My PWBTS column

Rob always wanted to be on TV

I hate Rob Feinstein.

This is not a non judgmental piece.

I've been waiting for 10 years for Rob to get his.

I just never guessed he'd do it to himself.

I first met Rob on a Saturday morning in Nov 1994, in a crummy little gym in Cherry Hill, NJ, where Dennis Coraluzzo was holding a fan fair prior to a show that evening.

He was selling tapes with his dad. And right on his table was my copyrighted Eddie Gilbert tape that I had shot earlier that year. He acted contrite, and then kept on selling it.

After I threatened him with legal action, he made me a deal to send me all ECW commercial tapes in lieu of damages. He sent me 4-all horrible quality, and then stopped.

In the mean time he had some argument with Paul E, and told Paul I was his (RF's) attorney and I was going to sue him-which was news to me.

Paul E called me one afternoon and we discussed what a goof and liar Rob was.

After Rob reneged on our deal, I told him I'd do whatever was necessary to cost him business forever. His miserable service and tape quality did a better job than I could.

As he got more successful, he got more arrogant. And became a bigger liar.

He'd brag about having sex with porn stars, which we all knew was BS.

He'd brag about girlfriends that didn't exist.

He'd troll Internet boards, often under phony names, spreading lies, making threats, even defaming dead posters (Vanes Naldi on DVDVR.)

I constantly baited him, calling him a homosexual, after I was warned he was going to a certain "youth night" at a local bar. I could have cared less if he had a sheep as a lover. But he was such a liar online, while everyone around him knew the truth.

Finally his arrogance hit new heights when he started ROH, threatening everyone who copied ROH tapes, even though his whole business was built on theft of other's comp tapes.

He finally hit rock bottom when instead of sueing Mike King, who was copying ROH tapes, he ratted him out to the FBI. Mike King is in, or about to go to jail because Rob Feinstein is a punk.

When I first heard the news on Weds a.m., I was skeptical.

Several people, including Bob Magee, tried to convince me the AIM log could have been a fraud. But when I read it, it just smelled like Rob. By early afternoon, I was sent framegrabs, with Rob's face not registering the fact that his life was over. I wasn't gloating-yet. It was too amazing. Several people e mailed me how sad it was.

That's when I got mad.

A pedophile isn't sad. He's a monster. What's sad are his victims. The people that said it was sad were all too close to Rob, all benefitting financially one way or another. Web Hits. Side businesses. Everyone worrying about another hit on the sleazy business of wrestling.

As if it would have been better for Rob to continue his fun with boys, while those close to him continued to turn their heads over Rob's Aaron Carter lookalike obsession.

Today, everyone involved with Rob tried to distance ROH and RF Video from Rob. They called it an incident, an obstruction. But they didn't call Rob a pedophile-that should be in jail, and registered as a sex offender.

I'll believe Rob is distanced from everything when he's forced to sell his home and car, because he has no other job skills. And now that he's finally a TV star, ironically he couldn't even get hired at the Langhorne McDonalds.

Wow...Spent this week away from the internet and I miss *this*.Will post some thoughts when I'm more awake (and when I've finished reading the damn thing!) Not sure what I can add to a twenty eight page thread (and I've a feeling this is just going to get bigger) other than I find the whole situation repulsive.

It's lucky this was just a 'sting' and not a real child. Question that springs to mind is has he done this before? I couldn't care less if Rob or any other member of the wrestling community is a homosexual because at the end of the day what they do in their private lives isn't really any of our business, but this is a trully dispicable and disgusting thing for any human being to do. I hope the authorities investigate this piece of scum to find out wether or not he has abused before. On a different note [appologies if already posted but 28 pages of Feinstein was just too much for me to read] will anyone take my bet on who the next wrestling personality to be found dead will be? My guess has the initials R.F.

Loc Of The Carnage Crew Writes To The Fans

Hello,

I wanted to take a minute and touch base with the people who have been the most important factor in Ring of Honor's success, YOU, the ROH fans. Without you there is absolutely no way that we could have grown to be one of the largest and, most favorably talked about wrestling promotion in the world in just two short years. You have let us know, through your support, how much ROH means to you and I want to let you know, through this letter, how much ROH means to us.

