I'm probably quite late to the party with these, but I discovered them while flicking the music channels last night. I loved Hot Rod so seeing a couple of the guys from that piqued my interest, and what I saw was absolutely hilarious. Funny in a balls out way, but also very, very well produced with great attention to detail of what they're parodying. I love this as much as I did the first time I ever heard Tenacious D.

 

Anyway, for those that haven't a clue what I'm on about, watch these and enjoy. Really really funny and I'll probably go out and buy the album on my dinner.

The best part of showing this to one of my mate's the other week? Him sharing the same name.

On a boat is pretty much my fav song of the year .

 

I love the album "incredibad" i got it about a month ago and its just full of amazing lyrics and great songs (who sid were whack is amazing).

 

 

Check out the film they did about 2 years ago called Hot Rod

A friend introduced me to these the other week and I spent all of my holidays revising and then listening to Lonly Island till the early hours. I still love them :D

I dont think so. They are about different subjects and the Flight of the Conchords is a light Pet Shop boys parody, Lonely Island just contains the usual hip hop and auto-tune bullshit thats popular these days.

Was at a gig Sunday and made them play Im on a Boat in between songs. It was a death metal/hardcore gig. Everybody in the room loved it and for the rest of the day everybody just kept shouting "Im on a motherfucking boat"
