, think its one of those names that either sex can get away with
I think it was an island thing. No out of the ordinary names at all when i was little. They were all traditional english names. I remember another girl who moved to the island and her name was Keiley and she was pointed and laughed at too.I remember my nan being in shock and wouldnt shut up about a new boy whos name was Mohamed. Christ, you'd have thought hell had frozen over the way my nan went on.
I think u just found a better name than Dylan there, Mohamed Christ and if its a girls Mohamed Christina.
  15. watched starship troopers last night.I've always loved this film, can't wait to see what the third installment brings to the table. The second film was a load of shit so I'm hoping number 3 restores a lot of faith I lost from watching the second film.Anyone else have any thoughts on the film?

Yeah gotta share the Starship Troopers love, just a really good unpretentious fun film. It's the sort of film i'd have loved when i was a little kid. Shame they couldn't get the original cast members for the sequels, its not like they're superstars or anything.