Speaking for me personally, in late 1994 when I decided to enter wrestling school my dream was just to be "in the business". That dreamed later evolved into wanting to wrestle for a living, specifically for ECW. I was lucky enough to live those dreams but, from the bottom of my heart, they all pail in comparison to the experience of working for Ring of Honor and I know for a fact that the rest of our locker room feels the same way.

ROH is a family. Period. We come to every show with the intent of giving you everything we have in order to make this product that we all believe in and are so proud of grow. This family is about leaving it all in the ring. This family is about making sure that every single person who pays their hard earned money to watch us do what we do, not only feels they got their money's worth, but wants to come again and bring his or her friends.

Ring of Honor is the only place you'll ever see the boss wait by the curtain popping like a fan in the front row when something comes off even better than he hoped. It's the only place where people will drive ten hours to help set up the ring for little or no money just to be around it.

The wrestlers, the booker, the ring crew, the production guys all believe in this product with all of their hearts and put it first before all other parts of their lives. We know that's the only way we will survive and grow.

Ring of Honor is a Family.

I thank you for taking the time to read this. On behalf of everyone at ROH I thank you for your support and we invite you on March 13th to Elizabeth, NJ to see our family do the thing we are most proud of in the world. That being, make you proud to be a Ring of Honor fan

Thanks, Loc

Ring Of Honor's Mission

ROH has never been about individuals.

ROH is a team concept. It consists of the most dedicated professionals driven by pure pride to deliver the best performances ever witnessed in a pro wrestling ring. These athletes devote their lives to their art. All is sacrificed from family to friends to personal health for one goal- to produce the best show you'll ever witness in the spirit of ROH. The competitors in the ring feed off the energy of the crowd to produce the special atmosphere that can only be experienced at a live ROH event. We live for that moment when you people are awed, amazed and ignited by the action, spirit and pulse so unique to ROH.

Most importantly ROH is made up of survivors. People who persevere and perform at their best when the pressure is on. We can take the hit because we know how to survive. We have been hit hard and we have survived every time. We are a team that can't be broken. We have a bond that extends from all the wrestlers to the fans and nothing can destroy that bond because we have dedicated our lives to it. The ROH team remains intact - our athletes, our staff, and most importantly, all of our fans.

Locker Room Scoops For The Week Of 3/5

-When you support ROH you support EVERYONE who has dedicated themselves to this promotion. That includes EVERYONE from the ring crew to the refs to the guys who drive the ring truck to the upcoming valet to the opening match guy to the main event star to your favorite wrestler to the office to the local guy who manages the building. This company means a lot to all of us. We thank you for your support and it is only with your support that we are still here today.

-Add Slyk Wagner Brown with April Hunter vs. Xavier with Prince Nana to the night show on March 13th in Elizabeth, NJ at the RexPlex. Prince Nana said he will unveil what The Embassy is all about at the show.

-Jerry Lynn has just been added to the 4/23 St. Paul event. The winner of the Nigel McGuiness vs. Lynn match on 3/13 will get a shot at the Pure Title in St. Paul.

-Bobby "The Brain" Heenan has canceled off the St. Paul and Chicago Ridge events due to obligations with his book. We hope you accept our apology.

-The entire ROH crew has been in contact with booker Gabe Sapolsky and expressed their loyalty to ROH. No one besides Heenan has canceled dates. We have all worked too hard not to be dedicated to the company, which the entire locker room has built.

-Alex Shelley is recovering well from his injury and will return on the big Midwest double shot weekend.

-Jim Cornette insists that Jay Briscoe has a perfect strategy for leaving the steel cage as the ROH World Champion. However, Samoa Joe expects this to be his night as it marks one year as champion.

-More convention card matches will be announced during the week.

-Expect a huge Locker Room Scoops next week with lots of names and matches for several upcoming events.

