Everton 0-9 Tottenham Hotspur

Was this pick a typo? I can't think why an Arsenal fan would back Spurs to win by that kind of margin. Either way, it earned you a point!

Anyhow, here's the latest table. There's no change in the order of the bottom half or the top 4 this time out, with only some insignificant shuffling in between those positions. That's because average scoring was on the extremely low side at 4.68 points, rising to 5.24 if we account for the two absentees. As is often the case, supposedly 'meaningless' end-of-season results in fact end up being some of the hardest to guess.

Nana's haul of 3 points isn't as terrible as it sounds in the context of such a generally appalling round. At the top, the race for second place is still tight, but SNRN10 increased his lead over the chasing pack to a surely unassailable 17 points. The other end, meanwhile, saw Seph widen his advantage over TUFCfan heading into the final weekend. Nobody managed to foresee more than one exact scoreline - with a clear majority failing to get any - and only best performer hbk4life even came close to double figures.

All but one of those three-pointers came courtesy of City's routine 2-0 win over Saints (who technically had something to play for at the start of play)... although even there, the second goal was scored very late on in the match. The other was Ratty's bet on Chelsea's 3-1 victory over already-safe Sunderland, earning him a special mention. Elsewhere, unusual scores at the Emirates, King Power Stadium and the Britannia all made high scoring difficult, but more mundane outcomes at Villa, Palace, Everton, Hull and Newcastle scarcely proved more fruitful.

Those last 3 games all still held an incentive to win for one or both sides involved at the start of play beyond pride and prize money, yet they didn't yield many predictions points despite going with the expected result of one draw and, in the remaining cases, the team needing to win doing so. Easy to say that in hindsight, but many of our bets really were shocking at this stage.

Right, that's your lot because there were no more competitions to talk about this week. That's not a luxury we have for the last card of the season, as it'll contain cup finals galore when it goes live in just a few moments.
