Paid Members air_raid Posted June 26, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted June 26, 2011 (edited) I'm so excited about the announced card, I had almost forgotten about the possibility of Kevin Steen showing up!  EDIT  Results from first half of the PPV  <-- click on 'spoiler' to show/hide the spoiler   (1) Tomasso Ciampa pinned Colt Cabana after a powerbomb onto the knees. (2) Jay Lethal pinned Mike Bennett after a flying elbow. (3) Homicide pinned Rhino with a sunset flip as Rhino attempted a Gore through a table in a no-disqualification match. (4) Michael Elgin pinned Steve Corino with a spinning powerbomb.  Rhino and Homicide went all over the place. After the decision Homicide decked Nana but that was enough distraction to allow Rhino to Gore him through the table. Looked in rough shape afterwards.  Steen came out in the crowd, introduced by Corino to a massive pop but the security escorted him out. He return after the decision as Elgin and Martini were beating up Corino and Jacobs, only to swerve by saying "Fuck you Ring of Honor!" and booting Corino in the gonads. He was taken out by security who carried him out on his back over their heads as he laughed maniacally and gave everyone the finger. World Tag Team Champions Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin beat The Briscoes, The All-Night Express and Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli : (I) Rhett Titus pinned Jay Briscoe after a flying kneedrop, (II) ANE eliminated after Hero used the loaded elbow, (III) Haas pinned Hero after a double spinebuster. Davey Richards pinned Eddie Edwards after a running soccer kick for the World Heavyweight Championship.  The world title featured some stunning spots including Die Hard on the apron and a flying double stomp through a table from Edwards and a double stomp from Richards while Edwards was in the ropes. After numerous attempts to illicit submission via a cross armbreaker from Richards, Achilles lock from Edwards and ankle locks from both, Richards took Edwards down with a barrage of spinning back kicks, the final one which sent Eddie down to his seat. Davey then sprinted the length of the ring to kick his tag team partner flush in the face, then pinned him.  Both men stayed down for a long period of time after the final bell and needed help back to their feet, after which the two men had a heartfelt embrace. Fans chanted Eddie's name in appreciation of his reign, before Davey cut an extremely emotional speech thanking fans and the other wrestlers for keeping him going during some personal tragedies and giving him "something to believe in." spotlightmagnet1 Posted June 27, 2011 Share Posted June 27, 2011 Finished watching it, I loved it. Funnily enough I fell asleep just for the Jay Lethal vs. Mike Bennett match, oh well. Â The whole Elgin/ Corino match and aftermath I thought was absolutely incredible, I don't know about anyone else but I'm quite a fan of Mike Elgin. He has much more presence in the ring to me than other enforcer people like Necro Butcher and Brodie Lee. Â Loved the main event too, it was just my cup of tea. Adorable Adrian Posted June 27, 2011 Share Posted June 27, 2011 Credit: Wrestleview.com  We previously reported that the Kings of Wrestling (Claudio Castagnoli and Chris Hero) recently had a private try out with WWE officials. WWE officials were impressed, and extended the former Ring of Honor tag team champions contract offers. They also have offers on the table from Ring of Honor, and the company wanted all long-terms deals to be signed yesterday, so that future booking plans could be implemented. According to Dave Meltzer, it is believed the tag team did not sign with ROH, and the assumption was that they are leaning towards signing with WWE.  Also looks like that was Christopher Daniels last match for the company, for the time being anyway. I don't want to see at my pc. Â I am illegally downloaded enough wrestling over the years. Its time for me to pay for what i actually enjoy and to give my money to a company that needs it.
