Moderators PowerButchi Posted March 8, 2020 Moderators Share Posted March 8, 2020 (edited) Just watching the original Curb your Enthusiasm episode, the mocumentary, and Jerry Seinfeld mentions how Larry David would always say "you people" during his stand up in the late 70s and Jerry would say it was adversarial.  Is that where WWE got their biggest heel promo spiel from? Vince is famous for loving "you people".  Probably not. Definitely not. But I couldn't be arsed finding the thoughts thread. So yeah.  Any more of these woerd tropes or links? Edited March 8, 2020 by PowerButchi

Paid Members PJ Power Posted March 9, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted March 9, 2020 IIRC Buh Buh Ray Dudley referred to "you people" in his pre-match promo at ECW's Heatwave 99 before dishing out offensive insults to several folks in the crowd. It was pretty cheap heat, but bah gawd did he generate it that night.
