I don’t buy that Warrior would’ve had a similar trajectory to what Sid had as his replacement. No way Warrior gets a reaction that white hot at International Incident, essentially forcing Vince to bin off Vader and re-write the rest of the year.

Assuming Shawn still throws a strop with Vader at Summerslam, I’d argue there’s more chance they go with Ahmed as Shawn’s Survivor Series opponent than Warrior.

Would it have been Ahmed’s best match ever? Of course.

Could Shawn have ended up with a broken back two years earlier? Also likely.

Warrior in The Attitude Era would be unbelievably interesting. Seeing those 1996 videos with Shawn, with him wearing sunglasses etc, Its not like he's suddenly human but I reckon they'd have humanized the character further. Like they did with 'Taker in 1999 where he believed he was actually Dead or some shit.

Imagine the terrible SHOOT PROMOS where some gimp has to recite some edgy Russo material and call him “Jim” to barely audible oohs from the crowd. In every timeline the Ahmedtude era would be preferable to the Attitude era. Ahmed, Sid, Warrior > Austin, Rock, Mankind.
