Two good games, with the side who probably deserved to win winning in both. By the way, just to mention that fixture wise it's the same as most seasons, i.e. an extended first week to get used to the swing of things, meaning the update will happen on Sunday night with new fixtures announced.

Galatasaray 4 - 2 Napoli

The defending champ TezzRexx started very well and two goals in quick succession in the first half set the Turkish side off to what seemed like a comfortable victory. Yilmaz scored another two in the second half to complete his hat-trick. With the pressure off, Cavani headed in a consolation shortly after, following by Insigne scoring a second for Napoli five minutes later. Napoli were back into the game and could have leveled the score having an effort cleared off the line and another hitting the post. Galatasary could have extended the lead late on though with a couple of late chances. Despite the late surge by Napoli, the right side won.

Goals: Yilmas (17', 59', 65'), Drogba (21'). Cavani (68'), Insigne (73').

Napoli 3 - 0 Galatasaray

Napoli's late improvement obviously gave them confidence in this game. Early pressure, forcing several corners, lead to Cannavaro heading in the first. The Italians had several decent chances before Britos headed in a second just before the break. Cavani secured the win early in the second half with a good strike. Galatasaray were always looking for a way back into the game, and could have got at least a consolation had it not been for Drogba and Yilmas not having their shooting boots on. Napoli could have also extended their lead as well, whilst Galatasaray were denied a late consolation when an effort smacked against the outside of the post.

Goals: Cannavaro (4'), Britos (44'), Cavani (50').
