    Fitzcarraldo (Prime)

Stupidly the first Herzog / Kinski I've seen. One of those films where the story behind it is even more interesting than the film itself, but the film itself is pretty great. That final third is still one of the most unbelievable spectacles ever put on film.

You should see some of the documentaries about this film Herzog did. "My Best Fiend" being one. Jason Robards (pulled out due to food poisoning) and Mick "f'ing" Jagger were supposed to be the two main actors. Some of their stuff was filmed already. Had to start all over again.

Austin v Big Show in 1999 springs to mind. I think they put it on a random episode of Raw prior to WrestleMania XV and had Austin win relatively cleanly. I think it may have been at a show in a dome (SkyDome in Toronto possibly?).

Yeah, and I think Big Show took a stunner too for the winner. Was supposed to be that Wrestlemania's Main Event too.

They are genuinely one of my most hated bands, but because their early stuff was fucking brilliant. Then they became a covers band and sold out.

Yeah, that "I Can't Help Falling in Love" version was terrible. No wonder they left it out of that "Honeymoon in Vegas" film and stuck it on the "Sliver" soundtrack.

I fucking hate Oasis with a vengeance, and anything to do with Phil Collins make me want to shit, but the one record that I have to terminate whenever I even hear it is Angels by Robbie Williams.  Just boils my bile.  Putrid self absorbed shite.

I'd have to agree with this. Anytime I see the video for it, or the audio, I'm off. It's horrible.

  5. Odd choice to make a game out of McCartney's "Give My Regard to Broad Street" film but the music's good.

My choice is basically on nostalgia really. It's not a very good song, IMO, but it'll always have a place in my heart. "Goal Scoring Superstar Hero" from "Sensible World of Soccer". First version of the game with the million bugs..

East is East (1999) (All 4)

Set in 1970s Salford, a strict Pakistani father expects his British born children to follow in his Muslim ways. I’d not seen this for years and had completely forgot how heavy it is, most notably the abusive father. A very good look at the way cultures can clash within the family environment.

"East is East" is a tremendous film that doesn't get talked about too often. Both funny and very sad and heavy at times. Around about the time Channel 4 were knocking out some great films.

  7. He got done for a quite bad assault and allowed his guns back. Whole thing is mental. Whole "Incel" thing is major weird too. Why can't they just say they can't get laid? I can't get laid but I'm not "Incel" or weird shit like that. Seems an excuse to knock about women because they ain't getting any.

    IRed Road (2006)

A CCTV operator spots a man she recognizes on camera and sets about integrating herself into his life. Slow moving at times and It’s only in the final twenty minutes we discover her reasonings. Good, gritty independent Scottish flick with a standout performance from Kate Dickie. Also features a young Martin Compston.

Just not a fan of this film. It has hardcore sex scenes that are really, really not needed. "Red Road" flats are well away now. Knocked down a few years ago. It is bloody gritty. Not a film to cheer you up.
