Is anyone else fed up with Jerry Lawler on Raw? hes having matches and winning over the WWE champion. Hes the most boring guy in history, hes overrated and ive always thought hes been overrated in the ring and on commentary. Josh Matthews is even better than Jerry Lawler and should take his place. Ive literally stopped watching Raw twice now because i dont see why hes getting a push of sorts.

It made Miz look like a bad ass when he beat up the King the next week, but when the King beat the Miz again thanks to Orton it was just overkill. Miz vs Morrison was brilliant and made both look really strong for 2011 and then he goes on to lose against King the next week.... just ruins the push that he is getting.

I just find King bland and boring and the ovation he gets isnt really understandable, he may be a legend but what the majority of that crowd has seen him do isnt that great at all. I say bring back JR exchange him with the King, problem fixed, put King down in OVW so he can learn to care whats going on in the ring.

Rant over...

You are a fucking Mong. Jerry Lawlers recent matches have been a fantastic watch and add a new dynamic to a word title picture. He has put on some great matches with Miz and Miz has lost once to him and the only time he did come back he destroyed him later in the show. Jerry is ok on commentary far beeter than marsh mellow mouth matthews. Fair enough his commnetary is not as good as it has been but he is in a different role. No longer the heel no longer screaming puppies.

The man is a legend and his ring psycholgy is amazing he has made the Miz look even better since he became the world champion and you have a problem with him being boring. Oh lets have another, Cena - Orton Fued or Edge - Orton, Lets hurry Thiple H back so we can have a triple threat. Then when your bored with that because its happened before why not start a thread and whinge about how WWE is always the same.

If you don't like Jerry Lawler don't watch RAW go watch gay porn and knock one out into your sisters sock. If your going to watch Raw shut your fucking moaning. Raw is great at the minute with Nexus, Punk, Lawler. The things that have changed not the same old people stinking up main events yet you still moan Idiot.

I'm guessing with that anger, you're either Lawler's son or head of his official fan club ..

Not at all just fucked off with people complaining. They complain its always the same guys in main event. Its boring rubbish etc. WWE writers pull there finger out write compelling interesting tv and someone comes on and moans about Jerry Lawler. The guy is great he draws the crowd in has good basic matches and makes the Miz look good and this is still not good enough. Lets just put the strap on Triple H have him Cena and Orton main event triple threat Wrestlemania and disband Nexus. Then rampage can moan about how preditable and boring Raw has become.

Does Miz get more heat because of it?

Yes.

Is it then good for, and essentially putting over the heel Miz?

Yes.

If you stopped watching cos you couldn't see why lawlers getting the push then you're not really knowledgeable enough about the business to watch based on your view on whether or not people deserve their pushes - better off just watching it as a fan.

I like the cut of your jib crawlingwest.

Jerry Lawler had me on the edge of my seat for the first time in years in his match against The Miz. To say he can't go or they should end the feud now, well that's nuts. If it's still generating interest which it clearly is, then why stop it? I think it's actually helping The Miz get dastardly heat and that's a higher lever than the usual heat he gets mocking sports teams and whatnot.

Its obvious they're building for a Wrestlemania match for Lawler, something he's never had and I wouldn't mind seeing it.

My god, has he never? I think you're right, I can't think of him wrestling at Mania. Which is incredible seeing as he has wrestled on every other major PPV, even during his commentator days.

Based on the fact he hasn't wrestled at Mania, he definitely should have one. Especially as his feud with The Miz has been picking up momentum and King is doing rather well IMO.

I find his commentary hilarious in a "for fuck's sake, man!" kind of way, but I really wish they'd keep him out of the ring. Win or lose, he is totally burying The Miz (whom I've come to respect a lot in recent times) simply for the fact that The Miz suddenly has to have a rivalry with a 60+ retired man.

I've always been puzzled by Lawler's position in WWE. I think he's without doubt a real legend - throughout most of his career he's been versatile, competent and downright entertaining. His Memphis stuff, like his mini-feud with Flair, as well as his work with Kaufmann, Dundee et al., really show how great he was in his prime, and his work with Bret Hart was spectacular. I've never seen such a contemptible heel the way Lawler worked it with Bret - the fact that he subtly emphasised his status as a part-timer (and thus would be no match for Bret when the Hitman finally got his hands on him, one-on-one) only served to get people baying for his blood.

With all this in mind, I've never understood why Lawler never got a championship run much earlier, or why he's never had at least one 'Mania match for all his long years of service. You'd have thought the Bret Hart feud would've seen them face off on the biggest stage at some point. Quite mystifying - it's clear Vince holds him in high regard.

Miz is still as over as ever, he hasn't lost anything from a couple of losses to Lawler where Orton was really the person who "won" the match for King. He is not being buried, totally or otherwise.
