Sorry for posting two Sparklehorse songs in a few days, but I've listened to this no less that 999999999999 times in the last couple of days.

I've just been promoted at work. I did the job I'm going into before, covering for maternity leave just before lockdown started in 2020 and I stood down voluntarily because it was a bit of a fucking nightmare for various reasons, and also I worked out I could get paid more in my old role doing all the overtime I possibly could. After 4 years of working 80+ hours a week, I am officially tired of that, and having spoken with my management team, I've had enough assurances that I'm not going to chucked into the deep end this time, and personally I'm a lot more ready for the challenge.

Not quite what you're talking about, but similar and it's something that sticks in sticks in my mind about bellends ruining shows, but at the first Royal Quest there was a guy behind us with his son who was about 8 or 9 I reckon. His son said something like "is Okada going to do the Rainmaker now?" and his dad tuts and goes "Of course he's not going to do it this early in the match". Way to go dad, you really learned him. 

My go to Jambalaya recipe is one of theirs. I'm gonna make it this weekend in tribute. 

There was a scene where one of the wrestlers was walking to the ring, and then he was in the ring, but they didn't show how he got in. I know, because I've seen wrestling before, that he must have used the ring steps, but the thickest person I know couldn't work it out. 

3 stars, some funny bits. 

He was a very, very bad wrestler, but that run as the Million Dollar Man's manservant and subsequent turn is one of the best things in wrestling.

I'm struggling to see how your partner living in France has a bearing on that anecdote? Hope your sternum recovers quickly though. 

The stuff with Kingston was pre-agreed as well, Page just went and did it. 

I count myself as an AEW fan who soured on Punk and Page after the whole affair. Punk is a unstable idiot, and Page showed himself to be a snide tit. I've forgiven them both though, because I'm nice like that. 

It's not as bad as Rise of the Robots, I'll give it that.

Kenny Omega's Cleaner entrance

It wasn't this one I saw first, but it's pretty similar, and it's the only version I can find. It's exactly the right mix of wrestling epic, completely daft and overblown, 80s action movie gear. When he starts marching with the broom in time to the fucking FF7 music, you know you're in for a ride. As much as I still like Kenny Omega, I don't think anything he's done has made me grin like this entrance.  

EDIT: Chase Owens is shit. 

We're a whisker away from someone saying  he's held to a higher standard because he's the voice of the voiceless as if that is a real position in life and not part of his wrestling gimmick. 

Any match that Sid has been involved in.

Any match with The Warlord in it. 

I can't really be objective about those two. I sometimes see people say things like "Oh the Sid match with HBK/Bret/Benoit is actually good". To me, they all are. Because Sid's on screen.

The good 'Lord, if I were to nominate a match of his, it would be vs British Bulldog at WM7. I assume that's considered shite, because all of his work is, but to me it's a belter. 

All the music in Danny McBride/Jody Hill stuff is really well chosen, but I love the glimpses you see of the Gemstones music in The Righteous Gemstones. Try getting this out of your head.

My secret forum is only just catching up with this thread now, so we didn't suggest anything, but we would have suggested Mercs.

I know it's a real word, but when you have people saying things like "The discourse around this week's Masked Singer is becoming toxic" it wears very thin. 

How does Loki fit in with that?

That's why I'm assuming this is coming from some sort of weird grudge from someone, because the TWCF (if that's what's being referred to) had tonnes of members back in the day, including loads who posted and still post here, so its very odd those three would be singled out. 

EDIT: To be clear, I meant grudge from whoever's stirring things in Paid, not Chris.
