Match 5 - NTV Tournament match: Tatsuhiko Takaiwa & Osamu Namiguchi defeated Zack Sabre Jr & Taishi Takizawa. Takaiwa pinned Zack with a Death Valley Bomb after 16 minutes 30 seconds.

 

On the same show Eddie Edwards lost to Takeshi Sugiura after 12 minutes in a singles match, and KENTA & Kanemaru won their first NTV tournament match as a team, with KENTA pinning Jack Evans after a Go 2 Sleep (12:58).

I know this is Zack's thread and all, but Sugiura vs Shiozaki was FUCKING INCREDIBLE!!!! Probably my favourite match from Japan in 2011. Perhaps Sugiura's best title defense so his reign went out with a bang, and I will rewatch the other two, but I'd say right now this was my favourite match out of their three title matches.

 

That spear was brutal. Shiozaki landed directly on his head after that german from the top rope. The headbutt from Shiozaki to Sugiura was the THUDiest headbutt I ever heard. And the crowd was well up for the title change.
