LDN Margate Winter Gardens

Recommended Posts

Not the best crowd LDN have drawn here. Both balconies closed and the raised seating was partitioned off. Quite a few empty seats to be seen. Maybe 250-300 in the crowd.

William Gaylord vs Johnny Love

Decent opening match. Gaylord gets some good heat insisting his name is NOT Gaylord (chants of GAYLORD GAYLORD) plenty of back and forth action before Gaylord goes over. Lots of boos.

LDN Tag Team Championship

Team Hate (champions) vs Hakan and Travis.

Team Hate show up without belts WTF LDN?

Before the bell Travis apologises to Hakan for his turn on Hakan during the last Margate show in 2010, gets a decent reception

Hakan plays Ricky Morton for most of the match before looking to make the hot tah to Travis, Travis refuses the tag and walks away. Hakan rallies and looks to put Team Hate away with some kind of top rope move....Travis grabs his foot...TH member with the slam from the top 1 2 3 and TH are still champions.

Hakan then cuts a miserable and emotionless promo to set up a falls count anywhere main event match between Hakan and Travis for the Capital Championship and introduce LDN's new comissioner Dave Walker NO ONE CARES.

Next up Richard Parliament vs Bam Bam Barton.

Parliament gets some good heat insulting the crowd. Bam Bam shows up wearing thread bare looking trunks with his name hanging off the arse. Entertaining match RP splits his lip early on. Bam Bam goes over with a spear.

Intermission

Paul Maynard Vs Yorghos.

Surprised to see Yorghos back although not as surprised as I was by the gut he had flapping over his trunks. Heatless match won by Flabbos. ZZZZZZ

Falls count anywhere for the LDN Capital Championship

Travis comes out first and waits on the stage for Hakan to come out. Travs jumps him from behind by Hakan gets the upper hand. Bit of weak back and forth brawling around the ring crowd pretty dead. In the end Hakan wins with a huricanrana IN THE RING (what is the point of having a falls count anywhere match that ends in the ring?) New Champion Hakan

So everyone in the building can see and hear the count as opposed to just the people in that specific part of the venue. If you think about it very few falls count anywhere matches that have ended on the outside have elicited a big pop unless it's say WWE and it's at the top of the stage/entrance where everyone can see clearly.

What is really retarded is having to make them pull double duty and then setting up an angle for a match that was already advertised (as a Ladder match, tweeted yesterday) via a heel turn that had already taken place at the last show in Margate. Plus Travis actually became the LDN British Champion 3 days previous! I have to give it to LDN, they just get carnier and carnier.

But the Ladder match didn't happen due to Travis hiding the attachment apperatus for the belt earlier in the day, so a Falls Count Anywhere match, where the ladder was legal, was set up by the commisioner.

You are right about it being a smaller crowd, but it was at least 400. You're entitled to your opinion on the show, naturally, although I disagree with a lot of it! Any feedback is good feedback though I'd like to think.

Also it's Paul Malen, not Paul Maynard!

Because there are no shops actually open in Margate?

It's possible that Travis stole it/it was noticed after 4pm, when licensing laws require the few shops in Margate to close until Monday.

So he's hidden a massive rope with a hook attached to the end? where did he hide it, the sea? ah this LDN so I'd presume so

We in LDN certainly do love hiding things in the sea!