That being, make you proud to be a Ring of Honor fanThanks, Loc Ring Of Honor's Mission ROH has never been about individuals. Oh boy..... how many times are we gonna be told this now?.... ok let me dip in the ole quote boat:

JOE: When did you get the idea of starting up your own promotion? ROB: Well just like every wrestling fan I always wanted to run a promotion. I am sure many fans out there try to book matches and all and say I would have done it this way after watching a show whether it was a RAW or PPV. JOE: Did you always have the dream of owning your own promotion? ROB: Well for me it has been a dream of mine to run a promotion even before ECW was around. When ECW went out of business there was a void in my life. Doug and I started going to a lot of indy shows, and I started a list of who I would use if I ever started up a promotion. JOE: Who did you bring the idea up about starting your own promotion with? ROB: After a year on the circuit I went to Doug, Gabe, Ross and the entire RF VIDEO office and asked, "What do you guys think about the idea of starting up our own promotion?" The funny thing was Gabe was DEAD against it.

There may be no I in team, but theres a hell of a lot in Individuals, plus hypocrite is a nice word too :sly:...and FYI gabe is the 'new president'...yeah right ROH is a team concept. It consists of the most dedicated professionals driven by pure pride to deliver the best performances ever witnessed in a pro wrestling ringThese athletes devote their lives to their art. All is sacrificed from family to friends to personal health for one goal- to produce the best show you'll ever witness in the spirit of ROH. I would have said money but to each his own i guess. Great column Bob, thanks for posting that really interesting read, I'll be lying if I said i'd follow the sort of shit that Feinstein has pulled over the years, never trading myself, i guess that information just didn't grab my eye. Now I read the things this man...sorry 'creature' seems more apt has pulled over the years this would lead me again to point out one of my favourite lines..."what goes around, comes around" my main concern over anything is that Feinstein has indulged in some underage practices with impressionable children, a lot of people seem to say that "ah well, he didn't actually do anything bar meet go to the kids house" what do they think he was going to do? kick a ball around?

A member of my family was sexually abused in South Africa while they were 5 yrs old they were in a foster home for kids, they were beaten regularlly also, I find any sort of behaviour to be deprived and disgusting, there is NO excuse for this sort of thing and I really hope they do RF's computer and search for stuff on it, he can't delete it, there's no way to really delete anything on a PC unless your some sort of PC genius.

As far as Ring of Honor is concerned, while that thing is still involved in it (and he will be until he's bought out) it's going to draw negative reaction, I see Total Wrestling gave the show a classiest promotion award, seems ironic to see that being presented to RF when the real point of that would've been the hard working wrestlers who go all out to entertain and put on a good show for the fans, thankfully there wasn't a 'classiest promoter' award.

I hope he's at least put on a sex offender's list, his wrestling career is on life supporting, he's made enemies all around him, another old saying~ "be nice to the people on the way up...because they're the same you'll see on the way down" nobody would want to touch him with a barge pole, I hope continued coverage of things like this will encourage parents to monitor to actually care what there kids do for a change and go on the net the same time they do and constantly monitor. It's the only way to stop paedophilles like RF from abusing children, I've seen what it can do to people, it fucks up there life.

I hope he does go to jail, there'll be a lot of people there to make his life a living hell.

Kudos to The Brain for cancelling, the book signing thing is absolute garbage which nobody is buying, we all know why he's not on that show.

"As a result of a personal incident in which Mr. Feinstein was involved, both RF Video and Ring of Honor have made some necessary changes in both management and ownership of our companies. This was a personal incident and RF Video and Ring of Honor as corporations were not involved. RF Video and Ring of Honor are family-friendly organizations. We value all of our customers, vendors and business partners. As a result, the board of directors of both corporations voted officially this afternoon to release Robert Feinstein as president and CEO of both RF Video and Ring of Honor. As of today, Mr. Feinstein is no longer officially associated with either company or any upcoming events and I was named as the new President and CEO of both corporations. He has been dissolved of all responsibility and ownership in both companies. Our corporate attorney is currently working on all the necessary paperwork. We are also exploring a new name change for RF Video, Inc. and we will have more details soon. We want to thank you all for the many positive messages we have received from hundreds of you, including fans, talent and business partners. We are very excited about the many upcoming wrestling events in 2004! "

You really think two companies which Feinstein built and maintained with his own cash really have a board of directors which have the power to kick Rob out of his own creation? What a load of bullshit, RF will still be involved in both companies, making any money they make, and any namechanges will just strengthen the smokescreen they're trying to place infront of the fans eyes.IMO, ROH will be finished as soon as talent realise RF is still involved, and as for the 13/3 show, you really think the big names booked for that show will want to be associated with a promotion run by a paedophile? I don't think so.
